  1. good luck! glad to hear things are lookin up for you
  2. damn im runnin late on this thread. to all my fellow Soldiers out there for all the vets or the most recent wars(and esp for crazyhorseb34) and just cause i've been missin seeing this at Bragg happy birthday US Army. HOOAH
  3. at home it can be a struggle to get time in there to go aviating. when deployed its a different creature for me tho. no modding or flying on duty time of course, but one can find themselves with a bunch of down time if lucky. (all my deployments have been to airfields fortuneatly, lotta resources avail) you figure 20-60 min to talk to the family back home and then the rest of the day is yours. dont get me wrong in my case i'd rather be at home but if i got to be gone might as well take advantage the lack of family time. thats for SF2 but i figured the input for this thread would be good whatever era you fight in, virtually or in RL!
  4. poopyhead
  5. yes it was found in bin Ladens and Saddams collection
  6. yet another reason to stay on the deck at warp 5......
  7. as observed 75% of the time here at CA http://www.gocomics.com/pearlsbeforeswine/2011/05/24
  8. thanks Fubar and PureBlue. time to search the internets again heheheh...
  9. most i've ever seen were made in Canada, Mexico or Pakistan. I havent even heard of a Chinese one since the EP-3 went down in early 2001 (see my earlier post above) but in my opinion the Paki made ones actually fit the best with least shaping effort. course notice there doesnt seem to be America in the list of producers of American Military Headgear! what i forgot to mention in the above story was that as i recall all the chinese made berets were burnt or sold off to other countries. thats why half the Army had to wait til Feb the next year to get em.
  10. no doubt on the coolness of a beret depending on how you came about it. the beret for the airborne, Rangers and Green Beanies is the outward symbol of their esprit de corp, not the main source of it. as i recall the beret got issued to all so everyone can feel special... course this has been a part of a long line of tryin to teach Soldiers things that they inherently get or else cant be taught.like the Soldier's Creed, released after Jessica Lynch announced that she was too scared too shoot back. Yet the other female, the cook did her job and took rounds in her legs while layin down fire so her Troops could pull back and had trouble getting disability. sorry done ranting. was outta coffee and Household 6 aint lettin me smoke no more. makes me a lil cranky
  11. what, preferably free, tools are there for finding mesh names? or is it a function of 3DS Max? trying to find out what the top of the fin on the Netz is called and would be nice to figure it out on my own rather than always ask you guys what something is.
  12. funny story when they started issuing the berets. half the initial batch was made in china but this was right after the recon plane was downed by china. of course it wouldn't do for our new headgear to be made by the enemy. so Korea and CONUS got the new berets made elsewhere on Jun 14 2001 and the Guard and USAEUR got them in the middle of Feb 2002. Of course i had been a Bragg before being stationed in Germany so i had to listen to a SSG tell me how to wear a bere-T (like what ladies wear in their hair) instead of a bere-AY( like the headgear worn by Airborne personnel and units). Needless to say the class was interesting if he couldn't even pronounce it right! @ Dave if i remember your wife is a 92G or works with em. are the cooks still wearing berets in whites?
  13. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110613/pl_afp/usmilitaryuniform_20110613230044 still in use for Class A's excuse me dress blues (should be the exclusive terrian of The Old Guard up in MDW tho them blues) thank you SMA Chandler for ending GEN Shinseki's experiment. when you try to make everyone special, aint no one special and i know many Rangers that are still pissed all these years later! no more tryin to figure out which cover to wear on Monday. I say Hooah!
  14. appreiciate it dels. didn't put a level 2 in the decal.ini for the RDAF Grey skin for the Netz (hey it only has 3 line entries!) and so the service stayed the same but i can now choose the squadron. gonna hafta edit the ini in the Dutch skin for the Netz so that it akes advantage of them stock decals for the RNLAF. kinda a screwy system but it dont mess up my Phantoms (got levels 0-3 there) so i can live with it!
  15. Chuck Norris was originally to play jack bauer. however when he killed all the terrorists, defused the bombs, had a beer and got his wife pregnant in only 12 and a half minutes, the producers looked for someone who could stretch it to the full 24 hours.
  16. come to think of it i would agree with stary, as i dont seem to be able to see ground targets until between the 10 and 20 mile mark.. dont usually do it with migs unless a winder is on the way and im tryin to take a pic
  17. nother question for you all. just noticed last night while reloading the F-16 skinpacks that non stock planes/skins dont show up the nations or units in the loadout screen. belgian, danish and dutch squadrons show up on the stock skins for Hunter F6 and F-104G but not for the skins on the F-16A netz or say the Danish Draken. very disturbing as TK has many squadron decals in stock now esp for the dutch! tried matching nations to nations in the userlist, textureset ini and made sure theyu matched the nation ini. what might give here? oh and warning guys... i've got my internet back! time to p[rove again theres no stupid questions only....i dont gotta finish it do i?

  21. not to hijack but to specify one that has issues with AS missions in sf2, how about NorthCape? i can load an antiship mission but not the ships to target. i recall something about the water tiles in SF2. just not where to find them and if this will fix that specific issue. and at wrench.. why can't i run anti ship against the sand ships on the nellis ranges?
  22. wow! viel danke
