Please see the Downloads section on our website for full details. http://www.overflandersfields.com This will update v1.30 or higher of BH&H to V1.30c Improvements and Fixes in V1.30c - Ground fire effect lessened across the board (Ground MG and Flak accuracy and range reduced) - Ground fire "Realistic" setting renamed to "Hard". Normal is recommended realism - Improvement on % rating for settings - Observer gun bullet spread increased slightly across the board to help with accurate gunners - Parabellum gunner accuracy fixed (was not variable and too accurate) - Strutter observer gun down angle reduced - Renamed Front and Rear Guns settings - MG Tracer effects improved - Sopwith Strutter damage model wings strength reduced - Albatros D.V. and D.V. later damage model tweak (small fix aileron cable location) - Sopwith Triplane minor damage model tweak
  2. Yep we fixed the driver for Naturalpoint to work with OFF/CFS3 in Vista.

  4. from the FAQ 4) The CFS3 In-cloud effect switched off in cfs3config only turns off the visual 'foggy' in-cloud effect, and NOT the violent thermal vortices found in some clouds sometimes. This is as it was in CFS3. We had hoped to find a way to make it optional but cannot so far. However you should fly as they really did in WW1 and avoid going into clouds unless an emergency and you are escaping an enemy. Otherwise there is the risk of being thrown 100's of meters off course, at high speed spinning or otherwise out of control (in any direction including up!).   5. Yes one reason we wanted to keep that option in the sim Test Pilot - great fun concentrating on formation flying and adds to immersion for sure. But remember to look behind too ;)

  7. If you have two CD/DVD drives pop it in the other. If you use a "replacement" exe then don't and see. Otherwise email support with your order number and we'll try to help.
  8. Yes but AI have no effects from wind for example. They will slow down so you will catch them later.
  9. Well I said it was reasonable not perfect, and it's "around 4.3nm". But there isn't a simple button to press to enable all this. Yep variable etc would be good. If the craft see you at 4nm and decides to investigate, it does not mean they are out to kill you until they are closer. Just imagine the enemy is coming to you to check you out, and yes coming in aggressively until they are sure either way.

We need more 2 seaters, more 2 seater squads, more yes.. time.. and to stop tweaking this and actually go make em? 2 seaters are on a mission and in reality would too run away if necessary - not because they are "easy" but because often they had to get vital info back home. So that is fairly realistic, even if the AI do always run miles from you. RexH looked through and from the SDK the AI vision is about 4.3 nautical miles, fairly reasonable. It is exactly how CFS3 had it. The TAC display is MEANT to be used for the player to even that up some - it's an "awareness" tool, to compensate for the fact you are on a computer screen with limited pixels. The fact it spoils immersion is tough not a lot we can do about that. AI is meant to not see through cloud so should be possible to approach some. The AI "sight" will not get changed for P3. Now guys just go play the sim ? ;)

Quite right apart from the major indicator the topic ;) Lol Bullethead , no we won't change that behaviour at the moment due to the way CFS3 works that's what we went with we looked and that's it for now. It's not that "mysterious" ..you are dead, or about to die badly.. from collision or bullets. The mission replay should help. We are done patching. Small one coming soon then that's it we have to start making new things.

  14. OK thanks Rabu. I did a file compare Winston and the two dds ending in "5.dds" are identical to the originals. In fact the date is 2006 on those two - unless you re-uploaded that file Winston since yesterday? the 4.dds is newer sorry I meant 2 are identical, 1 different. Everyone seems to like this anyway so we'll go with what we have?
  15. Woo hold on guys, before we shout bug it quits, bug no hospital ;). Yep when you are out of it, pilot dead, a/c totally damaged beyond control etc the game will quit after a few seconds.
  16. There are 80 Roland skins in the sim, are you saying you can't select any Hauksbee ?

I think that would really depend on the many variables involved there from craft type, alt, enemy alt, weather etc. Open cockpit 100mph freezing wind numbing everything, often raining, oil from the engine, depending on what you fly. No goggles oil in the eye too, fatigue. Anyway making AI see longer or shorter range is not just a simple tweak - it's currently just the same as it was in CFS3. Maybe they didn't report on their dwindling supply of fresh undies as it's not the sort of thing you wrote about ;)
  18. How about we change the 50% and make it show 100% on the screen? :) Seems to me everyone is getting really hung up on a number. There are AMPLE settings to make it easier for players. Big brother is not watching you on this one honest. Ground fire will be easier in the next version, and there you have more hours added for free. Also we'll adjust the numbers slightly depending on settings, and (almost) everyone should be happy. The workshop settings are to cater for everyone's personal "realism" ignore the number, just set it how you like and fly and enjoy and no one will give two hoots.

  20. So how do we make it so you fly with only "1" life? There is the issue. Impossible. Unless we say "die and we format your hard drive ;) ?"
  21. Rabu's modifed tracers were already in OFF, but this is definitely an improvement we think. We would like to include it if Rabu and Winston DoRight are OK with that.. guys? We'd like your permission to put it the next patch as many people seem to like it. Don't forget Rickity you don't see 2/3 of your rounds as it's 1 in 3 I think we have it set too.

  23. Sounds intermittent, as I say it will stop if you accidentally padlock "nothing". You need to look which key you have to padlock and check it's not being pressed accidentally. Otherwise Reset CFS3 is in Workshop.
  24. I have the same stick, only ever see that if I accidentally tapped a key to lock padlock.. try clicking it again. Otherwise you'll have to do a reset CFS3 to clean out any odd settings.
