  1. UAVs may have endurance - and they are ok bombing such foes as the Taleban - but anything that has to loiter at 200kts over a real ADS wont be loitering for long - let alone in a high ECM environment where the link back may just be jammed. The pilot will be safe - but it will be mission failed - the only UAV replacement for an F-35 would be an Unmanned F-35 that doesnt rely on being controlled from the other side of the world.
  2. Did you hit the backup button? - dont think anything works till you do that you should then be able to browse to whereever you put the skins after hitting the "Directory" button - then selecting from the drop down list - (They must be .skn files)
  3. Wow - that is above and beyond Peter01 - I hope all the FE players are grateful - cos they should be!!
  4. Surprised the AV software wont allow you to authorise the file as being valid - so it will ignore it
  5. Must resist saying something nice about LOMAC....... Those skins look flippin amazing!! although - TW series with DX10 and new particle system that im sure TK is working on for Vista - we will see I guess
  6. Nice - but would still be a 4.5 gen jet (like the SU-33) without Stealth. "Stealths Days are numbered??" - Thats a bit far - are you any relation to that bloke that turned down the Beatles in 1960 because he thought Guitar bands were on the way out? think I would take an F-35 anyday over a 4.5 Jet against a modern IADS and modern jet opposition - for the foreseeable future stealth is such a big advantage its unfair!

    Thank You MK2

Many thanks MK2 for your dedication and the money you have put into this concern every month - people who come on here really dont know how lucky they are - thanks to you.
  8. Have taken the for a spin in WOV - very nice! great cockpit and M61A1 cannon animation, and much needed HUD Just need WOV to be updated now so I can use the radar :dirol: Just off to tell TK to pull his finger out
  9. What sounds are they is that USNstall etc? Yeah I have everything up to the max with the mod - but changes nothing - you would have to run Falcon to see what I mean. :moil:
  10. Would be impressed - but in reality is there any plane you couldnt put a gun on and win against a Mig in WOV? TK needs to hire the Ace Mig-29 pilot from Falcon 4 - then the only place that F-111 will be going is very fast at low level praying you can outrun him
  11. Kids today hey! - kids are no different than they have always been IMO - there have always been parents without morals, social misfits etc - thats never gonna change - just prey your not on the receiving end tis all. The environment they grow up in is a determining factor - every one is born with a clean slate - Most Films and computer games are unrealistic fantasy in every way - so if kids are not exposed to reality then they may be deluded by it - could by why that when I was in my teens I seemed to think I knew everything but actually knew sweet FA - didnt go on a rampage though - was probably subdued by too much TV - and my role in society - which was buying things I didnt need GTA has no morals - thats plain to see - who knows if games really influence people - I used to think lyrics in pop songs meant something - (as oposed to them being written down in 3 mins by a drunk tw@) so maybe - and if they really were influenced by GTA etc then society has to put up with it.
  12. Jeez - Does that B-52 have its own hangar? where would you keep one of those? The F-22 is great - like the way he takes off like the real thing does at airshows - albeit on rough ground! Its a shame when these come down - pretty difficult to control - and you wouldnt think a Jet powered RC F-4 would be a great idea would you :beta1: Least when my PC crashes it only takes a day to rebuild it :)
  13. There are only F-16 pits for AF Aeyes did the original 2D/3D - but has recently released Widescreen payware versions Zerks released a free 3D pit http://zerk.110mb.com/ then there are the Stopworks pits http://www.stopworks.us/
  14. You need to run it in Win 98 compatibility mode - right click on the exe - Compatibility tab (for WinXP) - see the knowledge base there must be loads about it there. Any other problems you may have the wrong version - but i dont know what game you have. The gun editor works on all versions anyway i think
  15. The F-111 carries Sidewinders doesnt it :close_tema:
  16. have just tried downloading from http://www.column5.us/miragef.shtml - but my AV software screams blue murder and tells me its "Adware.win32.eshopper.p" as soon as I save it to the desktop. It may be okay - but because its coming down as an .exe - it may just be a false positve - though best if C5 checks it out I reakon
  17. Happy Birthday to ya!
  18. Yep taking an interest in the Nam air war certainly gives WOV that immersive factor that wouldnt be there otherwise - More I read the more I mod it I suppose - even 4 years later I havnt even began to cover some of the aircraft used in it in that much detail - the EB-66C/Es spend 99% of their time as AI recon or transport craft for example.
  19. Now that looks like the type of thing that would appear in a Dale Brown fantasy!

  22. amazing work here as usual - am looking forward to the D version myself
  23. B-52 Airborne Electronic Attack Technical Maturation Contract awarded Written on June 27, 2008 – 9:25 pm | by FIDSNS | The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] has been awarded a $14.9 million contract by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory to develop and mature technologies required to enable airborne electronic attack from long distances, filling the stand-off electronic attack role. The contract includes systems engineering studies focusing on potential pod installation on the B-52H aircraft, as the designated demonstration airframe. This effort will advance the technology required for the planned Core Component Jammer (CCJ). “We look forward to maturing the planned CCJ technology, which will keep our warfighters safer as they complete missions in the air and on the ground,” said Scot Oathout, director of B-52 Programs for Boeing. “This is the first step in getting this capability fielded, and the B-52H is the right platform to mature this technology.” The multi-mission B-52H is the only platform in the Air Force inventory that accommodates all necessary attributes for jamming electronic attacks while delivering its full complement of weapons, including responsiveness, range, loiter time, size and power. “Adding this capability to the B-52H will strengthen its position as the most versatile aircraft in the U.S. inventory,” said Jeff Weis, CCJ program manager for Boeing. “The B-52 will still be able to deliver precision weapons on target while protecting other allied forces in theater.” The Boeing-led team will employ the electronic-attack expertise of Bethpage, N.Y.-based Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems. After successful completion of this initial three-year effort, a follow-on effort to demonstrate in-flight, stand-off jamming on the B-52 is scheduled for 2011-2012. from Article
