  1. Is there a reason for not adding any patches? raises the question if WOV actually works in its distributed form. Suggest you install the patches - assumed you had
  2. Hows everyone finding the AI in WOI? Was thinking of dling it today but http://www.thirdwire.com/ seems to be down at the mo Had to reinstall my graphics drivers yesterday - and tested WOV out to check it ran ok. Have the Uber AI mod and new lethal flak mod - but they didnt stop me - even decided to down 3 x Mig 21s on my way home - they were all turning as well and trying to fight (in the best way they can) but I guess my stock A-7B was just to agile and fast for them. 2 with guns - 1 after firing both winders from the tail How did I get on his tail! - I should have been easy meat for those chumps! wasnt even using trackIR
  3. Its a radar guided missile - You need to get a radar lock first There is an article here - hope you can read it: http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_061a.html The Sidewinder is a heat seeker which is why you dont need the radar for that.
  4. Ahh the joys of 50s/60s jets - like the F-100 and F-104 practise, practise, practise and forget trying to just pull the stick back and trying to turn in a d/f Theres an article on A-G weps techniques from Andy Bush here that may help you http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_055a.html
  5. You need another version of Direct X - see the knowledge base. Or you have installed new weapons with the wrong weapons editor.
  6. This ones made the national news here - think its more to do with the amount of money they actually cost though! Lets hope this is the first and last B2 - there arnt that many of them anyway
  7. Didnt use the F-15 in WOE much - was just unfair on the poor Migs - sounds like things may have changed in that regards
  8. LOL - that would be a refreshing change - got an Airmedal in just about every completed mission in the others.
  9. That used to happen in Strike Fighters - though it used to bug and go white if you shot down too many - forget what the threshold was
  10. Nice thanks man - was this on the Lockheed Martin Site?
  11. Yes - it you mean this: One way is to install the game, Patch it fully, Make a copy of the entire game folder, Call it something like WOV_SP4_Modded or whatever, Then run your extra add on game from the .exe from within that new folder you have just created The game doesnt use the registry much so you can create as many installs from the original as you like You have to do this for any campaigns you want to install anyway btw
  12. Ah brings back memories - I was disapointed when the SFP1 manual said I could deploy a drag chute and it wasnt implemented Actually the Mig 25s deploy their chutes automatically when you land - which is much better in someways because you dont forget to deploy them and you dont deploy them to early.
  13. Looks as good as the Payware set - million times better than the stock terrain - have you got many lines at the tile edges?
  14. Yep okay - have loads of pics - will send you a pm
  15. Aw... I think the F-18F would be a great buy tbh - 1 plane with 10 x AIM120C-7s - sorted! Getting carriers is a bit of a trend at the mo - an international task force to any trouble spot in the world is the goal I suppose
  16. http://www.column5.us/sfchart.htm Thats some plane list there - 3 versions of the Hunter, Vautour, Mystere, A-4H - ace!!
  17. Cant believe there are still articles floating about on the subject http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0EK...v38/ai_13077535
  18. Well good point really - its not on my list - and I certainly wont be rushing out to buy a Blu-ray player until its been around for a while and the price has bottomed out. Now blue ray on a PS3 - through a friends 28" HD Widescreen TFT TV (about £2000) looks amazing I must admit. But then again my current TV - a Phillips 25" CRT - that cost £20 off a mate is never gonna be great. I Have a VHS/DVD combi player - only VHS records though because standard DVD recorders seem to expensive still and there are too many formats - and I have 2 PCs that can do this. Bought my first DVD film in 2004 and that was half price - so now as predicted my DVD and VHS collection is a worthless pile of plastic - worth about 50p each (if that) at a car boot sale! but then again its worthless pile of plastic anyway I suppose
  19. Think they are already a member with older types. GD couldnt even see it in 1990 about when they decided to sell to LM Still i suppose hindsight is a great thing
  20. Hmm well the USAF is having a tough time - but spare a thought for the RAF - who may need to wheel some Lancasters out of the museum soon - and of course the Algerian AF with their Friday afternoon built Migs!
  21. Things are pretty bad when even Algeria complains. Theres no excuse for bad quality anymore(if that really is the case) - when any of their competitors like France CAN export good quality. Well I hope they kept the receipt - though I suspect the Russians may not offer customer satisfaction or your money back!
  22. Radio controlled planes have always been expensive - always wanted a Spitfire when I was little but couldnt afford it either
  23. Well beggars cant be choosers! and besides when did Russia give anything good away!
  24. Excellent nice of him to give us these features - can finally riddle the place with static stock planes without using single missions (i think) Not really important but before anyone else asks - can you turn the engine off Wonder if TK will still be supporting the original Strike Fighters with the next service packs.

    Bad Day!

The jet looks more intact than it should be!
