  1. Yes, that is unfortunate. But I am not looking for pdf. I am old-fashioned, preferring paper over binary code . A friend of mine, a few years ago, sent me a message while he was strolling through some antique bookshops in Belgium...so my answer, "nah, why would I need a book about Starfighter in Greece, just leave it...maybe next time," well, still waiting for the next time....

  6. View File Starfighters - Koninklijke Luchtmacht Royal Netherlands Air Force Starfighters. This mod offers my personal approach to the KLu (Koninklijke Luchtmacht) F-104 series. It is not intended to replace or compete with previous packs. I recommend testing it before removing any older mods, as you may prefer one over the other. Installation & Requirements: Skill Level: Basic modding skills are required (copy/pasting and managing mod folder structures). Process: Copy and paste the specific folders into your game's directory. Required Files: You must have a "fake pilot" installed and the original Thirdwire F-104 cockpit from the base game. Game Menu: In-game, aircraft are listed with the .KLu. prefix - Koninklijke Luchtmacht Fuel tanks- Tanks are just ini files. The mod uses tanks that are part of an aircraft lod. Now mod uses an additional no-fuel tanks loadout. Simply, If you want ot fly with a clean wing, choose from the loadout dropdown menu option - no tanks. You need this specific weapon in the weapons folder. I have added some new pilot models; you can switch them easily in data.ini file, if you have such a desire. Although iyt is important to remember that those pilots work well with the provided Lockheed C-2 seat. It was never tested in another configuration. All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed. Paint schemes and decals represent historically correct serial numbers assigned to aircraft during their service in the Netherlands Air Force, for a specific year, squadron, etc. Historically, the first Dutch starfighters were F-104G AWX versions operated by the 306th squadron, then passed to the 322nd and 323rd squadrons. In 1964, the first fighter-bomber variant was delivered to 311st squadron and a year later to the 312th squadron. In 1963, after transferring the AWX variant into the defence squadrons 306th squadron received its first RF-104G. Those airframes were used until 1974, when all remaining RF-104G were upgraded by removing the internal camera bay and equipping it with a new Orpheus recon pod. In-game you will have: F-104G '64 early fighter bomber variant. F-104G '77 late fighter-bomber variant with ALQ-126 ecm. F-104G AWX air defence fighter variant. RF-104G reconnaissance variant with internal camera bay. RF-104G(O) '74 Orpheus recon variant. RF-104G(O) '77 Orpheus recon variant with ALQ-126 ecm. The fighter-bomber variant is capable of delivering a special weapon. Known as nukes. Even if goverment will deny, they were training with imitation rounds. Anyway, after loading nuke, the M61 gun will be unloaded automatically. The plan was to use extra fuel loaded in gun/ammo bay but KLu did not practice that. But there is extra fuel cell in RF variant. RF-104(G) - were built on old RF airframes, and some were withdrawn from the air defence role F-04G. Over the time IRST window were closed up with a metal sheet. But not on all airframes. But here in-game, all RF-104G have the IRST window closed. I disabled radar in RF variants. It does not look good, I do not like it. But at least there is no radar. In fact, this is just a temporary solution. Cockpit in general is a temporary solution, along with cockpit and avionics files. But for the new cockpit, you will have to wait a little longer. Credits. 3d modeling, mambo jumbo like skins, decals, some effects, ini work, pilots and seats model - yours truly .JH. Soulfreak - original templates, All skins in some way are based on his work. Some parts on the skin is his work, some is mine.   9. I have two more to upload, ready. Hope can manage this weekend. Have to paint the seat, though. But as for something completely different. I am looking for Hellenic Wings: F-104G Starfighter by Nick Spanos - a book from 1993?. Maybe someone can direct me to some used ones... anyone know any books about Spanish service? I know there is a small monograph from Fuerzas Militares. But was hoping for something more detailed.
  10. Depends on how you look at them....But I guess it is challenging in the terrain editor. No one is going to stop you. Just do as other modders do. Wait 2 weeks and work again...and then again.

  12. I uploaded new version for Norwegian zippers. Many new things. So It is better to delete old ones before installing this new one. New pilot models that work with new seats. In data.ini you will find lines in the pilot section that you can change in case you want to use a different pilot model. Since I like having fuel tanks visible on flightline aircraft...Starfighter looks just right with it, I have edited data.ini file and added new "new" weapon for the wing tips. This is to disable fuel tanks. Otherwise, if you choose <empty,> you will still fly with tanks but empty. here example: - empty tanks - full fuel tanks -no tanks, clean wings. In Norwegian Starfigters, weapon stations might be a little confusing, but it is best when you will depend on loadout.ini. Simply - in F-104G catamaran, AIM-9 should NOT be loaded with wing sidewinders. This is faux pas. In CF-104 catamaran in A2A role but not to use in the ground attack role. Not mixing. Some problems occur with the training dispenser. Maybe there is a solution, maybe not. I tried everything, It is what it is...game engine limits. I made peace with it, so you can also.   14. as long as you do not mess with the sequence numbers of every nation, you can not do much harm. But yes, the nation list is the same for all possible installs.
