We figured that the best way is to give it a stock Royal Lightning inis. Then your wingman will actually engage. The efficiency of aerail FFAR is another questionable thing - in-game and in real life... was just messing around with the landing gear...and got distracted by an old topic on CA.... But as I said. I will upload the proper lod when this one is checked.
-
it is always ok to ask..... 3lau128.rar 6.5 minutes of work. Pulling mesh from F-22....I was already distracted by some random post in the topic that we thought was already long gone, forgotten, and solved... but no... But I am telling you. This is more of ini work than a model. Now, now. Check if it works, and is ok. Then contact me...and I will re-assign the bitmap and export again... for now, it is not mapped properly, therefore can not be used that way.

I think someone did a missile rack for three. It was a part of some mod...not sure when, why, and where. We did not try to do this in some old jets? Aerial FFARs? Scorpion Sabre Dog.....I think it turned out quite ineffective. But maybe a new, fresh approach....
-
No i do not think so. Perhaps you can make something to work as... If you have 3d mesh for 3 missiles..but in data.ini you have work around the problem. In KLu 104 I have added a training rocket/bomb dispenser...It is not supported in-game to have a rocket launcher - bomb rack together...but it is possible to make it work - In a way. You, just need to think out of the box...

What is your point? Then they do not have to play this game.... I was planning to buy a boat this year...but turns out the universe has other plans for my wife and me....I have to change plans. But it does not mean I will go to the marina and jump on a random boat to have "FUN" in a game called fishing. Creating an account opens many doors. You can still download any mod without paying. I have been here since 2013. Never paid for any mod. I simply contribute any way I can. uh uh... as long as mods are safe (in any way..not only protected from ripping off...but also from disappearing forever) Oh, for sad dogs' sake... You do not understand. Mods are free. The site needs money to keep the server alive...so mods can be stored somewhere. Is that so fucking hard to understand? Nothing is for FREE. IF something is FREE, it means someone else has to pay for it. Now. How does it sound: I had this proposition at the time all these changes (subscription plans) were in motion. But I said to myself, hell, keep quiet. It is only modders who should pay for the site. Those bastards are making fucking huge mods....and they are occupying virtual storage space. So you make the mod...pay for space that the mod can be stored...and all the rest can enjoy it for free. Does it sound fair? Now I am pissed off.... I was making a new main landing gear mesh....and suddenly saw this topic pop-up again while sipping coffee...

Ahoy! Well, some time ago, I was working with GKABS on A-6A/B/C, which came out quite nicely. And having some extra time then....I put some things together and made this... EA-6A. I think I was posting this somewhere already. Would be crap if this were never to be finished... Anyway. Apart from a few, very small things to be finished. Most of it is done. Still, ALQ containers need to be done, but this is not so important at the moment. I am stopping by here to ask if someone is interested in working on this in the area of skins, decals, sorting out serial numbers, service years within units, etc. Those who know my mods and have ever downloaded something from me know how I make mods (so I might be demanding in this area). Templates are ready, so skins and decals will be the easy part. It is always about research. No general skins, and it would be great to make a Nam-era-dedicated mod and another mod focusing on Navy /USMC deployments. Anyway. It does not have to happen now. A general survey to see if someone is interested in cooperation and to give an opportunity to do some modding. (Although I know you old farts modders have quite a lot of things to do, but I have mostly in mind new users who hesitate to get involved in modding.) Have a good day, folks.

Oi... But it never went further than that. But it is far behind the Marine AV-8B standard. And never even started refurbishment for the royal cockpit.

As it should be. But I am confused. You are claiming that it should have access to the minigun only on one side, as it is. Or you are expecting it to have access on both sides. Then, those files are still ok as it can load only one minigun on the left side. TOW - as far as I remember, aircraft should have access to all 4 variants. If not, then use this: TOW up.rar Unless your statement claims that it should have, in fact, access only to A and B. That could be true. Could be. Was it uploaded 11 years ago? Then the modder is also obsolete at the moment. But as far as I remember, all is correct to my knowledge.

of course, I could not avoid sneaking bugs...so you might want to replace the main LOD files. Fixing the assisting brake chute. GAF_Update1.rar And another sort of update, Marineflieger Starfighters are quite ready. Still have to go through serial numbers, etc...(I did it like 3 years ago...but now I have some new Ideas...) Should come in a few variants, more or less: This does not fully represent real upgrades/times features, but this is the best way that I came up with. F-104G '64 "Zeus" program - fighter bomber with pylons and wiring for As.30 missile and 20mm gun. 21 airframes F-104G '65 "Yoga" + "Prince" program - as above, but with additional rails for AIM-9B (28 + 25 airframes). Yoga was for 2/MFG1 while Prince was for 2/MFG2 F-104G '69 This variant will combine '64 and '65 but with MTU engine and Martin-Baker seats. - so this combines non-Sidewinders airframes too (21 to be exact) - but due to game limits, I will leave it that way. F-104G '75 As above but with some other stuff added, newer MB seat...etc, minus airframes that went for RF conversion that time. F-104G '82 leftovers of all airframes that were upgraded with AN/ALE-40. Here upgrades took few years (1982-1984) But for sake of game it will be 82. RF-104G '65 "Earl" first variant of Marineflieger RF. With wiring and pylon for AS.30 system. 27 airframes. RF-104G '69 as above but with MB seat and MTU engine upgrade. RF-104G '75 (78) some of the F-104G and remaing RF were rebuild to new RF variant with side oblique camera KS-87B. (although rebuild also took some time betwen 75-78...so might change start service date). RF-104G '82 again adding AN/ALE-40 countermeasures. So this is how it is going to be..more or less. At least for now. IF you have suggestions feel free to share. Ravenclaws AS.34 and AS.30 are fitting pylons nicely. However, we could not find any good reference on AS.20 launcher, as this missile was not attached to the pylon directly but via the launcher (a similar one to use on Mystere?), I have a idea of shape as this was derivative from AS.11 rail..But still any info appreciated. So either I will totally discard AS.20 (I would like to avoid this), or we will have to wait a little longer for flying over the bathtub. In the meantime, maybe some other air force will come to play. Still have Belgium and Greece in Europe.

View File Starfighters - Luftwaffe German Air Force Starfighters. This mod offers my personal approach to the Luftwaffe F-104 series. It is not intended to replace or compete with previous packs. I recommend testing it before removing any older mods, as you may prefer one over the other. Installation & Requirements: Skill Level: Basic modding skills are required (copy/pasting and managing mod folder structures). Process: Copy and paste the specific folders into your game's directory. Required Files: You must have a "fake pilot" installed and the original Thirdwire F-104 cockpit from the base game. Game Menu: In-game, aircraft are listed with the .Lfw. prefix - Luftwaffe Fuel tanks- Tanks are just ini files. The mod uses tanks that are part of an aircraft lod. Now, the mod uses an additional no-fuel tanks loadout. Simply, if you want to fly with a clean wing, choose from the loadout dropdown menu option - no tanks. You need this specific weapon in the weapons folder. I have added some new pilot models; you can switch them easily in the data.ini file, if you have such a desire. Although it is important to remember that those pilots work well with the provided Lockheed and Martin-Baker seats. It was never tested in another configuration. All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed. Paint schemes and decals represent historically correct serial numbers assigned to aircraft during their service in the German Air Force, mostly for a specific year as stated in texture.ini. Some of the early paint schemes use the whole pool of serial numbers. Generally, all early squadron folders use a generic number system. In-game, you will have: F-104G '61 early fighter-bomber variant, original C-2 seat and J79-GE-11 engine. F-104G '69 late fighter-bomber variant with Martin-Baker seat and new J79-MTU-J1K engine. F-104G '79 late fighter-bomber variant with EL-70 and EL-73 ecm systems. J79-MTU-J1K engine. F-104G AWX '63 air defence fighter variant. F-104G AWX '69 air defence fighter variant with Martin-Baker seat and J79-MTU-1JK engine. RF-104G '63 early reconnaissance variant with internal camera bay. RF-104G '69 late reconnaissance variant with internal camera bay. Martin-Baker seat and J79-MTU-J1K engine. Some of the late fighter-bomber variants at some point (1976) were equipped with a flight data recorder (LEADS200), which is represented on particular airframes via decal. The fighter-bomber variant is capable of delivering a special weapon. After loading the Nuke, the M61 gun will be unloaded automatically. The plan was to use extra fuel. But this is not represented in-game at this stage. But there is an extra fuel cell in the RF variant. I disabled radar in RF variants. It does not look good, and I do not like it. But at least there is no radar. In fact, this is just a temporary solution. Cockpit in general is a temporary solution, along with cockpit and avionics files. But for the new cockpit, you will have to wait a little longer. Credits. 3d modeling, mambo jumbo like skins, decals, some effects, ini work, pilots, and seats model - yours truly, JH. Soulfreak - original templates, All skins in some way are based on his work. Some parts on the skin are his work, some are mine. Decals for RF. The original model - Bobrock, Soulfreak, and my shitload of work hours to bring it to this standard. pilot model - I used a few parts from GKABS and guuruu work. light effects - guuruu All weapons by Ravenclaw, you should have them by now, but I have included what is listed in loadout.ini. TFU-11B is based on Ravenclaw's HVAR. Lepus M/60B on double rack is my work, but of course, based on Ravenclaw's models. Cockpit repaint by Sophocles Avionics by alfa2 and some work of Eagle114th Effects is Eagle114th's work. With my small modifications. Engine effects are based on Eagle114th's work. If you already have these files, you can use your own. Or make a backup and test the ones that are provided here. I changed a little afterburner effect, colors etc. So, before using, think twice about the steps you are going to take. Please don't forget to say thank you if you like the file. Luftwaffe Starfighters should be uploaded very soon. There are several changes in the data.ini compared to my previous releases. First, I changed something in CG and the landing gear parameters. Now it leans forward much better when fully loaded. Now it uses a common engine effect (one from the update above) - but again it is edited a little to make it less "bulky" so it is more transparent, and generally I like this one more. You might want to make a backup of your old effect files. Thanks to all for all the feedback on previous releases. And if you approve these data mods, at some point, I will edit and add in future updates to all earlier uploaded Starfighters. Thanks, Svetlin and Nighsade/PR, for some testing. IN this pack, you will find German Doppellastträger - DLT - or as it is called here - TSC. I edited the start default date for 1975. As this is the information that I currently have, this was the year of introduction. So, for other countries (the Netherlands and Norway) that use them in loadout.ini - start default date might cause some problems, which is easily editable in Notepad, so do not panic. I added one more M-B seat available for the late years. As due to my observations, early M-B seats were the same as on Italian and Danish Starfighters. Some changes in the headrest part appear already in the late 70s - 80s. And one more pilot, this time with the Gueneau 316 helmet. In 1976, it was decided that some starfighters (50) would be equipped with the LEADS 200 flight data recorder. I represented this via a decal on the rear part of the fuselage(tail) rather than painting it on the skin. This way, it is present only on specific airframes. Last two skin sets for JaBo '79 - JBG34 years - 1984-1985. Those skin sets are literaly the same - decals, numbers. The difference is in the camouflage pattern. In reality, Norm83 was not painted on every airframe at the same time, and was done during a major overhaul (IRAN). So not the whole wing was painted at the same time, and Starfighters within JBG34 during 80s were in two variants of camouflage. In fact, another Technical Order states that all airframes from JBG34 that will not receive a new camouflage pattern should receive a modified camouflage pattern “Norm 1962 Ü/83” -this adds colors on the underside to the existing paint with the already existing RAL6014. But I only found 1 airframe (23+30) painted this way up to date...so this might be the only one. One more thing. This was one of the first mods built. So at the very beginning, we had quite a different approach. So you will notice that in all early markings, decals are calling for number codes from a generic pool of decals. And for later years, when numbers were easier to track, it was the way as usual - numbers that were assigned to a wing/squadron for particular years. The thing about updates. I certainly will update previous Starfighter mods. As I found some issues, mistakes, etc. that need to be addressed. For example, I already changed the CB variant of the Italian Starfighter. Now it is in 3 mods. early like before, new one - interim for the whole 70s with M-B seat but without ECM. and late for the end of 70s until the end of service with ecm added. with corrected years for the introduction of EL.70/73 systems. Main reason - while making cockpit - it will be more accurately represented for specific years. Engine effects if satisfactory, will be fixed for previous uploads too. If you have some suggestions, let me know here.

Request/Hopefully a resource thread down the line?
yakarov79 replied to F5TigerIIGuy's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
Yea..but I can not provide any support regarding Blender. Hence, my question if raw max file is good enough. I have a few here and there. I can spare a castrated model for educational purposes. -

You mean like 3d max files? Raw file to edit in 3dmax 2009? -

Было бы гораздо вежливее писать на английском (так как это основной язык форума). Здесь ребята со всего мира; английский для них не родной, но они всё равно стараются на нём писать (даже если для этого приходится пользоваться переводчиком). You know that for some, it might be rude, as not everyone will understand Russian, And it would be much more polite to write in English (as this is the main language on the forum). Guys are from all over the world, and English is not their native language, yet they still make an effort (even if it requires using a translation application)

That is sad. Hope you will get better soon. Take care.
