You need this. For many mods in CA. I suggest to download and put it in your pilots folder. FakePilot.rar Use others stuff. The thing I am using Fakepilot mod - because it gives me some more possibilities knowing game engine limitations.

Normally throttle vector control on 88-89 degree increase power 55% wait little and then increase to 100% and helo will take off nicely. Have fun. you can make any amount of distance lods...(recently i'm making 2-3) It just lod model with lower amount of polys - less detailed for longer distance...(on far lods I'm removing cockpit details, small parts glass etc...) Generally I'm getting model and removing small parts , details that are not seen already at longer distance....lod for longer distance can have just general shape of wings and fuselage.

Yes, it is possible and it is working. So no worries. You can switch front - aft seat. The cockpit is built this way...known feature of few aircrafts. Perfectly would be - if you switch to backseat ...then you can not go to front seat while in the air... ... - at least that is how it works in my beta TAV-8.
