  1. Some shots with included (but optional, not forcing anyone to use them) treemod and heightmaps: Thirdwire's IsraelME
  2. Series 2 but should work with 1 too
  3. Dave, the version with trees doesn't look bad either Seriously, thanks you again for helping me out
  4. I love the demo for it's terrain visuals. I can't buy it, they still don't accept paypal :( But the visuals are the best so far IMO. The only thing off is simplified damage model. But I'll let speak someone who has it.
  5. Hi Quack, I have mine updated for FE2 somewhere, will search for it. Nothing big, just my older f/x pack with Dx10 shaders and some tweaks.
  6. Finally downloaded without corrupted file -really great amount of high quality work there Jan But I'll release my poor-mans updated version anyway, just for fun
  7. for FE2 users try these settings for solidobjects: [solidObjectTextureMaterial] EffectShaderName= //terSolidObject.fx DepthBufferCheck=TRUE DepthBufferWrite=TRUE //FALSE RenderedInOrder=TRUE //FALSE AlphaTestEnabled=FALSE //FALSE CullMode=NO_CULL //COUNTERCLOCKWISE LightEnabled=TRUE SpecularEnabled=FALSE EmissiveEnabled=FALSE FogEnabled=TRUE AmbientColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 DiffuseColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 ZBufferOffset=2.000000 BlendOp=BLEND_SRC_ALPHA NumTextureStages=1 TextureStage[01].TextureName= TextureStage[01].MipMap=TRUE TextureStage[01].FilterEnabled=TRUE TextureStage[01].StageColorOp=TEXTURE_MODULATE_DIFFUSE TextureStage[01].StageAlphaOp=TEXTURE works ok for me
  8. Patient one, that's for sure
  9. Most impressive amount of work you put into these, will be pleasure to fly over, Jan
  10. Yes, simply copy the content of the zipped files to your MOD \terrains\GermanyCE folder
  11. Yes, standard Terrain Editor (version from 2006)
  12. Hello Sokol! ad.1 -these aren't exactly roads or streets, more like field road between fields -I wrote in readme that I wanted to keep the mood of original Thirdwire textures, in fact I painted most of my new textures over (resized) original ones, including the fields layout ad.2 -I know, been several times in Germany as a kid (my aunt still lives in Karlsruche, my dad worked in Leipzig some time), but as an architect in real life I hate to put in flatroof houses (frostrating engine limitation), there was version with slightly different cities and villages at some point but I scrapped that version, maybe in update, but other projects have bigger priority now (you'll like those projects I hope) here's saved shot of the other cities idea that I dropped in the process: again, maybe in some update
  13. The last version you send me has Vietnam_xx naming, perhaps I've missed newer one. The one I have is the version I did trees for around May or June '08 -dull brown one (not in a bad sense, still looks good) As for models -I think Zur's or GMG's models are of enough fidelity, in fact Zur's Sabre was the best looking aircraft 3D wise for this series for years!
  14. Sure thing JM, I was pointing out that "old series" engine hits it's limits at some point, anyway in my case it did, the next gen updated rendering pushes it further. And roger-roger on the second one
  15. quack74, just to let you know that the jet titles had no updates/patches for more than TWO years between '06 and '08. And if you ask me what's the point buying FE2? There would be tons of things in the inis to discover, but most important feature will be Advanced Shaders -no point in having good rig when you have 20 fps maxed out (my case with heavily modded SFP1) -with advanced shaders it goes up to 70-ties in SF2! All on unlimited. And this does it for me just fine. If you expect new planes or mannable gunners seats, well, you won't find these in FE2 AFAIK. And no collidable trees, this one's a downer for me
  16. Ground Objects folder?
  17. damn, what the hell? I tested this before release... or maybe somethings wrong on my side, in Terrain Editor, will check
  18. It's new small file, just approved by Dave: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=10408 OT: @Brain32: The only thing that holds me from buying it right at the moment is the download size... My ISP is utter f****er, 6,20+ GB would take a week or so; I heard about plans of boxed version later this year in Poland, will test my patience This little lite-sim gem proves that complex environment (those dark gray plumes of smoke over Berlin!) makes for the "simulation feel" more than engine management details, for me at least. Yes, the controls settings in demo FUBAR on game exit
  19. View File Fixed TFD file for my HR SF2E GermanyCE terrain update This is new GERMANYCE.TFD file to fix the trees appearing on some runways and taxiways in the following airbases: Pferdsfeld (305,381) Ahlhorn (345,669) Gutersloh (348,577) Neuburg (523,273) Fix includes simple retiling of areas around given bases. 20. Credits go to you and FalconCAF for finding those

  22. Fix (new GermanyCE.TFD file) uploaded, if you find any more such misplaced trees, let me know. I searched for, couldn't find. Sorry for slight delay, blame WOP demo
  23. I fixed Pferdsfeld, Ahlhorn and Neuburg, but can't find Gutersloh in my targets.ini -it's stock SF2E dec09 with NF4+ install? Are you sure about the spelling, or do you have some extra airbases added in your install? I have no target areas named Gut**** at all Found it.
  24. I think Brain32's repaint is the way to go (OF COURSE I'd love to utilise my Germany repaint on this one...) The thing it's not the tileset -it's the texture list -Kevin I hope you dropped the BN-something textures in favour of Vietnam_xx tileset as in Brain's repaint..? This is the way to go. Of course you could re-texture the terrain using the Germany_xx tileset for my upcoming 1024 Taiwan repaint, but it's a WIP as of now. Stick with Brain32's tileset naming (Vietnam_xx), it's the way to go.
  25. 10/10 shame we don't vote for screenshot of the month any longer, this one's my own vote!
