Apparently it was the gas they vented from the containment building that exploded. The actual containment building and reactor core are undamaged and radiation levels are dropping.

I think it autogenerates mipmaps the first time you save the .dds file. Regenerating the mipmaps is in case you have a set of mipmaps already, say 6 and want to reduce it to only 2 levels or if you want to apply some filter to the mipmaps or change them in any way in an existing .dds file. A great tool for compressing .dds is ATI Compressonator which gives you a few more options on optimizing quality vs size.

SF2 Future?

Cockpits aren't really that hard to make. They're tedious to do but the actual model and texture work is no different from anything else. Environments are by far harder to do because you need a lot more content and any one flaw will likely break the immersion completely. IMO SF suffers from an imbalance of detail as the planes and cockpits are real good but the terrain has not evolved since 2002 and it looked dated back then. Just simple things like better autogen vegetation, SSAO and world-reflecting water and per-tile bump and specular maps would help immensely. Likewise adding a lightmap to the stock props like the carrier and tanks would instantly make them look ten times better, and it is really not that difficult to do for a seasoned programmer. -

Retired and sold for scrap! -
Is that the one with Jürgen Prochnow where his band of terrorists hijack a USAF C-5 in midair (They use a fake KC-135 and somehow enter through the refuelling boom) which is carrying a couple of F-117's equipped with some hi-tech VR system, where towards the end they just drop the 117's out the back of the C-5, unfold the wings in midair and then have a dogfight, with the hero shooting down Prochnow with an IR Maverick? "Interceptor" I think it was called.

Looks like one of the Blackstar concepts, but most of those used belly-drop configuration as after the D-21 accident piggyback was considered too dangerous. -

Keep in mind my model depicts the Model 201 CTOL derivative and would certainly benefit from losing the heavy lift engines and associated VTO equipment. -
People too lazy to work do not usually have any decent standard of living anyway. Unless you want to try and convince me that the €200 I got to live on each month as unemployed after bills were paid = luxury living. So it evens itself out. If you want a decent living you got to work for it. Averaging 1-2 sickdays/week doesn't usually translate into good job opportunities. Personally I think it's better that these people get peanuts to live on from my tax money than giving them nothing and then having to foot the much bigger cost of housing them in prison after they commit crimes instead. What I'm really tired of (and I'm only 30) is having to lower my living standard because the fat cats who run the power grid around here aren't satisfied with their monopoly on electricity but feel the need to really press the pennies out of their customers as if they were a medieval sheriff. I'm also tired of being told my vote matters when all I can vote on is neo-liberal bankers who do not give a s**t about ordinary people. I'm also tired of being told everything gets so much better if we just privatize a little more so some fat cat can profit on lowering my standard of living. I'm also tired of capitalist media who gleefully brainwash the youth with black gangsta culture just for the sake of turning a profit. Furthermore I'm also tired of the fact noone builds apartments people can afford anymore with the result that the housing shortage forces prices up into the millions so that we have no choice but go to the banks and indebt ourselves just to get somewhere to live. Thankfully I'm one of the lucky ones who has a job that I love.

Not seeing it, really. You should experiment with putting some colored oil leaks and stuff in it. Maybe leading edge miscolorations due to heat. -
I heard it's gonna stay this cold 'til April. Was -9 this morning :(

Maybe they should've made sure there are actual jobs available so people do not have to go unemployed. I hear unemployment is only due to laziness and nothing else.

New style of Aviation... possibly
Julhelm replied to Slartibartfast's topic in Military and General Aviation
It probably stands a better chance of doing so than the Moller Skycar which props up in media from time to time.
