  1. C551 Giuseppe Garibaldi

Giuseppe Garibaldi C551 is the current flagship of the Marina Militare Italiana, the Italian Navy.
Built by Fincantieri at the Monfalcone shipyards near Gorizia, laid down in March 1981, launched in 1983 and commissioned on September 30, 1985. Garibaldi is classed as a CVS–ASW (Aircraft Carrier - Anti-Submarine Warfare) and is based in Taranto.

Defences are provided by two eight-cell SAM launchers firing the SARH Aspide missile and by three Oto Melara Twin 40L70 DARDO CIWS.

Her air-wing consists of either a maximum sixteen AV-8B Harrier II Plus, or eighteen Agusta helicopters or a mix of helicopters and fighters. The flight-deck is a characteristic off-axis design with 4 degrees ski-jump for STOL aircraft, it is 174 m long and 30,4 m wide.

  3. KM Graf Zeppelin Aircraft Carrier
    For SF/WoV/WoE WW2: ETO/SWOTL Installs

A definate "What If..." style of ship, based off Hinchbrook's HMS Eagle
(and yes, I know the after deck was fully enclosed, as was the bow - it's the best, closest fit we have)
As a WARSHIP, it probably (and hopefully) won't show up in single, anti-ship missions, but can be used in single missions created with the Kreelins Mission Editor or La Missionuer (sp?)

With many thinks the Hinch for allowing me to mod his faux-Eagle into something 'passable' for the Krieg Marine.

Simply put, this is mostly for fun. So, enjoy it! :)

  5. Revised version of the carrier 25 de Mayo.

    Model by Hinchinbrooke.
    Texture by Gramps.

Disclaimer: As a favour to Gramps, I created a model of HMAS Melbourne, adding the "angle" from my model of HMS Victorious to my model of HMS Albion. Gramps repainted Melbourne to represent the Argentine carrier 25 de Mayo. This is a revised version, but is in no way an accurate representation, and should be thought of as a placeholder........ a bit of fun.

  6. For WOV only: I've enabled the stock carriers to have respective carrier #/name on the structure/island. have not figured out the bow yet if its even possible. This is a start though. See picture for clarification.

Carrier list: Note GroundObjectdata.ini is provided and numbered already.

I've placed the files into proper folders:

Unzip and drag and drop into main folder. Keep in mind that this is structure so the Groundobjectdata.ini resides within Groundobject folder which makes for cleaner file structure.

Modified all WOV campaigns to allow use of this mod.

I highly advise for educational purposes to look over this mod before installing so you can get an understanding of what I did. Do not rename files unless you fully understand file structure in this game!

You can use this mod in SF however you will need to follow this tutorial link:

  13. R08 HMS Bulwark of the Centaur Class - Beta Release

The model represents the ship as she appeared in the late 50's, before her conversion into a commando carrier. The Albion model has been used, with a later flightdeck texture. Not perfect, but seems worth releasing. Working AA and radar to be developed.

    Model/texture: Hinchinbrooke
    Loads of help: Gramps

"This class was an improvement over the war-built light fleet carriers of the "Colossus" and "Majestic" classes with double the power for an additional 5 knots of speed, accompanied by increased dimensions which resulted in more hangar space and a lightly armoured flight deck.

Construction was arrested by the termination of hostilities and four units (including the original Hermes) were cancelled. Three of the remaining units - Albion, Bulwark, and Centaur - were completed to a modified design, which considerably increased their original displacement of 18,300 tons and resulted in a 2-knot loss of speed, and included a 5 3/4-degree angled deck; while the final unit - the second Hermes - had further extensive modifications worked in placing her in a sub-class of her own.

The Albion and Bulwark were later converted to commando carriers during 1959-62, leaving only the Centaur able to operate fixed wing aircraft, and she had steam catapults installed in 1957. Owing to her relatively small size and limited hangar space, the Centaur does not now meet modern requirements, but is nevertheless, still capable of active employment although laid-up in reserve."

    H. T. Lenton, Warships of the British and Commonwealth Navies, Ian Allan, 1971

All files should sit in an "Albion" sub-directory within the "Objects" directory. The data.ini file should be moved to the main "Objects" directory. Extract the groundobjectsdata.ini file and add lines for Albion.

  14. R07 HMS Albion of the Centaur Class - Beta Release
