Installation:
Strike Fighters 2 Vietnam is REQUIRED for this mod. Strike Fighters 2 North Atlantic is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Unzip into your mod folder. If you install into a TSF Folder, or folder where TSF is installed, you can also install updated campaigns that adds the
carrier to Operation Isbjörn & The Catalina Affair if you choose. This is however not mandatory, but recommended.

A class of 17 French Navy ships entering service during the 70s and early 80s,
Type A-69 D'Estienne D'Orves Corvettes were designed for coastal anti-submarine warfare
as well as scouting, training and other secondary duties.
250' in length and displacing 1,100 tons, these are not large ships but are nevertheless
seaworthy - and economical-vessels. ...but are also available for high sea escort missions
(notably in support missions with the FOST). Built on a simple and robust design, they have an
economical and reliable propulsion system which allows them to be used for overseas presence missions.
The A69 design was based on the Portuguese Navy's Jo?o Coutinho-class corvettes.
Armament and combat systems vary, and there were even plans - subsequently canceled -
to outfit two of them with helicopter landing facilities.

Burak-class corvette (Turkish: Burak sinifi korvet), aka B-class corvette, is a warship class
of the Turkish Navy, all ex-D'Estienne d'Orves class A69 type Aviso corvettes, mainly designed

Their robust design and economical propulsion system allows them to be used for distant overseas operations.

he Argentine Navy also operates three D'Estienne D'Orves-class ships, locally known as the Drummond class.
The first two ships were originally ordered by the South African Navy, but due to UN sanctions against South Africa,

The third ship of the class was ordered by Argentina and was delivered in 1981.

Absalon Class Support Ship

This file represents the Absalom Class support Ship of the Royal Danish Navy, an innovative design that allows a multipurpose command and support ship with the firepower of a frigate.
The Absalon class are support ships of the Royal Danish Navy, commissioned in 2005. The two ships in the class may be described as an hybrid between a Frigate and military transport ship with multi role capabilities, with the capacity for being transformed from a combat ship with the firepower of a traditional frigate to a hospital ship within a day
The class is based on a frigate-like design, but built with an internal multipurpose deck (flex deck) and a stern vehicle ramp. The ships can serve as command platforms for a staff of 75 persons (naval or joint staff) with a containerized command and control centre, transport and base of operations for a company-sized landing force of some 200 men with vehicles. Alternatively, the flex deck can be used for mine-laying operations with a capacity of some 300 mines, or be fitted out for mine-clearing operations and launch and recover mine detecting and clearing equipment via a retractable gantry crane, adjacent to the stern vehicle ramp, which also is used for launching and recovering the fast landing craft. Furthermore the flex deck can support a containerized hospital or simply transport a number of ISO standard containers or some 55 vehicles including, up to 7 MBTs. The ships can carry two LCPs (Storebro SB90E), two rigid hull inflatable boats and two EH101 helicopters.
The standard weapons of the Absalon class can be supplemented through the use of StanFlex mission modules. A special weapons deck (nicknamed the 'Bathtub') is designed with five StanFlex module slots.[7] Because of the Bathtub's position, only missile-firing weapons modules can be installed
Both ship have seen action in counter-piracy operations in the Horn of Africa, as part of the international effort to fight the piracy in the region, one of the most active maritime routes of the world.

Abukuma class destroyer escort
This model represents the Abukuma class destroyer escorts (DE-229~DE-234), in service with the JMSDF from 1989 to present. They are designed as cost-effective general-purpose escorts with an emphasis on anti-sub and anti-surface warfare. "Destroyer escort" is the JMSDF's equivalent term for "frigate."
The Abukuma class features a 76mm gun, Phalanx CIWS, two 4-canister SSM launchers, ASROC launcher, and ASW torpedoes. Installation of a RAM launcher is also planned for the near future.
A full names list and authentic decals are included. This ship is best used in conjunction with my Kongo, Takanami, Murasame, Asagiri, Hatsuyuki, and other upcoming Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force capital ships.

It was built by the Black Sea Shipyard, the sole manufacturer of
Soviet aircraft carriers,
in Nikolayev within the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (SSR).
The initial name of the ship was Riga; it was launched as Leonid Brezhnev,
embarked on sea trials as Tbilisi, and finally named
Admiral Flota Sovetskogo Soyuza Kuznetsov after Admiral of the fleet
of the Soviet Union Nikolay Gerasimovich Kuznetsov
It was originally commissioned in the Soviet Navy,

Admiral Kuznetsov Class Carrier - Aircraft Carriers - CombatACE
The data file of this carrier Mod has a lot of problems, causing game to crash to Windows Desktop when the aircraft carrier is hit by a weapon. This data file fixed the problem.
This Data file also fixed the Kashtan CIWS system in game. Allowing the AK630 barrels on Kashtan to actually fire at the target instead of shooting at the sky.
Installation:
1. Unzip the file to the installation folder of the Kuznetsov Carrier Mod.
2. overwrite the existing file.

This mod is made for SF2.

I. History
Since the 50th the Soviet Navy tried to get aircraft carriers. But the political leadership denied all attempts to build such vessels. So the Admirality tried to get carriers through the back door. They declared such ships would be neccessary to hunt down american submarines. So the big ASW ships Moskva and Leningrad were built. But the design was terrible. Thatswhy the project 1143 was developed, better known as Kiev class.
The Kiev class was to small to operate conventional fix wing jets. So the ships were equipped with VTOL planes, the Yak-38. But this plane was no match for american or west european carrierbased planes. Thatswhy the flightdeck of project 1143.4 was made longer. The ship was named Baku. It was built for the supersonic Yak-41. A plan-B was to use the MiG-29K in the air group of the Baku.
The next step was to make the project 1143 ships bigger and longer. 1143.5 was launched in 1982. First named as Riga, then Breshnev, then Tblissi and in 1990 renamed into Kuznetsov.
When the USSR broke into parts the Kuznetsov was transfered to the russian North Fleet.
The sister ship 1143.6, Riga was renamed in 1990 into Varjag (Viking). It was not operational when it was was given to the Ukraine. The Ukraine had not had enough money to finish the ship. Thatswhy it was sold to China. China finished the ship, modified it and named it Liaonang.

Known Problems:
The mod is not perfect. Eight gun turrets are not of the correct type. The gun barrels looking always in the wrong direction. The SA-9N missiles does not start from the silos, but from mid of the ship. The Ship to Ship missiles also start from mid of the ship.

USS Albany CG 10 started life as USS Albany (CA-123) an WWII Oregon City class Heavy Cruiser she was a little late to make the "hot"WAR But she soldiered on through the coldwar in 1958 she was placed out on commission she spent the next 4 years getting a complete rebuild when she came out she no longer was a gun cruiser she had now sacrificed her guns to be a complete Guided missile cruiser sporting the Talos & tartar missile systems

ARA General Belgrano was an Argentine Navy light cruiser in service from 1951 until 1982.
Originally commissioned by the U.S. as USS Phoenix, she saw action in the Pacific theatre
of World War II before being sold by the United States Navy to Argentina.
Transferred to Argentine Navy as Diecisiete de Octubre, 9 April 1951, renamed ARA General Belgrano 1956.
The vessel was the second to have been named after the Argentine founding father Manuel Belgrano (1770–1820).
She was sunk on 2 May 1982 during the Falklands War by the Royal Navy submarine Conqueror with the loss of 323 lives.
Losses from General Belgrano totalled just over half of Argentine military deaths in the war.
She is the only ship to have been sunk during military operations by a nuclear-powered submarine.
Sister shipi Nueve de Julio (ex USS Boise) served in Argentine Navy from 1951 to 1978

ARA Independencia

HMS Warrior was a Colossus-class light aircraft carrier which was ordered in 1942 by the British Royal Navy during World War II.
Construction was finished in 1945 and upon completion, the aircraft carrier was loaned to the Royal Canadian Navy from 1946 to 1948 as HMCS Warrior.
Warrior was returned to the Royal Navy in 1948 and entered service with the British. While in service with the Royal Navy, Warrior was modernised twice,
including the installation of an angled flight deck in 1956. In 1948–1949, the ship was used in aircraft landing experiments and fitted with a rubber flight deck and in 1957,
was used as the headquarters ship during nuclear testing at Christmas Island.
In 1958, the vessel was sold to the Argentine Navy and entered Argentine service in 1959 as ARA Independencia.
The aircraft carrier remained in service until 1970 when Independencia was placed in reserve. The following year, the ship was sold for scrap.

Asagiri class destroyer
This model represents the Asagiri class destroyers (DD-151~DD-158), in service with the JMSDF from 1989 to present. An enlarged and upgraded version of the earlier Hatsuyuki class, they are among Japan's most numerous and modern general-purpose escorts.
The Asagiri class features well-rounded armament including a 76mm gun, two Phalanx CIWS, an 8-cell Sea Sparrow launcher, two 4-canister SSM launchers, ASROC launcher, and ASW torpedoes. Sensor systems include the world's first naval AESA radar, OPS-24, designed and built in Japan.
A full names list and authentic decals are included. The model features a helicopter deck and a few other surprises. This ship is best used in conjunction with my Kongo class, Murasame class, and other upcoming JMSDF capital ships.

This models represents the Audace Class Destroyer of the Marina MIlitare Italiana after their modernization in 1988 - 1989. During this modernization one 127 mm turret was deleted and replaced by a Albatros Missile Launcher. Added Otomat SSM missiles and modern electronics. Also the Tartar missile was replaced by the RIM-66 missile launched from the MK-13 launcher

This mod is written as an add-on to the Carrier Deck Illumination Beta 1.0 package.
It does not conatin a working model of the Kiev, which is only available if you have a copy of SF2NA.
It also requires the aforementioned carrier deck illumination package, which can be downloaded at: http://combatace.com/topic/81708-carrier-deck-illumination/
To install: Simply drag the contents of the zip file, which is the "groundobject" folder, into the mod (saved games) folder of the desired title. For example, using SF2NA, the default path would be "YOUR NAME/Saved Games/Thirdwire/StrikeFighters2NorthAtlantic"
Note that this is a Beta, a work in progress, and as such, it is not perfect; We have taken a bit of a guess as to the decklight positioning on the Kiev, and it is probably not accurate. Also, the deck illumination will be on at all times. This is currently due to the limitations of the game engine, and our work-around to the illumination issue.
