-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --

= For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

As this skin/decal set is for the ANZAC Strike Wing Beaufighters, is it to be used on the recently released Beaufighter TFX (Early) by Cocas, avaliable at the following url:

http://combatace.com/files/file/15981-sf2-ww2-eto-bristol-beaufighter-tfx-v9-by-cocas/

This pack contains the following aircraft & skin/decal sets:

Beaufighter TF Mk.X (Early)

No.455 Squadron (RAAF) (code - UB)
No.489 Squadron (NZ) (code - P6)

of the ANZAC Strike Wing. Both aircraft carry full D-Day markings. The SF2 "date swtich" is =NOT= used on either skin.
The Squadron Crest is used as the paint chip seen on the Loadout Screen. Skins are in jpg format. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is set to TRUE.
Serials for 489 should be considered 'generic' in nature, and use the serials from the "Coates" deacl folder from the original aircraft release.
Serials for 455 are 100% Historically Accurate and are matched to the "plane in squadron" letter.

On the loadout screen, you'll see...

No. 455 Sqdn RAAF (D-Day Stripes)
No. 489 Sqdn NZ (D-Day Stripes)

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please =READ= them BEFORE installing this mod!!!. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

1 SAAF Squadron - Hurricane MKIA
3 SAAF Squadron - Hurricane MkIA (Trop)

These skins are for Raven's excellent Hurricane MkI and MkIa (Trop). Most of the hard work on these skins is down to him - I've just played around with the panel lines and added some extra decals.

SAAF squadrons in East Africa used a number of different aircraft over the campaign so I've decided to set these around January 1941 when:
- 3 SAAF Squadron was Hurricanes only and
- 1 SAAF Squadron was a mix of the original MkIs supplied early in the war, loaned MkIa(Trops) from 3 SAAF and Gladiators.

Anyone who would like the layered files to play with should drop me a line and I'll convert them to your format of choice - anything to encourage more people to get into skinning.

Regards

Lloyd

SF2 WW2 ETO, "D-Day" Spitfire IX Blank Skin set 1/12/2015

-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --

= For SF2, Full-5 Merged (w/whichever Expansion Pak gave us the Spitfire IXc) =

Using my Home Grown Templates for the stock 3rd Wire Spirfire 9c, this skin set adds the D-Day Invasion stripes set.
This is a "blank" skin, with no marking other than the Invasion Stripes, and can be used with any of the available decal sets for the stock Mk.IXc AND Mk.IXe. A simple rename of the textures will allow it's usage on either one. See "Notes" for more details.

The stripes represented here are the 'full' set, top/bottom of wings and fully wrapping around the fuselage, as used from June 6, 1944 to approx September 44 (ish). The Sky ID band has been omitted, although photographic evidence exists of it having been used, even with the Invasion stripes. Yellow wing IFF bands remain.

REMINDER-- this is not a 'full' ready-to-use skin pak. The folder is just named "DDAY" for convience. You'll have to create specifically named skin folders (ie: 411-DDay, for example) for proper, historical usage.

There is no decals or texture set inis included -- however, a "base" texture set showing the in-game labeling is included, but NOT usable per se. It's just there to show how to set the Displayed Name labeling.
As the mapping for both the 9c and 9e is identical, as are their respective decal positions, any of the existing Spifire 9 decal sets can be reused with this skin.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please =READ= them !!!.

SF2 WW2 MTO Spitfire Mk.IX, Polish Fighting Team Skinpak 1/8/2015

-- Something for the Med players --

= For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*This mod will NOT work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, at any patch level. One should also have the SF2I expansion pak, that gave us the Spitfires, as this mod REQUIRES the 3W Spitfire Mk.IX,

This package contains a new skin for MTO (specificly Tunisian) based RAF Spitfire Mk.IXs. It represents

"C" Flight, No. 145 Squadron, aka "Polish Fighting Team"

All marking are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE for the 16 plane-in-squadron and serial number decals. Serial numbers marked with a star (*) are 100% historically matched to their plane-in-squadron number. Those marked with a cross (+, ok the plus sign!), while having served with the PFT, could not be matched to a specific aircraft. Those without any markings, are 'generic'. It should be noted, that the PFT used numbers, instead of letter for their individual IDs.
Please note, this is just the skin/decal set. I've not included any of the bits needed to make the aircraft Player Flyable . There's plenty of other mods that do this.

When in game, on the Loadout Screen, you'll see

Polish Fighting Team (145 Sqdn)

in the upper right skin selection drop down.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.

					SF2 WW2 FAA Seafire Mk.IIIC, 807 NAS, BEIF 10/5/2014

-- Something for the WW2 Fleet Air Arm players --

= For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: this is designed for use in a PTO mods folder built from the SF2NA exe, as it has the proper carrier coding. Also, be advised a correct and proper CBI map with the carrier coding is still in the works.*

The package contains a =NEW= skin for Cocas' Seafire Mk.IIIC as issued to Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm squadrons in British East Indies Fleet. If you don't have the aircraft, you can get it at the following URL:

http://combatace.com/files/file/15028-sf2-ww2-faa-seafire-mkiiic-pak-by-cocas-aircraft-factory-co/

Skin included in this package is:

Royal Navy:
No. 807 NAS, BEIF, embarked on HMS HUNTER in 1945

The aircraft carries 'standard' SEAC markings for the period. Code and "plane in group" letters (18) are correct for East Indies Fleet use, but I have not found any references if they carried the "D5" code with HUNTER in the Med. Most likely, they did. In that case, a different skin for MTO usage would be needed, and the national markings decals would need replacing. I have included the PSD I used to make the fuselage codes for any other skinners to use for that purpose, or for other FAA aircraft.
All markings are decals and Decal Randomization is TRUE.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them.

					SF2 WW2 Hawker Hurricane Mk.I No.1 Squadron, BoF, Skin Pak 5/14/2014

-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --

= For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*There is a distinct possibility that this mod will work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. However, due to some of the modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment (read: decal randomization), all the features will =NOT= be working as designed.*

A new skin for Raven's Hurrican Mk.1 (2-bladded Watts prop, fabric wings), representing No. 1 Squadron in early to mid-1940, but more for the Battle of France timeframe.

This skin is painted in the "half-and-half' Night/White wing undersides, with French style "rudder flash" RAF color bands, and "silver dope" remaining undersides. The skin maps remain in bmp format.
Also included is a modified textureset.ini for the original No.111 squadron skin, that adds the DefaultStartDate= tag (07/1940), adds decal randomization. The decals ini provided for 111 adds the Level 1 fake "SqTail" pointer to activate the Squadron name display. This is used on BOTH skins.

The new serial number decals ARE historically those for early Mk.1 Hurris, but should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they represent NO particular aircraft within a specific squadron.

This package ONLY contains the skins/decals (and the 111 Squadron inis). I've not included any of my usual "tweeks" to SF2-ize the aircraft. It's pretty perfect as is! (the only thing I changed was turning the Fuselage OFF in the data ini to eliminate the 'double cockpit' issue).

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please =READ= them BEFORE installing this mod!!!. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.

With Thanks To Raven for the bird!

					SF2 WW2 & Post-War Spitfire XIV Skin/Ini Pak 3/31/2014

-- Something for the WW2 ETO (and post war) players --

= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

*** DLC #29 REQUIRED for this Mod!!!! ***

A reskinning of the stock 3W DLC 29 Spit XIV (14), adds a WW2 skin, and 2 early
post-war RAF skins.
They are:

No 130 "Punjab" Squadron (as seen in the ETO in late 44-thru wars end)
No 60 Squadron (Malaya, 1946)
No 28 Squadron (as seen at Tengah, 1948)

The Squadron Crest for each is used as the 'paint chip' seen on the loading
screen.
Included are modified data and loadout, userlist & main inis. For you viewing
pleasure, a brand NEW SF2-style Hangar screen. The assumption (oh! that word!!)
is being made that you've already made the aircraft player flyable, so no
cockpit bits are included. However, my "One Click Restore Main Ini" (patent
pending) is.
No weapons (bombs and guns) are included, as all stock items are being used,
but a drip tank is.
The canopy has been activated via the Standard Animation Keystroke ,
Shift/0.
All markings are decals (excepting SEAC bands), and decal randomization is TRUE
(but is acting quite "oddly" for some reason).

*Please Note: if you have PauloPanz's EXCELLENT Spit 14 skin pak, you may want
to backup and compare his data ini to mine. You may also want to create a NEW
One Click Restore ini , after it automaticly adds his skins -- See notes
for changes.*

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are
included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too.
Happy Landings!!

SF2 WW2 ETO Short Stirling Tweeks Pak 3/26/2014

-- Something for the WW2 ETO players --

= For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) =

Some tweeks for Veltro2K's recently released Stirling Mk.I. What this pack does, is activate ALL the included Squadron Code decals by creating skin folders for those squadrons.

If you don't have it already, you can get the aircraft at the following link:

http://combatace.com/files/file/14668-short-stirling-mk1/

(in other words, install the aircraft 1st, THEN this Tweeks Pack)

As the decals and the ini in the above release are set up for the as-yet-to-be-released ETO All Inclusive mod by the DAT, we are missing the necessary files to create the selection drop down to choose which squadron gets what.
This mod creates new skin folders, albeit with the original skin maps (more on that later), and activates the squadron code decals for the following RAF Bomber Command units:

No. 7 Squadron
No. 15 Squadron
No. 75 "New Zealand" Squadron (original NCamo skin)
No. 90 Squadron
No. 149 "East India" Squadron
No. 214 "Federated Malay States" Squadron
No. 218 "Gold Coast" Squadron

The Squadron crest for each is used for the 'color patch' as seen on the Loadout Screen.
My (patent pending) "Box Art" Hangar and Loading screens are included, as are new DDS damage textures.

You will be moving (read: copy/paste) the original skin maps to the MAIN aircraft folder (ala Brain 32's trick). As all BC aircraft of the time were painted the same, this creates no issues.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them after unzipping, but BEFORE installing, and FOLLOW them exactly as I've written them!!!

Caveat:

BE ADVISED, THIS MOD IS =NOT= TO BE USED WHEN THE DAT RELEASES THEIR ETO PAK. IT IS DESIGNED FOR USE ONLY BY THOSE END USERS THAT CANNOT ACCESS THEIR DOWNLOADS. IT IS DESIGNED FOR USE IN A STANDARD OR "GARDEN VARIETY" WW2 ETO MODS FOLDER, =NOT= FOR THEIR ALL-INCLUSIVE MOD.

Happy Landings!!
