yakarov79 Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 I think all of you might have fallen victim to my mess in files. Initialy when I started working on these mods years ago, it was at the time when Eagle114th started to work on his community enhancements. So in my zippers, I used something similar to his afterburner mod. And yes, it is still working on my end, but I heard, and I can see that some might have a problem with the afterburners on my zippers. nevertheless...full AB should look like this.. And there should also be some kind of ab ring when on mil power. Those who are familiar with Eagle114th work will know what i mean. So in the next release, I will try to fix that and provide some extra data for previous releases. meanwhile you can play with this... B28RE.rar As for German Starfighters. Again, there will be several variants. But due to game limits, I will make it in a particular way. So early models with J79-11 engine will have C-2 seat. And then I will have one upgrade for the year 1970 (unlike in real life) - Martin-Baker seat and an MTU engine at the same time. Still thinking how to proceed with the Luftwaffe RF-104, but I guess it will end up with two variants like JaBo and AWX. By the way, I found time to finish MTU-J1K. 5 3
Wrench Posted March 10 Posted March 10 They really look great!!!! At some point, will we be getting the RWR equipped cockpits?? NO rush, just curious. thanks! 1
yakarov79 Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 Yes. There will be several pit variants. The thing is, I am building a cockpit, but this time very slowly. I have very limited time for modding. I hope it will be ready by the end of the year... but no promises. 2 6
yakarov79 Posted March 12 Author Posted March 12 Why does no one (but one) notice that there is no Orpheus pod attached in KLU/AMI weapon folders? Orpheus.rar goes to the weapons folder.... 2 3
alfa2 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Your implementation of the MTU-J1K is worth much more than a like or a thank you . It is actually the first such modeling in any F-104G model in any sim. When we can replicate reality related details in the virtual world the author should always be praised. Congratulations Yakarov79 ! 2 1

Orpheus.rar goes to the weapons folder.... I have Orpheus Pods already in my weapons folder from previous RF-104 installs, and those were being loaded as the attachment type is the same. (AttachmentType=W_GERMANY,USAF,NATO,ITALY) Of course, a new one is always appreciated.

The new F-104 mods by yakarov79 have the Orpheus pod built into the aircraft model and this way the camera lids on the pod are animated - these open and close together with the landing gear retracting and extending respectively. So the "new" Orpheus pod is specific to the yakarov79 F-104s. The model is naturally much more detailed and with high-res skin. I love it... 2 1

Beautiful work indeed. 4

So the burner story goes on....thanks to Svetlin and Ravenclaw tests, here it is... all credit for Effect is going to Eagle114th. If you have his mod, you do not have to copy effect files. Although. In the files provided here, there are 2 small changes. First, I have edited the TGA files to make them even more transparent, so they look a little lighter/softer in-game. Another change is that in file: INI_ENGINE_J79_Engine_Node, I have changed: EmissionType=HOLD_PARTICLE into EmissionType=ORIENTED_EMITTER - this way, the inner tga "mil power" glowing in the engine is quite softer in look and has some small "flickering animated" effect. For now, it is in form of copy - paste - overwrite. Soon it should be uploaded to the main download with other updated files for Starfighters. Additionally, AMI early CI and CB have edited LOD and data to remove top red beacon light. Burner Fix032026.rar 1 3
yakarov79 Posted yesterday at 09:00 AM Author Posted yesterday at 09:00 AM (edited) Luftwaffe Starfighters should be uploaded very soon. There are several changes in the data.ini compared to my previous releases. First, I changed something in CG and the landing gear parameters. Now it leans forward much better when fully loaded. Now it uses a common engine effect (one from the update above) - but again it is edited a little to make it less "bulky" so it is more transparent, and generally I like this one more. You might want to make a backup of your old effect files. Thanks to all for all the feedback on previous releases. And if you approve these data mods, at some point, I will edit and add in future updates to all earlier uploaded Starfighters. Thanks, Svetlin and Nighsade/PR, for some testing. IN this pack, you will find German Doppellastträger - DLT - or as it is called here - TSC. I edited the start default date for 1975. As this is the information that I currently have, this was the year of introduction. So, for other countries (the Netherlands and Norway) that use them in loadout.ini - start default date might cause some problems, which is easily editable in Notepad, so do not panic. I added one more M-B seat available for the late years. As due to my observations, early M-B seats were the same as on Italian and Danish Starfighters. Some changes in the headrest part appear already in the late 70s - 80s. And one more pilot, this time with the Gueneau 316 helmet. In 1976, it was decided that some starfighters (50) would be equipped with the LEADS 200 flight data recorder. I represented this via a decal on the rear part of the fuselage(tail) rather than painting it on the skin. This way, it is present only on specific airframes. Last two skin sets for JaBo '79 - JBG34 years - 1984-1985. Those skin sets are literaly the same - decals, numbers. The difference is in the camouflage pattern. In reality, Norm83 was not painted on every airframe at the same time, and was done during a major overhaul (IRAN). So not the whole wing was painted at the same time, and Starfighters within JBG34 during 80s were in two variants of camouflage. In fact, another Technical Order states that all airframes from JBG34 that will not receive a new camouflage pattern should receive a modified camouflage pattern “Norm 1962 Ü/83” -this adds colors on the underside to the existing paint with the already existing RAL6014. But I only found 1 airframe (23+30) painted this way up to date...so this might be the only one. One more thing. This was one of the first mods built. So at the very beginning, we had quite a different approach. So you will notice that in all early markings, decals are calling for number codes from a generic pool of decals. And for later years, when numbers were easier to track, it was the way as usual - numbers that were assigned to a wing/squadron for particular years. The thing about updates. I certainly will update previous Starfighter mods. As I found some issues, mistakes, etc. that need to be addressed. For example, I already changed the CB variant of the Italian Starfighter. Now it is in 3 mods. early like before, new one - interim for the whole 70s with M-B seat but without ECM. and late for the end of 70s until the end of service with ecm added. with corrected years for the introduction of EL.70/73 systems. Main reason - while making cockpit - it will be more accurately represented for specific years. Engine effects if satisfactory, will be fixed for previous uploads too. If you have some suggestions, let me know here. Edited yesterday at 09:39 AM by yakarov79 6 4
