Yeah. mine Afghanistan terrain was made for WoE (first generation SF). IIRC Wrench converted it to SF2.

In the search section looking for Afghanistan in files and you find all what you need.

Agree with Wrench and Gepard, I've playing a lot of them, both Afghanistan 79-89 and later  (W.O.T/Taliban) Terrain. also GKabs Provided many of the much needed ground object such as Manpads crew or technicals.
Both terrains also "light" to load, but have many "element of surprise".

I did a complete Soviet Afghan mod. I guess know one cares.

No. Those who remember still care...

Maybe we can pimp it a little one day? We have some new assets.

One way or another, the Soviet-Afghan war is much better suited for this game. Even if it is a more ground-pounding way. The next invasions of Afghanistan in-game would be way too one-sided.

During my 11 months they routinely (sometimes) hid during when fast air was on station, and attack helicopters. Don't mistake high technology being "one-sided" against a foe who earned a lot of respect, and frankly of course knew the country better than we did. So yeah you're right, but in the game the enemy infantry doesn't run away, so that's a major difference compared to what happened there. I don't know everybody who served in Afghanistan, but just because you got the latest tech doesn't mean you'll win, and we I saw that when simple terrain defeats modern targeting pods and the like.

I meant in-game. Ground war in most of the sims is suffering. I liked it in IL-2 series and in Apache-Havoc... in the rest is just barely okay.

Ahh yeah, I got you. Yeah it is one-sided though, and gets kinda boring too.
