F-22, throughout my early childhood, represented the pinnacle of human aviation industry, at the time, it was the world's only fifth-generation fighter jet.

Even with more advanced options available now (such as F-35,J-20 they have more advanced situational awareness), that filter still applies to me.

In Strike Fighter 2? Probably the Crusader... Generally? So many great choices... either the F-14 or the F-18. I love the F-14's shape and cool variable geometry wings, and to be honest it looks so awesome in Top Gun and Final Countdown that it has biased my judgement forever. But I also love the more compact look of the F-18, how versatile it is, and visually it really looks like the prototypical fighter to me.

I'd say the best plane is the F-22 Raptor, but my favourite has to be the F-18 or Tornado!

Mine has always been the AV-8. I've always found the VTOL to be very interesting, and it never gets old looking at them floating around.
