Guest Bounder Posted February 17, 2008 (edited) Hey!. Lets just wait and see, their religion is not an issue. Its who they side with. Remember Cuba was going to join us,but the press made fun of his"chicken Republic",and out of anger he sided with the Soviets. So lets applaud their independence ,send them books on democracy, and government. AND HOPE. Remember were are new at this to less then 300 years, other's have been at it longer, and still haven't gotten it right. So let all hope for the ,best pray we dont have to spend to much money over there.and all go fly our games. (ok dismantling the soap box now,and shouting NEXT) Edited February 17, 2008 by Bounder
Longestpants 1 Posted February 18, 2008 7887:Ambition.jpg I agree with Bounder. Send them moral support, and a very strong democratic influence. However, we must not forget that independence is a very sensitive issue for both sides, I wander how Serbia's going to react? The last thing we need is to kick off yet another century with a war in the Balkans.

JediMaster 451 Posted February 19, 2008 One thing I will never understand, and this goes for instances like the US Civil War too, is if they want to leave, why would you want them to stay? Sure, you know why the politicians want it. Yet why would the average citizen care if some far-flung part of their country decides it would rather be another one? That's like chaining your wife to the house so she won't leave you...

Luftwaffe10 0 Posted February 21, 2008 A new Muslim state as small as that one could easily come under the influence of Putin's regime. We're lucky that the major NATO powers recognized them first.
kesegy 5 Posted February 21, 2008 A new Muslim state as small as that one could easily come under the influence of Putin's regime. We're lucky that the major NATO powers recognized them first. they'll never side with putin, rest assured. russia is a strong ally to serbia, the country they just separated from. i don't think that there is a single place in europe where you can find more US flags then in Kosovo, including the US bases in europe.
