I don't know, I've been reading and hearing plenty of stories about C-5 mission availability dropping due to engine issues. It's like 90% of the time a C-5 flight is scrubbed, it's one of the engines' fault, and their rate is the highest in AMC. I know the rare times we had one scheduled to fly down to ANT or ASC it never seems to make the round trip US-ANT-ASC-ANT-US without a delay in at least one location for an engine fix. The DC-8s are slightly better, they break down every other month or so, and the C-17s seem to NEVER break down (as rare as they are here). I heard the old 141s weren't much better than the DC-8s.

A CH-54 Skycrane flew overhead this morning. Had the fire fighting package installed. Yesterday one of the Snakes from Edwards AFB was heading back to home. I love where I work, just outside the approach for KBFL. You never know what will be over head.

Sentry AEW.1 flying under the cloudbase over my house today. Thunderstorms today too, a lot of CB's. Looks like he was heading back to his homebase at Waddington.

I see these AWACS regularly flying over. Not too long ago I was treated to the sight of a Sentry, Sentinel and Nimrod in formation. Again, presumably on their way to Waddington.

I saw a Cessna Citation Jet fly over my sation today, about 300knots. The guys asked me how do you know what that was. I said it used to be my job to know that was.

I "saw" someone try to tell me that the F-35 AND SR-71 were the Raptor, that it could go mach 5, and that if you sent 1 (literally 1 F-35) over to iraq right now, we would win the war in 1 day

Dont get me wrong all three are good planes but really now, at least try to sound believable

Please, n00b

I saw a T-28 make strafing runs on our cabin at a lake in the middle of nowhere, and on his second pass he was so low that I saw his face through the canopy. Then I saw 4 T-6s in fluid-4 formation over the lake. Musta been on their way back from the Abbotsford Airshow, which I missed again because I had to tear up carpet. Blech.

Saw quite a bit, in the last couple of weeks. My 1st day back at work after a vacation in Canada.

Saw the Snowbirds the day I arrived at Victoria Island, along with 40,000 other people in front of my motel. The prime Minister was there as well for the

150th anniversary of British Columbia. Quite the do.

Saw a bunch of Otters over Vancouver the next day, then beat feet back to Spokane to see the jet I've waited 20 years to see since my 1st glimpse on PC.

Yessirs, I finally saw the F-22 Raptor with nothing but air between it and my lustful eyes. A thing of beauty that is just indescribable! It did things that seemed

to defy the laws of physics. Busted a virtual nut, I did. There were some other aircraft at that show, but nothing else came close...

Well today I went to the pool, and i saw an Apache\Black Hawk, was hard to recognise because it was far away from me...

Then there was 2 F-16's... And last week I saw 2 Apaches escorting a Black Hawk, and from what i've been told the Hawk was carrying our Minister of Defense... Makes sense because there was a big armored forces drill in the same day i think...

I seen one of these today and drooled.

I saw that yesterday as well. At first I thought it was a mustang, but after a second glance, I realized I was horribly wrong. Been waiting to see these things rolling out on to the streets.

I heard that Chevy actually went back to the drawing board for a few design changes, thus pushing back the release of the new Camaro to 2010. I understand why so many confuse the Dodge Charger/Challenger with the Mustang, and now even the Camaro. Funny thing is that even back in the day they all looked a lot alike. Mustang is actually de-tuning their '09 models...mainly to meet DOT regs, I've read that they will have the 4.7L in them and only give the bigger engines to the GT's. I'm not a big Ford fan as I own an '06 Charger R/T, but I will have to say that it's a big competition and we'll have to see if Chevy can make a comeback with the Camaro.

@ Fates, I saw one of those the other day too, same color. I had to do a double-take to make sure it wasnt a 70's model baracuda. Those arte NICE. Reminds me of the one in a neighbors back yard that had a blown engine, he wouldnt sell it for ANY amount, and I even had a 392 hemi I was all ready to drop in it.

The colors is based on the fact that Dodge painted the Hemi Engine blocks Orange. They also produced the vehicles in Hemi-Orange, Sublime Green, Plumcrazy Purple, Go-Mango (Orange-red), Top Banana Yellow, and Inferno Red.
