And what about the Partiot missile system, and a freeware E-3A AWACS

Planes to be released with the DS Mod that are not available anywhere else.

B-52G

AV-8B (Day Attack)

E-3A

E-8C

EF-111A

KC-10A

Plus FastCargo fixed the models (I give him the max file that wpnssgt had been working on from Paco back in 2004) on the F-111E/F so those will be with new skins and newer models.

Sounds good can we use the F-111E/F model for the earlier A and further?!

All the versions have been redone, A/C/G, FB-111A, but they are in the skin shop, needs decals and are low on the list as we need the E/F for the DS mod first. But lets keep this topic on the DS mod please.

Fraking good!

Won't surely be able to run it, but fraking good!

Turn your settings down and you will.

What's the general resolution on those textures? (planes, vehicles, weapons, terrain_

It varies from 256x256 to 1024x1024.

Allied aircraft are all 1024x1024

Iraqi aircraft are all 512x512

Ground objects are all 256x256

Terrain tiles are 512x512

********************************

A seperate, optional download will have high rez skins for the aircraft you choose to install them for.

Turning your graphics Object Texture and Terrain Texture options down, causes them to be rendered smaller than what's listed above.

Ah, good, I can run this with no problems then. I was worried that the skins were going to be 2048x2048 or higher

Viggen,

Even if they were, it's not an issue. See the entry below? It's from the FLIGHTENGINE.INI. If you set OBJECT TEXTURE = HIGH, it's like making every skin 512x512.

You could change MaxTextureRes=1024 if you wanted to make everything no larger than 1024x1024.

[HighDetailOption]

HorizonDistance=60000.0

DetailMeshSize=5

DetailLevel=1

WaterEffect=2

NoiseTexture=1

MaxTextureRes=512

Ah, cool. I've been somewhat, well, scared, to play with that INI. Not sure what could happen. I am definatly going to be playing with that now, thanks.

Now, I'll end this hijack, and say that, I can't wait for this mod. It will likely, no, it will, be bigger than when the Raptor came out.

Based on the screenshot, is there´s mid air refueling?

Not really. Simulated, yes, but not actual refueling.

Last time you said even your very good comp (can't remember the specs) had troubles running the mod smoothly -but it's also possible I misunderstood you-, so I'm quite affraid with my two years old dying laptop. Perhaps were you talking about running it with settings at full?

Whatever, tunning down settings is of course a solution, and I won't cry if I have to set the horizon closer or minimize water...

The second download with high-rez skin is by the way a very good idea! :ok:
