+Dave Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 http://us.cnn.com/20...dex.html?hpt=T2 3 dead, maybe this will have some kind of good ending if they find the 4th crewman alive. Quote

Slartibartfast Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Not a good week for the USN... hope they get the 4th person alive... Quote
serverandenforcer Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Um... this doesn't sound good at all. The aircraft they were in was an executive aircraft, something similar to a Cessna Mustang business jet. I don't think they can eject from those. I don't want to put a hex on the whole thing, but like I said, it doesn't sound good. Quote
+DWCAce Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 The T-39 is used to train NFO's for fleet a/c since they aren't the one's flying. No ejection system is provided (as previously mentioned). Courtesy of USN Quote
+daddyairplanes Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 http://www.navy.mil/search/display.asp?story_id=21965 the fourth sailor has been listed as killed. RIP Quote
+DWCAce Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Wrong incident. Haven't seen anything about the current missing crewmember. Quote
+Typhoid Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 I got a few hours in that a long, long time ago during NFO training. Very sad to loose one and crew. Quote
+DWCAce Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Just wondering, did you guys where parachutes? I would assume no, but I've been wrong before. Quote
