Svetlin Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 The top one says: "Extend landing gear", but I guess the English equivalent would be "Gear down" The middle one says: "Flaps down" The bottom one says: "Air brakes"
mono27 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Wow! That cockpit looks amazing! Looking forward to it :-)
Centurion-1 Posted May 7, 2014 Author Posted May 7, 2014 So any of you russian fellows could help by typing out those label texts? Ingame testing of the mighty Foxbat has begun, even though there is still a lot of stuff to do the reworked model is immediately showing it's claws! 6
Svetlin Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Centurion-1, is that any close to what you are looking for? Do you want me to continue with the rest or it's no good?
Wilches Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Strange the fact that such a big plane has a so small cockpit. Even stranger the solution they found to add a second cockpit... Too much Vodkas for sure!! The model is coming along nicelly!!!!
Centurion-1 Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 Svetlin that is exactly what I want, provided I can get just the text layer as a PNG or PSD? Wilches I think the made the canopy as small as possible because of the heat generated by the air resistance at Mach 2,5+. In the Foxbat more attention was given to Thermodynamics than Aerodynamics
Centurion-1 Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 Also wanted to show the main gear bay, hard to do ingame 2
Svetlin Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Centurion-1, OK, I will continue and will provide a PSD file with the text in separate layers. The shot above had the background included just for reference. Will be as quick as possible.
Svetlin Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Centurion-1, here is what I was able to make. Font size, spacing, etc. parameters are based only on your picture, so I have no clue how close to reality these are. Hope that helps. Panel lights text.7z 1
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Thank you svetlin! Btw, there are some nice new screenies in the screeny and beer section :-P
Centurion-1 Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Yeah thanks Svetlin, tried them out, works great! Will post ingame shots once I have coded the lights!
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 I have no idea what will be need to be done on the ini stuff. My Su-17 will need a massive ini overhaul, fm, avionics, weaponsystems and so on
Centurion-1 Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 Finally got around to mapping the exhaust, now Martins modeling work really comes to it's own. Texture still WIP. 4
Centurion-1 Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 Thanks Carlo! Some ingame testing, in a 1975 environment before the 4th gens arrived you can feel pretty confident on the battlefield flying this bad boy. The ability to accelerate to supersonic and climb away from anything makes up for it's lack of maneuverability, and the ECM makes a BVR joust very much in your favor. 6

Always liked flying the Lightning for the same reason. Who'ld have thought running away could be satisfying? :) Edited May 14, 2014 by arthur666
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Damn!!!! My exhaust looks hot :D Thanks man!!!
+whiteknight06604 Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Damn!!!! My exhaust looks hot :D Thanks man!!! is that a pun? but yes you are correct.

That top image is 100% everything I've wanted from a flyable MiG-25 1
Stick Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I've done some flights over Israel in the old RB version-once up at optimal altitude, even the mighty Baz has a tough time catching the Foxbat! With the right tactics this old steel bird can get you out of dodge pretty darn fast. Great work, by the way. We await with bated breath!
