My money on the terrain debate goes to GIUK, perhaps just the very northern tip of Scotland and the southern tip of Greenland, then out to the Norwegian coast?

Cant really envision a N. Atlantic scenario not in the GIUK gap.

Interesting...check the captions for the pics. All say "AI only" in parentheses EXCEPT...the Backfire C. The B, Badgers, Prowler, etc all say AI only. A faint hope? LOL.

Well the thirdwire Google site shows yet another backfire... a D model if I remember correctly so there sure is going to be a lot of types to intercept. looks promising .

Backfire can go 1800km/h. If we get to intercept missiles, the choice after dealing with them might be "finish off the bombers" vs "land safely".

 

By the number of shots the release might as well come this weekend.

 

So far I see. Hawkeye. could be used in SF2I Lebanon campaign as SAM fodder.

Backfire C with ASM. Fun intercepts. Also, Afghanistan.

Tu-16-10-26. 10 means it has a jammer on board. Unlike Tu-16-26 on other shot, carrying KSR-2.

Backfire B with a missile in its belly.

Yay, even old Tu-22 got it's missile variant.

EveryoneTu-16-10-26 seems to carry KSR-5. TK's better make lofted profile work right.

Backfires come with Kh-22.

Mh, we have alot of cockpits, and stuff we can make those AI only flyable ... I`m the first very happy with the WIP since I saw SF1 pics with the early jets.

 

I realy like it, but cant wait to see the "hidden" terrain, maybe it`S something realy completly new.

Most interesting point is, will the Hawkeye and the Prowler work as they should, or are they just eye candy to be complete. If, they will change gameplay in a total way.

I too hope we get a new AI Only role for ECM / AWACS. It would be so fun :P. I mean, radar linking is already present so I wonder if its too much to hope for.

Yeah seen those Jonathan, if you look closely, you can notice something that seems to be new water shader -Prowler shot, bottom of the image.

 

Clouds are ugh!(ly) though
