Ditto!  Such an awesome high quality pack (something that the F-35 willl never get, we love the A-10, period).  Thanks for sharing!

Sorry everyone, had to upload the file with the correct date name. I pulled the file "A-10Pak5-17-2015_V1.5_Full.7z". The file was ok but the name was wrong. I re-upped it.

I wasn't using bitching betty in the pack, and the screens for the A-10 are only in the A-10 Folders not the Menu folder. But mod it however you want. If you install the Sounds properly, you'll get a better experience.

[sound]
WindSoundName=WINDLOOPA10
EngineSoundName=A10ENGINE
StallSoundName=StallSound
DamagedEngineSoundName=BtyEngineFire
FlapsSoundName=AltFlap
AirbrakesSoundName=HydPump
GearsSoundName=AltGear
EngineSoundPosition=0.0,-5.34,1.0

Maybe the sound is my install, but you do have BB on ... DamagedEngineSoundName=BtyEngineFire

Not a big deal, but I changed some other things...radioloop for wind loop...louder whining A10Engine...etc...

On the screens...

[AircraftData]
AircraftFullName=A-10A '87 Thunderbolt II "Warthog"
AircraftShortName=A-10
AircraftDataFile=A-10A_87_DATA.INI
CockpitDataFile=A-10A_87_COCKPIT.INI
HangarScreen=A-10A_HANGAR.JPG
LoadingScreen=A-10A_LOADING.JPG
LoadoutImage=A-10A_87_LOADOUT.TGA
LoadoutFile=A-10A_87_LOADOUT.INI
AvionicsDataFilename=A-10A_87_AVIONICS.INI
AvionicsDLL=Avionics70.dll
UserList=A-10A_87_USERLIST.INI

In the folder you have those files, but my install defaults to the TW and bypasses the ones in the folder (again, maybe it's my install). If I update the main ini, Ex...A-10A_87.INI

[AircraftData]
AircraftFullName=A-10A '87 Thunderbolt II "Warthog"
AircraftShortName=A-10
AircraftDataFile=A-10A_87_DATA.INI
CockpitDataFile=A-10A_87_COCKPIT.INI

AvionicsDataFilename=A-10A_87_AVIONICS.INI
AvionicsDLL=Avionics70.dll
UserList=A-10A_87_USERLIST.INI

and rename the hangar and loading in the folder, the screens shows up...that's what I did in the fix I linked...

:)

PPS!!!! I love the pack, don't get me wrong...!!! Don't want to offend or anything by changing it...

I am partial to quieter cockpits...I know...I been over this with Do335 and his KAW package with hi pitched F86 jet sounds...LOL...I use a trackir and earphone...and sound recordings of external engine whine piped into the cockpit starts to hurt my ears after awhile...Trust me, I found I am alone in this thinking...but I try as hard as I can to balance the sounds in the cockpit...Even in the F-15 Strike Eagle Super Pack, I lost that argument and we went with a balanced approach...HEH HEH HEH...Somewhere between DCS and TW original with no hi pitched engine whine that was hard on the ears. Spudz did a great job on the sounds in that pack. It was the model I used in my A-10 Alt Sound pack, note I didn't call it a fix, but an Alt pack...

Let me know how you make out...

 Sorry so long to reply to you, I had an accident and spent a long time in the hospital, fortunately now to solve this problem, I cleaned up the SF2 folder and replace the soundlist folder inside, to solve the problem

Hello,

First, thank you for this project, it's great! I am not a modder so I hope someone can help me with a problem. The GAU-8 sound disappeared both from stock and added A-10s after I installed the pack. The GAU8.WAV is in the Sounds folder. I traced the issue to the 30MM_GAU8 subfolder in Guns. When I remove it, the sim seems to revert to the stock GAU-8 sound and effects. I could not locate the SoundList.ini in the flight folder as suggested by viper63a. What could be a problem?

Hello everyone,

Thank you for this awesome mod pack!  I installed it recently so I can experience flying all A-10s.

By the way,  I am having problem (Crash to Desktop) when trying to enter armed recon or CAS mission with new A-10s from the mod package.  Have anyone experienced the same problems? I am troubleshooting through this.  If anyone know the solution to this, please let me know.

I was flying Desert (TW) terrain. I'll try another terrain.

Set the base size as SMALL on DATA.INI.

Thank you for the help.  After changing the code "MinBaseSize=" from medium to small, it still caused SFP2 to crash when trying to use single player editor for CAS or armed recon.

UPDATE: IT IS SOLVED! I FOUND THE PROBLEM, it is MY FAULT!

What happened is that I renamed A-10 to a different name and the name was too long.  So if you have aircraft name being too long, it will cause mission editor to crash.  I shorten the aircraft name and it is working perfectly now!

For example, I named A-10 as this:

(USAF) A-10C Thunderbolt II [2005] "Warthog"

it crashed.  I shorten it as this:

(USAF) A-10C Thunderbolt II [2005]

Now mission editor can load successfully!
