You know after five or six long years finally some dialogue worth discussing. So let's have at it since you are on your soap box, respectfully.

 

Listen man, it's pretty simple. You, and a couple others here, with moderator tags, like to try and bully people. You lord over the bag of downloads and pretend like that's something to be proud of.

 

You don't know me so don't pretend you do. The fact that your response is here shows I'm not a bully and I am willing to allow you to have a voice as long as it remains civil and it's directed in the appropriate manner. I do not "lord" over anything you have that completely ass backwards. I am a prisoner to this place with the time and resources I commit here. I have never once complained about it and based on our discussion here you may find this to be the last month I allow this community to dip into my pocket. I boil this down to money not because I feel it's necessary but because you have on many occasions eluded to the riches I am apparently making. Please explain to me where you get your information and how you come about a realized profit margin. Please don't tell me or elicit a rebuttal that stems from the "internet is free" theory.

 

Now here is where I stand. I don't get bullied. In fact, when I see a bully situation, I go right at it. So, much as the problem always has been and evidently always will be, the issue is you.

 

You are not being bullied you perceive anyone who doesn't agree with you as a threat and try to compartmentalize them into a bully role but the reality is that you take on the role of the bully and try to force everyone to see things your way. You have an issue with a few people here, I get that. The truth is they have an issue with you and you have proclaimed some type of personal jihad against me because I refuse to align myself with your views or ideas. You are a guest here if you don't like the local cuisine or atmosphere you have been invited to leave, you childishly refuse to wit we are now in our third debate over the same butt hurt ideals you're sitting on. I have held out faith that someday you would come around and be part of the community instead of part of the problem, but I can see that will never happen. You are here because I've allowed you to remain. The tools that minimize your ability to participate in this community have always been available to me. It is only now that I implement them, because I'm literally done with you, that you choose to be civil.

 

The community has you my dear friend to thank for the limits that are now being initiated. I've started with removing free email accounts at registration and I will be following up with removing duplicate members either by having the same IP address or matching duplicate accounts by credentials. This will mean one member, one account. So thank you Jack or whatever your name is for exploiting all the loop holes which members previously have enjoyed. Past that based on your position and demeanor if CombatACE and all it's other services it provides can't make a break even every month you'll find the domain dark. There is one thing you definitely do NOT control and that is me, my time, my pocket book, or anything else I actually do "lord" over. I call that being fiscally responsible, thank you again for bringing it to my attention how much I loath giving anything to people like you.

 

I've received nasty personal emails, pm's, been slandered throughout flight sim boards and alot more, and because - and this is important - once the bully can no longer bully, he looks for help. He looks right to the same community he's been bullying for years.

 

Straight up lies. This is your problem with us not our problem with you. You bring your fight to us we do not bring it to you. You've said yourself you've relied on anonymity and making hundreds of accounts to hide your identity using proxy servers and free email accounts to create them. We've left you alone until you can't contain yourself and you send the ever reminding PMs or post in your hatefully spitefully manner that alert us that you are back to your old tricks. The only person bullying the community is you and your personal views about how and who should run it. Again I find you as being part of the problem not the solution. Things with you never change.

Combatace is a community and the two communities exist just fine. Again you speak about things you know nothing about.

The A-Team left years ago because they did not want to be part of the modders use agreement, they preferred to maintain control over their models and content. It was their decision to leave and now they control their own access to their content. We wish them well but again I fear you talk about things you know nothing of.

As far as I'm concerned, this place (you and everyone else here) does a superb job of providing a virtual world of Fighters, Fighter Pilots, and blowin' sh*t up. He instead resorts to primary school behavior to maintain an account here like he's hacking a firewall to a super node at the IRS. You know he warned in a post he made a few hours ago. "That he has put his ISP on alert and that there's already been one attempt of key logging his system." The stupidity is turned on high with this one and it's comically painful. Erik. I find it unbelievable that this person would persist in his (or her) personal crusade to be the top CombatAce troll for this many years. Someone, somewhere, must be giving an award we don't know about. I think you and the moderators have shown great restraint over the years in dealing with people like this, as evidenced by the fact that this is the first time I recall you talking about it openly. I'm saddened by the fact that you are restricting free email accounts, because that's the way I signed up many years ago, and I know the move will make it more difficult for new people to access the immense resources of this site. It is sad that one person is so egotistical that he (or she) is driven to make everyone else conform to his (or her) views to the point of restricting the access of honest people trying to enjoy this site. That is too much power for one person to have, but that's what this person is really getting off on, despite his (or her) claims to the righteousness of his (or her) arguments. But that's the internet, where people can be as destructive as their ego demands, hidden by its cloak of anonymity. And again, sadly, the only way this person could actually disprove my argument would be to do the one thing he (or she) will be the most unwilling to do; apologize for the harm they've caused, and go away. Yet, I know this person is telling themselves right now that all I'm doing is trying to manipulate them, and they're much too clever to be deceived like that, so we have the perfect Catch 22. This person doesn't have the power over themselves to lessen the grip of their own ego, so they will never have the decency to stop harming others.

Most everyone here really appreciates what you have done here. Combat Ace is a great place to come to and enjoy flight sims. I want to extend my own personal thanks for what you have built here and the time, effort, and trea$ure you've put into this place. We all owe you and the others who have built this community into what it is a huge debt of gratitude.

 

Some people simply can't get along with others and it sometimes is simply not worth the effort to try. I am a moderator on another board that occasionally gets "a bit heated" and occasionally is invaded by the deranged. I simply delete their posts and ask the site admin/owners to delete their accounts and block their IP's. This guy, or whatever, appears to be one those who simply can't be dealt with on a rational basis because he/she/it isn't.

 

Don't waste your time, just delete/ban/lock him out everytime he shows up and just accept that you can't deal with deranged idiots who fabricate their imagined grievances.

 

Then we can all just enjoy the community of flight simmers.

With each day I get closer to the day I leave to go to Basic Training, I notice more and more how dumb and childish trolling sites and users is. Me knowing I'm going away for some years to serve USA puts me in a philosophical mode, makes me wonder: how does an adult with a life find time to make E-mail accounts, circumvent protocols, and sign up for sites just to troll hours on end, and try to defile characters of users? The answer is simple, he has no life. I know I'm a better man than he is, I know Erik is a better man, I know everyone here is a better man than some guy who gets his jollies while sitting on a chair wearing only underwear in a dark room typing vile thoughts.

The general sentiment that it's a shame anyone would waste their time and talents like this is all too accurate. MB you're right about anonymity there is none no matter what anyone would like to think. The current legislature in place gives any authority the right to cut through this guy's perceived veil of anonymity he hides behind like a hot knife through warm butter.
