Wrench Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 For those of you that may (or may not!) have been following the discussion on the prop issues on the TMF F4U Corsairs (in particular the -4 and -4B), a fix has been found. What that means is, that I'll be reissuing BOTH the full KAW set for those 2 models, and the WW2 version of the -4. These WILL replace, it total, the original versions, as it'll referene the -7s lod (the AeroNaval version). With some obvious modification (read: component removals and such) So, sometime next week, if all goes well, I'll be uploading new sets. Unfortunately, you'll be deleting the original aircraft folder. The decals will be the same, and will be included in the new package. So, when installing just allow the overwrite of the various Decals folders. The first one out will be the F4U-4 for WW2 PTO, as it only has 2 skins to redo. An unexpected side effect of the switch, is NOW the wings are folded when sitting of the roof of the boat. VERY cool!! (and finally!!) With special thanks to Malibu43 for rattling the dust in my rafters and getting me to think of viable alternatives, that don't require locating a MAX file that probably doesn't exist anymore. So, watch the SF2 announcements Forum for when they're released 4 Quote

Wilches Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Guys, pay attention... On the F4U-4B the wing pylons were stagered in the same way as the F4U-5! Check this: F4U-4 - http://www.warbirdregistry.org/corsairregistry/images/corsair-97286.jpg F4U-4B - http://static.thisdayinaviation.com/wp-content/uploads/tdia//2012/08/740x610xVought-F4U-4B-Corsair-Bu.-No.-62924-landing-on-USS-Philippine-Sea-December-1950.jpg.pagespeed.ic.cyrlqp7BIU.jpg http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/Mark_Allen_M3/media/NAS%20Floyd%20Bennett/AnF4U-4BCorsairaircraftofVF-4BisionthegroundatFloydBennett1947_zps60995252.jpg.html http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/images/g430000/g439903.jpg F4U-7 - http://www.vought.org/products/html/f4u-7.html http://www.frenchwings.net/algeria/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/normal_js1024_05_80_-Corsair-F4U7-133704-795x497.jpg http://s293.photobucket.com/user/ALU_2008/media/js1024_10_01_57__F4U7-14F12-sur-Arr.jpg.html#/user/ALU_2008/media/js1024_10_01_57__F4U7-14F12-sur-Arr.jpg.html?&_suid=1403325717259049799491882002483 The TMF model is pretty good when it comes of accuracy and it has the correct wing pylon arrengement. The prop issue is already solved. I have no will to trade the model to a F4U-7. The planes are not the same!!! Quote
Wrench Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Good for you then. Nobody's asking you to download the fixed, working carrier based versions, IF and when I choose to upload them. and a free piece of advice ... pipe down Quote
