I'm interested in this as well. It's has all the elements of a hypothetical WW3 or at least a South East Asian War with Naval and Air Elements consisting of the China and alies vs Nato + south east asian countries such as Malaysia, Philippines etc. But sadly as Wrench said, no working terrain for it.

All,

Everyone knows I'm a dinosaur from SFP1. Yeah,, one day I will take the leap to SFP2.

Anyway,,,I started working on this a while back. It is still in very early beta stage.

It is built off SFP1 WOV, has about 700+ target areas, 18,000+ individual targets and over 150+ movements.

I am nowhere in the league of guys like Wrench, Stary and others but I do what I can.

I've created a couple of custom tiles for this terrain.

I have most of Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines completed. There's still plenty more to complete.

Like I mentioned this is an SFP1 work but I am sure someone could port it over to SFP2.

would make an outstanding ww2 map as well, filling in a large gap in SWP

and as we all know, porting to sf2 takes less than 2 minutes...(3, if one generates the _water.bmp)

All,

Quick update. Half Moon Shoal area.

Trying to create a shallow sea effect

Airstrip work. I just painted on the dirt airstrip and have elevated the island a bit 6m.

jeanba,

I've tried to keep up with the events on-going in the region. The map you posted, I have used to build additional islands.

The work continues

EricJ, Stratos, et al,

Thanks for the encouragement.

The work gets slow sometimes due to ReaLife but it continues.

I'm trying to create some various islands to give it a unique flavor.

No problem, I think I've bombed Afghanistan enough (not enough IRL but....) but yeah a more Pacific flavor that may include more than Vietnam is a good thing.  Hopefully it will be scaled accordingly or is it that 60% ratio that I may (correctly or incorrectly) believe?

EricJ,

I set the map scal at 110% when I built the terrain so it should be close.

The current terrain map area is 3000x3000 Km

More Islands

This´s realy awesome! It makes me wonder if any could make an Iwo Jima island, with all of its airstrips and proper terrain properties without interferes on Japanese mainland ones. A volcanic island, flat and with a single montain - the Mount Suribachi.
