+GKABS Posted April 8, 2021 Posted April 8, 2021 (edited) I wish if there was a tool like the WeaponsEdit or GunsEditor to edit the _data.INI file for the models (Air/Ground). Edited April 8, 2021 by GKABS added clarification 3 Quote
+Menrva Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 I wish there was a user-friendly TOD Editor, it's the last tool that (we few) terrain modders need. Just dreaming... 2 Quote

snowburn Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 I wish..... No more brain-dead wingmans a CTD Log. A roads/rivers tutorial for TE Quote
+Menrva Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 (edited) 2 hours ago, snowburn said: A roads/rivers tutorial for TE ThirdWire's Terrain Editor does not have working river and road list functions, so there's no need of a tutorial for something that simply does not exist. All road and river tiles in all custom terrains are placed manually by us creators with gerwin's TFDtool. You can get an idea of how time consuming and tedious this is. Wrench Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Quote A roads/rivers tutorial for TE How odd. That's never been a problem for me white = roads green = rivers 1 Quote

Some users wrongly believe that the Terrain Editor can automatically add rivers and roads using .ini lists; this function was never implemented in TW's Terrain Editor, despite it being shown in the GUI. For cities it's a different matter, city lists do work to an extent. The only way to properly add rivers and roads is to place each single tile manually via TFDtool. There's no easy way. 1 1 Quote
Wrench Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Phoooey on the TFD tool!!! I actually only use for minor height adjustments. I know, I know, not everyone has the TE experience I have. Quote The only way to properly add rivers and roads is to place each single tile manually Brother, don't I know it!!! Of course, you all can see how I cheat by painting the tile transition edges, and the roads and river paths. Did the sea/land coastline tiles too!! It cuts down time trying to match, and makes all the edges perfect (you'll find that screw up on the stock 3 terrains, too) I'm a cheater!!! I'm a cheater!!! hahaha hahaha I drink to my own cleverness!!! 2 3 Quote
