Ladies and gentlemen!

Our community most wanted entered (the FCK-1 for who reads the first time this thread) into its upper test phases. We thought it might be a good idea and a nice surprise for you, to let YOU (yes, you heard well, and yes, you are welcome! LOL), all, test a plane version. What we ask from you is to test it and let us know what you think of it so far and we embrace any constructive critics from you or ideas/suggestions you might have, to improve the model. The testing phase will last for two weeks, period after we would love to hear your input. Thank you all!

Stay tuned and ready ;)

Ladiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiies and Gentlemen !!! ( continuous and annoying drum rols!)

Here's the pack for you delight tasting ! Oops, I said tasting ? Well, you all know it was testing :)

Don't by shy, be wild and rip it apart, take it for a spin in your virtual skies and, (whispering) in two weeks , here, at the same hour and place, you let me know what you think, will you ?

PS - I won't spoil it telling you here what version it is, I let this surprise for you to unwrap it home, when you will open it ;)

You had forgotten to include the cockpit into the test pack. I changed the ini file  to CockpitDataFile=F-16A_Netz_cockpit.ini and the plane was available.

While first tests i found a bug with the shadow of the plane. There is a small black line between plane and the shadow on the soil. See here:

That's funny, it was available to me as a flyable (no cockpit though and I saw the shadow line) plane when I selected it, though of course no cockpit. Other than that it flies well for me, able to take the turns and stuff easily.

No, I didn't. I said in the beginning that there will be no cockpit for the moment. Being a "demo" (test pack) it was intutitive that it will need a substitute cockpit which everyone can pick. So no big deal here. Problem solved.

I'll take notes of all your observations. Carry on!

PS - the cockpit to which that line in cockpit.ini file sends (F/A-18) it was just used for our tests, that's all.

EricJ is CA's Mr  Hornet

Well, it was a hell of flight test!!!

During my test drive, escorted by my wingman in a ROCAF´s M2000, I was surprised by a chinese J-15 who send me some love, but I was fortunate to return to base with my test plane.
He SURVIVED, so its a good thing!!!

My 2 cents:

- (I changed the afterburner effect for another, to satisfy my personal taste, and needed to apply a F/A-18 cockpit to fly)

- I think the rudder visual movement need to be decrease a little, to some like the F-16, FBW planes do not have so much amplitude of movement in the rudder.

- The only issue I detected its the black line coming from the cockpit, like said in the post above.

Congratulations and thanks for the work of everyone involved!

I looked carefully and switched between all shadow levels. I don't see that black line. Strange...

Is there anyone who, too, didn't notice it ?

I tested it further and found out, that the black line does not appear in normal flight, but if you roll the plane on the back, then the line is visible.

no black line:

black line, seems to come from the cockpit frame

Done testing Phase I.

Flightmode : Normal, Full Autopilot. Map Formosa Mod. Loadout AA.
Verdict :  All AI controlled Aircraft, include Player Selected, take off and landing nicely. stable Terrain contour flight and responses to Manual/Auto Pilot/formation instantly.
no shaking or "break dance" in formation level flight.

Phase IA.

Flight Normal Mode, weapon Hard, Loadout AA, Mission Intercept, Map Formosa Mod, Pit F-18C, Wingman/Crew 0 point.
Result: No Probs with flight mode,  manoeuverability quite good,  also squadron's AI.
Maybe, the FM are close to realistic, in high G, fast changing of AOA, speed decrease considerably, even power in full AB. (i.e: in close dogfight).

Model itself are good, quite playable and enjoyable even in low spec office laptop. no fuzz in loading up to 6 planes. Haven't notice the shadow issue. (All my graphic setting are set to Medium).

Cons: Never face a fight of 4 J-11s with full  armed R-77 alone. just Don't!

I still don't see it, please see the pictures. I switched again through different settings for shadow and tried it in more maps. However we will take a look at the issue. Thank you for your input Michael.

The line comes from HUD or cockpit panel, when you fly inverted and the HUD is in line of sight with the shadow. It is not visible from any direction, but only on certain directions.

Yeah, I noticed it after rolling quite a bit time in Israel2 map. And , yes, at certain angles in Oy and Ox. We'll investigate.

Please test this LOD and let us know if the shadow thing was fixed. We tested and didn't find that black line anymore with this fixed LOD.

I've been using it in different terrains & scenarios, and haven't found anything to say "this is an issue"; at least, not for me. And I never saw the black line that others saw. I saw it in their screenshots; just not on my screen. I'm looking forward to the full release. You KNOW I'm going to nuke something with it first chance I get!!!

Did you eat your cookies and the milk ? Did you behave all this time ? Whaaaat? You didn't ??? LOL Well, anyway St Nicolas has news for you.We are officially launching our AIDC T-5 Brave Eagle (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AIDC_T-5_Brave_Eagle) thread. Our AT-5 is almost done, some details still remain to be nailed down.
As you might know by now, AT-5 is a trainer that has ability to carry most weapons the F-ck-1 could, except radar guided A2A weapons and the TC-2A anti-radiation missiles. It has no gun so we took the initiative to create an external gunpod for it.  Model itself is finished, though we might have to add an additional mesh to the back seat for the Hud repeater among other things. Since the AT-5 is a F-ck-1 modified version, we created templates for the AT-5 fuselage and updated them many time during the development. We still have some work here and there, for instance to adjust panel lines and the fade-in parts for the gills and airscoops. We planned, for now, just three skins for it (see the first two pictures and the last one included) though they will be a (real) challenge for the team given their complexity but I think we will manage it in the end. Decals are already planned to be implemented for it, too. We like the details so for the prototype we'll build a slightly different AC.lod with additional antennas. We made brand new pilots for the plane and we will also update soon the F-ck-1 with these new created pilots for it, too.
Given the present period of the year and the fact that some members of the team will take soon a well deserved holiday, we will have important news for you at the end of the January, next year. Until then we will work to the skins and to some left details. Stay tuned.

PS - I included four pictures as well for our model.

Well I was absent for a long period dealing with my own "in real life" problems but, at least for a while, I'll be hanging around here with you. What bird do you think should be next, if you caught my drift ? ;) Let me know what you're thinking ladies and gents, will you ?
