You got a virus. Sweep your computer again and again until it stops. -
I had this issue long time ago, but for the life of me, I cannot remember what caused it. Can you send me the ini files in PM? It is _ALWAYS_ a good idea to have a second pair of eyes on a file. Obvious errors are usually ignored when your eyes scan a file and see what they expect to see, not what is actually there.

That is good news! "Woof" to all you who at last revived Veteran status!

Only if you want them to be flyable. Force is the Alliance (ig. Allies, Nato, Warsaw Pact...). Service is the nation, that can be part of a Force. That reminds me, have you added Imperial Japanese to your Nations.ini? Because this is an island campaign, will I have to have transports or other ships to move units around? If so, do I list them as seperate ground units also? Im also still not getting the campaign to show up ingame drop down menu. In the solomons.ini file I have this... It is correct. Ground forces will transport themselves to other islands, no need to add ships.

Thanks a bunch! This will really come in handy! -
First of all: If the Campaign does not show, check your settings. Your folder name must be the same as the main .ini file of the Campaign, example Solomons.ini. Now to the Nodes: Strategic notes is pretty much a horrible, sick, twisted game of connect the dots between the two base areas. Once you understand it, it is easy, but simply getting told usually does not create such understanding. There are a few rules to it: 1: The two capitols must be connected via the series of connected nodes, or the ground forces have no objective. 2: If they are only connected to their own capitol, ground forces will show up, but do nothing. 3. Each node should not be connected to too many other nodes. I usually keep a rule of two friendly, two enemy to make the attack paths fluid. If you want it to follow a historical or set attack path, simply point your strategick notes accordingly. 4: You can remove the base point values. They are no longer needed. To help you show where a point is on the map, a terrain viewer such as KMD is much recommended.

Already have it but spent precious little time with it. It truly is a good master strategy game. It feels different at first, but its glorious!

TK's campaign customizer...
JonathanRL replied to pcpilot's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I have used it, and I am quite fond of it. Works well enough if you wish to experience a campaign with a completly different aircraft and / or from the other side without having to dig into .ini -
SF2na question
JonathanRL replied to FrankTB's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
You should be able to see SF2: NA Aircraft & Campaigns by starting the game by the Strike Figthers 2.exe or Strike Figthers 2 North Atlantic. The game will however still be merged. And yes, it is normal since you have no mods installed. Check your single mission screen if you can see the Third Wire F-14A & F-14 (77) Tomcats there. If you can, it works fine. -
I have been eying the G940 for years, but then again pretty much everything else - Keyboard, Speakers, Mouse - are also Logitech products. So far, however I have not been able to pay the 200 euros for the set.

The file structure should be Campaigns/BloodyApril1917/Content including BloodyApril1917.ini Is that the case now?

Good Story of Honor in Warfare
JonathanRL replied to SteveLohr's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
The man purpose of chivalry in Warfare is to make sure you do not come out of it insane; to make sure you retain some of your humanity. While cold, efficient killers are good at wars, they are quite terrible to have in Peace, especially if you have loads of them. A good comparison is the Vietnam War where little if any chivalry was present. See what that did to the soldiers who fought in it ! To let go of the hatred that must be present in a pilot who rise to defend his country from armadas of Bombers is quite a extraordinary character feat as well. That he continued to do is duty afterwards have no bearing on that particular action. Also, I find that shooting at downed pilots who are _no longer a threat_ is a horrible thing to do. They had their chance, they lost honourably. Do not think that is the same as a masterfully executed sneak attack like Toranto or Pearl Harbour where the entire point is to never give the enemy the chance in the first place - a smart strategy I admit; and with no loss of honour since it is the defender who needs to be vigilant ! War is horrible, and all find ways to try and preserve a sense of right and wrong. It is not for you to judge a man who decided to show mercy when there was no reason to kill. But you did not join the war when England did. You joined the war late 1941, when Hitler declared war on you, after Pearl Harbour. While you did pick up the glove, there was no reason for you to do so. It would have been easy for you to ignore the declaration. That your country decided to get involved anyway is to its highest credit. -

What is the smart thing to do is not always the right thing to do, JFM.
