  1. Take a look at the all of the scab patches over the upper fuselage. That is a pretty decent answer. The last USAF F-16 purchased is a '01 serialed Block 50, delivered in 2005. 7 years of constant flying and overseas ops has taken it's toll on the Viper fleet.
  2. I too have to agree with Diego. I've been a very vocal opponent of the way the TW series has gone, but yet still purchased the releases in the hopes something would have gotten better. That ended for me with SF:NA. I did not purchase it and I seriously doubt I will until some serious changes are made. I'm sick of hearing how poor he is and how it's too difficult to add new things that the 3rd party modders seem to figure out in hours. Over the past 6 months, my time in SF2 has been rather short. It no longer brings much interest as without the mods, it's dull and solitary. MP would bring so much life to the sim. TK does not give two shakes about what we think here. I think it's time for me to spend my time & $$ elsewhere.
  3. At this point, who cares? The USAF will not get the jet in the numbers they want anyhow. If we havent learned from the F-22, then we're completely lost. I still feel the C is the best of the lot.
  4. Read through the numerous threads already posted here. This one about 3 threads below yours in fact: http://combatace.com/topic/72628-sf2na-problems/ Basically TK's weapons/jets and the SF2 wep packs do not use the same weapon station codes and not compatable without some editing.
  5. Just signed up. I've had the A-6, EA-6B and F-102 for a while. Screenshots show the now freeware IRIS S-3 also? Awesome. Still a great jet to fly. -S
  6. Cool toy. Gives an excellent look around the Hornet. Congrats on the oppurtunity and thanks for sharing it. -Jeff
  7. Why not? A V/STOL aircraft is a holdover from the Cold War. The USMC has been operating from shore bases or cross-decking onto the CVNs. The job of the Amphib carrier can be done with a CVN. Just change up the airwing and add more helos/Ospreys. The B just doesnt bring much to the fight. It's short legged and weight restricted. IMO, an all F-35C purchase by all 3 services would be the winner. Add the internal gun from the A and you have a sweet jet.
  8. I can't speak for John or Jeremy, but contact them directly and see what they. I know Jeremy plays the SF series, so might be more inclined to give the ok.
  9. Yeah, it's a group we started up in Wichita, Ks. We've got a site in works. It's not were we wanted it to be yet, but is viewable. www.air-capital-images.com Thanks!
  10. Thank you Gents. I appreciate the comments. -Jeff
  11. Life is good lately. I actually feel like a real boom again.
  12. As a user, I can say that for freeware, I'm happy with the results so far. Far better than the stock anything from TW. As for Aeyes, his stuff is all payware so more attention should be given to polishing everything since money is in the loop. Kind of an unfair comparison. Nice work Brain. -Jeff

  17. To all of those who did not come home and to those that carried on afterward.
  18. Saw F-35B BF-12 fly this past Friday. Went down to Ft Worth with the hopes of photographing some. After morning technical issues, a single Bravo went up later that afternoon. The A-model was hard broke. Apparently, it's (the B) not favored by anyone, but politics have gotten so far out of whack about it, no one knows what to do. The RAF looks to get 2 Bravos for training at Eglin, but the rest will most likely be the C-model. But yes, I agree they should scrap the project and proceed with Supers and Hawkeyes. So much $ already wasted.
  19. No prob Dave. Glad to do them. I love those old red/white test jets. Should have been born 40 years earlier.
  20. Excellent. I love the Twosair. I'm already having fun flying it. Thanks!
  21. View File NOTU A-4E Skyhawk My latest Flight Test scheme is an A-4E Skyhawk from the Naval Air Test Center, Ordnance Test Unit, China Lake, circa 1968. To install, simply drop everything into your MOD folder. I've included the VHF antenna Russouk2004 made for me, as the TW stock A-4E was missing it. It's already added to the jet via my enclosed DATA.ini file. Please add the following text to the SquadronList.ini [squadronXXX] Name=VX31 DisplayName=VX-31 Red Devils Nation=USN I know Test schemes aren't for everyone, so for those that appreciate the old days of Flight Test, this is for you. Thanks again to Russouk2004 for the antenna, And Wrench for the assist with the aux fuel tank decal tip. And of course TK for the base files. -Jeff "Storm" Stoermer Submitter ST0RM Submitted 05/09/2012 Category A-4
