  1. We began this by talking about Russian SEAd jets and ended up with a new BETA aircraft to test out. I'm really impressed with it so far. The detail you've got to this point is outstanding, Erwin. If you dont mind, I'd like to reposition the lights and chaff/flares, as they are slightly off. Also, any thought on changing it's designation to Su-25TM, since that seems to be the most current? Looking forward to future additions. Thanks! -S
  2. Better late than never. $$ sent.
  3. Another Bear comes out of hibernation. Looking forward to this one as well Ed. Jeff
  4. I've read more than my share of combat reports from both sides for a paper I wrote on the late-war Luftwaffe. Despite the points you brought up, shooting down two fast moving jet aircraft is still a huge accomplishment in my book. -S
  5. Wow Jug, you really know how to make an appearance. Great photo! Jeff
  6. Pretty bad a$$ to get two within a few seconds. And even better as a gunner.
  7. Gotta love the demands of the noobs
  8. Yes, it's obvious it's an airshow or some sort of trade show where Mikoyan is trying to sell the aircraft and has some dummy missiles loaded for show. -S

    Fem-Bot

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article2023392.ece Fem-bot's my love machine By STAFF REPORTER A BOFFIN too busy to find real love has INVENTED his idea of the perfect woman – a female ROBOT. Inventor Le Trung, 33, created Aiko, said to be “in her 20s” with a stunning 32, 23, 33 figure, shiny hair and delicate features. She even remembers his favourite drink and does simple cleaning and household tasks. "Fem-bot" Aiko, who has cost £14,000 to build so far, is a whizz at maths and even does Le’s accounts. Le, a scientific genius from Brampton in Ontario, Canada, said he never had time to find a real partner so he designed one using the latest technology. He said he did not build Aiko as a sexual partner, but said she could be tweaked to become one. “Her software could be redesigned to simulate her having an orgasm and reacting to touch as if she is playing hard to get or being straight to the point,” he said. The former software programmer has taken out credit cards and loans, sold his car and spent his life savings on perfecting the machine. “I want to make her look, feel and act as human as possible so she can be the perfect companion,” said Le. The odd looking pair go out for drives together in the Canadian countryside, before sitting down at the dinner table, but Aiko never eats anything. Le said: “So far she can understand and speak 13,000 different sentences in English and Japanese, so she’s already fairly intelligent. “When I need to do my accounts, Aiko does all the maths. She is very patient and never complains.” The fem-bot has a touch-sensitive face and body so she reacts if shown affection or hurt. “Like a real female she will react to being touched in certain ways. If you grab or squeeze too hard she will try to slap you. She has all senses except for smell,” he said. Le, a child genius who was put in a class for talented youngsters, made his first robot when he was just eight years old. He began work on Aiko two years ago in the home he shares with his brother. But the stress of working on such a difficult project became too much for Le and he suffered a mild heart attack in November last year. “It was shocking to have a heart attack at the age of 33,” he admits. “But the doctors said I’d been doing too much. “I may need to have Aiko look after me one day. “She doesn’t need holidays, food or rest and she will work almost 24-hours a day. She is the perfect woman,” he said. “People have mixed reactions when they meet Aiko,” he said. “They either love or hate her. Some people get angry and accuse me of playing God. Once someone threw a rock at Aiko. That really upset me. “But many people are fascinated by her. "Women are generally impressed and try to talk to her. But the men always want to touch her, and if they do it in the wrong way they get a slap.
  10. Using the Minolta 7D. It's not quite as high-tech as the Canons or Nikons, but it does pretty well. I'd like to upgrade to the Sony A700 this coming year, but we'll see how the finances go. Jeff
  11. Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but the MiG-25 doesnt just instantly accelerate to Mach 3. Nor is it impossible for it to fly at normal speeds when required. As for the MiG-31 not being used in the SEAD role. I wouldnt disclued it altogether. And for this sim, why not use it. Here's a pic I found of a BM carrying Kh-58 ARMs and you'll notice R-77's also. -S
  12. Experienced flyers/drivers are always welcome. Cheers, Storm
  13. I see this as something to get kids back into simming, rather than WoW or some other RPG. I hope it does well and has them wanting more of a challenge later on, so they may move onto other sims and keep the demand alive. -S
  14. No. My first was back in 2006 at Edwards. A/R'd with Raptor 8 on a test mission. When I took the photo above, I was giving a checkride, so my hands were free to shoot pics. We're getting alot of the Holloman Raptors as of late. -S
  15. Actually, you are correct. My mistake. I was thinking of the later BM and the Kh-31 combo. Thanks for the correction. -S
  16. The MiG-31 was designed with SEAD in mind. IIRC, the Kh-31 is the weapon of choice. I'm sure some of the other guys will chime in with more info for you though. Hope it helps you get started. Jeff ----------------------- Just did some quick research in a couple of books I've got in my office at home (non-classified). Along with the Foxhound, the MiG-25BM, Su-22M3/M4 and Su-24M/MK are fitted with the Kh-58U "Kilter" Anti-Radiation missile and are/were used in the SEAD role. Also, China's Su-27MKK has the ability to carry the Kh-58UshE ARM. So, thats an even better start for you.
  17. @Silverbolt, Thanks! Here's another of my favs. She's an old cougar, but still does the job very well!
  18. Thanks Sid. Got the flaps set for a 30 and 50 degrees with the appropriate speed restrictions. Now to mess with the fuel tanks/capacities and many other things. Man, I wish I could model in MAX to help out. -Jeff
  19. I'm rather fond of this one. Took it just last week.
  20. Radio DJ's are some of the lowest scum on this earth, IMO. Todd and Tyler out of KC are some of the worst bunch. I just read that a Congressional Aide leaked info to the press in regards to the initial debrief. "No official initial finding of the cause of the crash was given, but a congressional aide who had been briefed on the crash said the pilot was trying to land at Miramar after his right engine malfunctioned. The aide spoke on condition of anonymity because the information was not yet public." What an a$$hole! He/She knew that they werent supposed to release anything and yet they did it anyhow. On the other side, I feel for the father/husband who lost his family that day. -S
  21. Pardon me for piggy backing on your thread, but if I wanted to limit the flap setting to a speed (to prevent overspeeding the flaps), would I adjust the DeployValue of that flap in the data.ini? I'm working on the KC-135 from Veltro and we have 4 flap settings (5 if you count up). For Flaps 20, our speed limit is 230kts, 220kts for 30 degrees and on down to full down at 50 degrees. I'd like to add this. Thanks! Storm
  22. Ok, you know this is going to come up, so I'll ask first. Is the parachuting pilot a new add-on that you've discovered or Photoshop? Nice!
  23. Nice update! What would be cool is the have individual aircraft classes with their own icons. Helos, bombers, etc... Maybe someday when we get a real C&C function. -S
  24. Yea Kevin, I did ask you a while back when I was messing with the MH-60 and AH-6 lighting, IIRC. I was meaning more of a true strobe, like on the tail of F-16, or on a helo. Bummer, as that would be a cool effect. -Jeff
  25. Hmm, something to try out and see if it works Sorry lindr, mistook what you were asking.
