  1. Ahh, Praise the Lord. Finally... Do you guys know how many virtual yellow stickies I've got on my comp just to remember all the add-ons when I create a sep or new install? WTG FC!
  2. Beautiful, but how bad of a hit on the FRS? -S
  3. I've tried to make strobe lights, but couldnt get them to work right. The timing interval in between flashes and intensity was ok, but the time of the actual flash isnt modelled (or known to me), so it just looked like a bright and rapidly flashing light. Great light work Jug. Thanks! -S
  4. Terrain Avoidance was disabled in the Avionics 70. Bt GMT, do you mean the Ground Mode of the radar? It should be listed as just GM and not Ground_mode in the AvailableModes section in the avionics ini for the specific aircraft. The Ground Mode just maps what is in front of you and targets will appear as white blobs, but are not be targeted using the radar. Hope that answers your question. -S
  5. Here are some pics of an IIRAF F-5F: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Iran---Air/...iger/1352471/M/ Note that the aft fuselage/burner can section is from another aircraft. Nice touch. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Iran---Air/...iger/1416172/L/ http://www.airliners.net/photo/Iran---Air/...iger/1398085/L/ Great work from all of you guys on this F-5F. Especially FC. Looking forward to the family model. Thanks!
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the T-34 using a Hurricane FM as in interim? I could have sworn I read that. -S
  7. Trying to keep this one alive since Eric generously gave us a model to work with. Let's not let him down. -S
  8. Great stories Rambler. You've captured the action pretty well. Keep 'em coming. -S
  9. The Deuce! She's been long awaited by many. Look great.
  10. Love this terrain mod. Adds a much needed feature to liven up the old desert terrain. Thanks! -S
  11. Ahh, the Tube O' Pain. The coldest and most cramped flight I've ever had. Looks great Ed! -Jeff
  12. I have to agree with Kevin. This is probably the key feature that is missed. No offense to you guys who want more aircraft, but I'm guessing some of you are younger and just want to fly low and fast in something cool. The actual use of it in game is lost on you, aside from a small few. I had more, but I'll leave it at that. -S
  13. Took her for a few flights already. I like what I see so far. She was a bit light on the basic weight, so I used EmptyMass=56925.842 which equals 125,500lbs for a MPRS jet. The engine thrust in Newtons seemed high, (or my math was wrong), so I tried to convert 22,000 (per engine) into Newtons, but she wont take off now. Again, my math is probably off as I cant find an exact conversion. What are the extra prop engines for, in the Engine section? The Spin and Con? Also, the things at the back of the wing undersides, can we delete them? Jug, nice work on the lights. I'm going to adjust them a bit to include the taillights, overwing, underbody and nacelle lights. We can light up like a Christmas tree when needbe. Again, I like it and hope to make it that much better. Jeff
  14. Gonna sit down and D/L this tonight and take it up for a flight. Thanks Ed! Jeff
  15. Yea, I'll press with this. Wrench already has a Texas map with Randolph AFB, IIRC. PMs inbound. Jeff
  16. Ahh, the joys of being an aviator, eh Sparko?
  17. A few months ago, I ran an idea past a few guys based around this very thing. Kind of like an AETC pilot training series of missions. Some of the more obvious setbacks were: - Lack of training acft (do have a Tweet and T-6 Texan II) - AG radar is very basic I'm still tinkering with it as a side project though, so maybe if we get some more blanks filled... 18. While this has been brought up several times over the years, the Blackbird does not have a lack of following, but more along the lines of trying to get aircraft out that had a more interactable role. The interest factor of zooming over EVERYTHING at FL850+ would quickly fade, since you can only do that. Plus, the AI wouldnt utilize it correctly. So I believe the time and energy is being focused on other projects. -S
  19. I love this idea. A-to-G/COIN missions are a ton more interesting than the strictly A-to-A sorties. Any thought to adding the Impala? South Africa had them and some surplus aircraft could have been sold off. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=5937 Good luck. -S
  20. Go into your effects folder and find the CBUeffects.ini file. If you reduce the view distance from 18000 to about 10000 or less (depending on your system), it should help out on the frames. I've done with this will all of my bomb explosion effects as I was getting really slow during the mass bombing runs. Hope it helps. -S
  21. There are some great pilots at Kevin's site, but the links have been shut down. So no, modern IDF though. 'K
  22. Currently there is not a true GR.4 available in any scale. The only kit in 1/32 is from Revell of Germany, but it is an IDS/ECR. Obviously you would need to update the cockpit, add the second chin blister and delete the left gun. Those are just the starters. Sorry.
  23. Masking them works best. Eduard makes some vinyl masks for specific kits, but I use a yellow tape from Tamiya that is great. It's low tack, so it doesnt leave a residue on the plastic. I cut it around the frames leaving them exposed, with a brand new knife blade. Hope it helps.
  24. In alot of the mods, I'm seeing references for pilots that havent been released yet, or not with the package. Has anyone done modern IDF pilots? The MODusaf is nice, but not exact and I'd like to prevent repeating someone's work. Thanks! Storm
  25. The only BLUE SAMs I've gotten to work are the Chapperel and the Hawk, and the Hawk was intermittent at best. The Stinger and ADATS just sit there for me also, even though I've checked the ini entries multiple times. Storm
