Well, first of all you should patch WoI - update makes ground steering a little more sensitive. Wheel steering doesn't work at high speed. Slow down and rudder keys should work. Don't forget to apply a little throttle and disengage the brakes.

Well, you can make a model an make it fly in game following LOD exporter notes... but laying out mapping for textures and creating an FM is a much more complicated task.

You can convert 3d max files to LODs but not the other way round. Although AFAIK some minor alterations to LODs can be made with a hex editor.

Oh, yeah... 65-73 hits to shoot down a balloon. Love it. BTW did you notice, there's a "broken prop" model there? I had a rough landing (with at least 10 Albs shooting at me) and nerly touched the ground with the nose. The prop was replaced by a broken off stub.

Errr... Skyhawk has radar/TV MFD. I think, Phantom has one too - I used to drop Walleyes and fire Mavericks from them. A-10 has TV.

I absolutely love the new patch for one simple reason. Yet again tweaked bullet vs. armor balance :yes: Suspected this after a short test run... checked just now with test mission duel of SPAD 13 vs. Alb D.III. Post mission report shows it took 45(!!!) hits to down the Hun (wasted about 400 bullets). No more scoring a quick kill squeezing the trigger when an enemy plane dashes through your sights. One shot-one kill now works only if you put a bullet right in the back of their head Also plane is no longer considered destroyed on the spot if you lose a wing. My dream came true. BTW, ejection button works maybe TK will make something out of it. Or remove it...

I think ground behaviour got fixed. Before the patch I had nearly no rudder control on takeoff (after the wheel becomes stiff) and had to apply full rudder - now it's possible to make small correction a bit easier. The plane would also get stuck in the ground the moment I steered off the runway on the taxi way. Full power was required to move as if the path was not counted as being paved.
