    Seems InOp

LOL....so what he meant to say was The files for the "A-4C and A-4E Internal Fuel Gauge Mod" in the DOWNLOAD section of BIOHAZCENTRAL are INOP? That makes more cents.... Sorry for the confusion Ranger, I'll see if MJ can move this thread to the "Biohaz Bugs Forum" and fix the problem.... not sure where an alternative download might be...sorry Cheers!

    What?
  5. I hope everyone enjoys the new calendars! If you would like a European version just drop me a line...I'll be more then happy to put them up. As I stated before, I've been getting many idears from www.historicwings.com, and this month they have a fine addition to their site. So fine in fact that I thought I would share it here: If you would like to download it, head on over to their site and check out some of the great articles....btw....sorry guys....there's no 1600x1200 sizes...
  6. I hear he's taken over Shea Stadium
  7. I just tried mine with now problems. My only suggestion is to either check your Video Card Drivers and see if they are the latest, if they are, you may want to roll them back to the previous version and see if that works. I haven't heard of any GF4 display issues. Fates ASUS A7V8X/AMD2400/Radeon 9700 PRO AIW/512 MB DDR 2700/WinXP
  8. Seeing how I come from the GA side of things: Beautiful: Beech Staggerwing Historic: Learjet Best: Sr-71 Blackbird (which could also take the previous 2 categories)
  9. Here it is....this is the latest A10 for BF1942: Desert Mod .3 (18Mb) http://www.teamodb.com/flightsims/screens/...s/a-10_test.zip
  10. wow.....I've got a pic somewhere of one of our companies personal jets pulling up next to the Concord (British Airways) and letting our owners get out and walk 30 feet to board the Concord. Last I remember it was like 10K round trip to fly!
  11. enuff said....hehe
  12. 1) Why are there 6 of the 10 pics showing different views of inflight refueling of an aircraft that's completly controlled by the computer? Where's the skill in that? 2) Why the F-16? That's alot of pics of a non-flyable. I understand pics of the ground/sea forces help immerse the potential customer into buying the game (heck...i was immersed a year ago) 3) I'm quite happy to see the underside of the Mig29 and the fact that the weapons shadow on the airframe....this has been a difficult task for 3d Artist to overcome in games, or maybe just a technology boost coming from more powerful graphics cards today.. I am truely amazed at this. Also not only does the missle shadow the airframe, the airframe shadows the missles.

  16. ok....where's the heat effects? Or are they only apparent beyond the AB rings or with no AB?
  17. If by "FB" you mean Fat Bastard, I posted my pic in the PICS Thread. If you mean "Forgotten Battles", well...Send me your game...I'll be happy to. I suppose I could wait for a demo to be released for FB and show some pics from that. I just got off the IL2 site...don't go there often... (since props are for smashing bugs) and I didn't find a Demo for FB...only the original. The game is graphically stunning, and from what I see and hear..it's also incredible realistic. I played Janes WW2, and I also played the IL-2 Demo. Both, IMO, were excellent games. Send me the game...I'll indulge you retinas! Cheers Fates
  18. Airspeed Indicator The airspeed indicator is a sensitive, differential pressure gauge which measures and shows promptly the difference between (1) pitot, or impact pressure, and (2) static pressure, the undisturbed atmospheric pressure at level flight. These two pressures will be equal when the aircraft is parked on the ground in calm air. When the aircraft moves through the air, the pressure on the pitot line becomes greater than the pressure in the static lines. This difference in pressure is registered by the airspeed pointer on the face of the instrument, which is calibrated in miles per hour (MPH), knots, or both. Kinds of Airspeed There are three kinds of airspeed that the pilot should understand: • Indicated Airspeed • Calibrated Airspeed • True Airspeed Indicated Airspeed Indicated airspeed (IAS) is the direct instrument reading obtained from the airspeed indicator, uncorrected for variations in atmospheric density, installation error, or instrument error. Calibrated Airspeed Calibrated airspeed (CAS) is indicated airspeed corrected for installation error and instrument error. Although manufacturers attempt to keep airspeed errors to a minimum, it is not possible to eliminate all errors throughout the airspeed operating range. At certain airspeeds and with certain flap settings, the installation and instrument error may be several miles per hour. This error is generally greatest at low airspeeds. In the cruising and higher airspeed ranges, indicated airspeed and calibrated airspeed are approximately the same. It may be important to refer to the airspeed calibration chart to correct for possible airspeed errors because airspeed limitations such as those found on the color-coded face of the airspeed indicator, on placards in the cockpit, or in the Airplane Flight Manual or Owner’s Handbook are usually calibrated airspeeds. Some manufacturers use indicated rather than calibrated airspeed to denote the airspeed limitations mentioned. The airspeed indicator should be calibrated periodically because leaks may develop or moisture may collect in the tubing. Dirt, dust, ice, or snow collecting at the mouth of the tube may obstruct air passage and prevent correct indications, and also vibrations may destroy the sensitivity of the diaphragm. True Airspeed The true airspeed indicator (TAS) is calibrated to indicate true airspeed under standard sea level conditions—that is, 29.92 in. Hg. and 15° C. Because air density decreases with an increase in altitude, the airplane has to be flown faster at higher altitudes to cause the same pressure difference between pitot impact pressure and static pressure. Therefore, for a given true airspeed, indicated airspeed decreases as altitude increases or for a given indicated airspeed, true airspeed increases with an increase in altitude. A pilot can find true airspeed by two methods. The first method, which is more accurate, involves using a computer. In this method, the calibrated airspeed is corrected for temperature and pressure variation by using the airspeed correction scale on the computer. A second method, which is a “rule of thumb,” can be used to compute the approximate true airspeed. This is done by adding to the indicated airspeed 2 percent of the indicated airspeed for each 1,000 feet of altitude.
  19. My GUESS is that it's still too soon to release a demo.... Most games don't release a demo until they're in the final stages of goin gold anyway. Creating a Demo is a great undertaking by the dev team, and can put a serious crunch on Gold release times. I would expect a demo out "assuming they make a demo" about 2-3 weeks prior to Gold release. That's still a long time to wait. But, that's also time that we can help promote the game as well as assist the dev team by giving them feed back as to what we want to see when it goes gold.
  20. SDirickson, Last time I got a student loan I bought me a new Gamer machine. Of course it was a Win 3.1, 166Mhz, but it would run the hell outta Doom and Leisure Suite Larry....hehe.... Always look at the bright side! Fates
  21. I just asked Matt about those heat effects on the LOMAC forum last week...he just made my day... Thanks Matt!!! Buy the crew a round and send me the bill!
  22. Shepski.. So Photo Realistic, pilot glared on the MFD, WOW WOW WOW Incredible work guys....this stuff is gonna smoke my Radeon 9700 Pro.
  23. Cheers Skater! Next rounds on me.....
  24. I still think they need to turn down the NAV lights a touch. I'm also curious how they can reflect cloud images on the water, but there are no NAV lights or Afterburner reflections on the runway from this shot: I'm also suprised that there is no engine smoke from the 4 engine aircraft. Either way, I'm more then happy with anything LOMAC produces. Cheers!
