  1. As I said, the glow effect will not work in SF1 and its varients. It is DX10 (SF2) only. The exhuast trail is part of the SF2 particlesystem.ini, and will probably work fine.
  2. That depends on what you mean by "look Like". For example, the glow effect emitted by missile engines in SF2 is a DX10 effect.
  3. SF2's effects are DX10 shader-enhanced. The SF1-series is limited to DX9.
  4. Here's a little cutie from me to youtie, it is model aeroplane glue! These ads used to crack me up when I was a kid:

    Wow.

Since there's no sign that the film was exposed to radiation (no evidence of white spots on the original emulsion) I'd say it was far enough away. The camera was probably automated or remotely operated, anyway.
  6. I've ordered stuff from them on a Friday morning, used their free shipping option (only applicable on orders over $25) was given a delivery date of the following Friday through Monday, and had it arrive just two business days later, on Tuesday.
  7. I deal with Amazon all the time, they're safe and fast.
  8. Oh Great Pool-Hall Oracle, tell us of TK's plans..... http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~ssanty/cgi-bin/eightball.cgi
  9. I'm sure clanitho meant "locking on" as in acquiring a target by placing the radar's targeting cursor on it, and causing the weapon's seeker head to slave to the aircraft's radar (as one would with a SAHM or AHM). Not by selecting it as one would a visual ground target (via the "E" key), which is what it sounds like in your example, Eric.
  10. Oh! You mean like this? Or like this? http://www.metacafe.com/watch/241648/air_to_air_missile_launch/
  11. By either scripting one yourself, or downloading one from our downloads section. Otherwise, There is no way to launch from a carrier in a system generated mission. Which title(s) do you own?
  12. Xmac position at that airspeed, Cla, Cl0, to name just a few. Unless you have a grasp of what you're doing, and of the complex interrelations between the various lift surfaces, I'd leave it alone.
  13. Update...just noticed the blue transtainer crane between the small container ships...nice touch
  14. We need to have someone make us 12-high stacks of generic (and multi-colored) 20 and 40 foot connexes.
  15. Nope, for the time being, only the new Thirdwire cat extractor will work, and all LOD files are now locked and inaccessible (thanks no doubt to those who ignored our warnings regarding distributing copywrited material).
  16. We were getting tired of telling you for the last three years or so, that you were mistaken (regarding non-RHM BVR). Also, series one is dead as far as the developer's concerned, SF2 is the way to go. It's gratifying to see that you've finally decided to join the dark side...and get SF2
  17. By being forced to work for it, of course! 5K per month's rent equals minimum wage x 689 hours....wait a sec, there's just over 500 hours in an average month... I know, we'll just tack it on to their existing sentence!
  18. Install WoV first, then install WoE merged when prompted, then patch.
  19. I've been moding this series since November of 2002 (when SF:P1 was officially released), so believe may when I say that there never was a working bomb release sound.
  20. Ever wonder what it sounded like in real life? Depth charges exploding underwater, ship screws, torpedos, etc? Here's a neat site that you can spend hours on: http://www.hnsa.org/sound/#pampanito
  21. The various Hawk launchers in Wrench's Irq/Iran terrain don't salvo by both design, and by placement. The latter is just as important.

This past Friday marked the 74th anniversary of the Hindenburg catastrophe, at Lakewood NAS, in NJ: http://www.app.com/article/20110507/NJNEWS/305070043/Deadly-Hindenburg-blaze-recalled-74-years-later-base?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|Frontpage
  23. They require a separate radar to be located along with them, and are best deployed using the SF default, 6x1 "star of David" layout. I can attest to the fact the ones supplied by Wrench use the right frequencies, and have the correct missile performance parameters.
