Another Michael Mann film that's well worth watching is "Man Hunter", starring William Peterson. This was the first film to feature the Hannibal Lecktor character (in this case, played by Brian Cox), predating "Silence of the Lambs" by over 5 years. The movie "Red Dragon" was essentially a poor remake of this film.

In real life, variants of both the MiG-21 and MiG-23 started carrying the R-73 (AA-11) during the 1980s and 1990s...so that's not unrealistic. In as far why some aircraft seem to get a upgraded loadout, well, that has to do with the availability dates of the aircraft's default weapon-set. as defined in the loadout.ini. In the aforementioned case regarding the F-4 and the '9L, the 9L is defined as being available well into the 2000s. If it were not, the next oldest weapon that meets the loadout criteria for that aircraft and (weapons station) would be loaded in its place.

If you spot yourself on the cat, it will reset, or at least, it used to in SF1....I haven't tried it in SF2.

Yes, and I tried it myself with similar results....another broken parameter . You can try upping the drag values of the flaps...but be careful and do in small increments. This will force the AI to throttle up due to increased drag. This is the value you need to play with, under each Flap entry. "CDdc" If it reads like so: CDdc=0.0350, try upping it to CDdc=0.0360, and so on, in . 001 increments.

You can try this parameter under the airbrake entry: DeployWithFlaps=TRUE
