  1. Yes, the unfortunate amphibian has become the latest internet celebrity, and like Forest Gump, he's been showing up practically everywhere.
  2. The GTX760 is the lower-mid-range enthusiast card from nVidia at the moment. They offer it with a frame buffer of up to 4 GB. That's a lot of VRAM!
  3. .
  4. Rule number one: Never max out the horizon distance. Try setting that to normal and let us know how much it helps.
  5. In Alexander Zuyev's book "Fulcrum - A top gun pilot's escape the Soviet Empire", Zuyev (who had many hours in the MiG-23) stated that the '23 had terrible stall characteristics and a resultant high-landing speed, and was found wholly unsuitable for conversion into a carrier-based aircraft. Despite this, OKB Mikoyan kept pushing the concept, with the result that several prototypes were lost and several pilots badly injured during tests. The one good thing that came out of that program, was proof that zero-zero ejection seats actually did function (and saved lives) as intended,
  6. Try upping the CEP, by increments of .010. Increasing accuracy past 100% achieves nothing, and may even be seen as lower than "100" by the system. Another thought: The system may not recognize a game object without defined collision points as being capable of damaging another object. Perhaps equipping it with a 5 kg warhead without visiual effects and imbuing it with 3 meter blast radius may help you achieve what you're after
  7. Strange new worlds.....
  8. That's not the worst of it, by far. I've encountered entire platoons of them "goose stepping" across busy roads. Just look at this, they don't even bother to serenade you with a cadence.....
  9. In that case, I have a park full of Canadian drones across the street from my place of work. When we attempted to interrogate them, they simply waddled over to us and responded with a resounding "HONK!"

  13. Russ, That's not good. I do not recommend purchasing a dedicated backup drive, as I've seen too many of them fail. Instead, I urge you to go with an external eSATA/USB HDD dock, such as this one by Thermaltake: http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-BlacX-eSATA-Docking-Station/dp/B001A4HAFS . One can then pick up several inexpensive SATA drives to use as backup media (it even accepts 2.5" notebook drives)
  14. Russ, it needs to swivel and tilt like a AAA gun. Then I can make something for it, sort of like what takes place on this video at 2:17
  15. Perhaps she's auditioning for a new role: "The Slattern From Saturn"

The projected combined casualties were 1.27 million for Kyushu alone, nevermind the remaining home islands. http://www.airforcemag.com/MagazineArchive/Pages/2009/June%202009/0609invasion.aspx
  17. Nah....we should do something sweet for him. Such as, drenching him in honey and burying him up to his chest next to a colony of fire ants or, better yet, in the path of an army ant "raid".
  18. Thanks, guys!

  21. The RCS and heat signature modifier statements have been available in-game for about the last 7 years or so. Marcelo's F-117A was stealthy to within 3 NM of a powerful air-intercept radar. I used the MF F-14B to fine-tune the F-117's RCS statement, and the AIM-9M to tune the heat signature. The only issue is that both are uni-directional, as opposed to aspect specific, values
  22. Yak-141 Flight Model Upgrade View File Yak-41 Upgrade. This package contains an upgraded FM, and an effects package for Gabilon's Yak-41. It does not contain the aircraft itself, which you must have installed FIRST. 23. The GT 620 is your weak link. It is actually less capable than the onboard video on the latest AMD APUs and Intel Haswell CPUs. The following chart compares the previous generation of AMD and Intel onboard solutions. Notice that the GT 620 paired with the AMD A-10 is actually less capable than that same processor when it's using it's embedded video (A-10 5800K).
  24. For a second there, I was expecting you to tell us that you saved a lot on your automobile insurance, but to take advantage of it, you needed to move to Antarctica
  25. I have it from reliable sources that Godzilla never emerged with red anti-fouling paint on his dorsal spines or back. However: The iceberg suspected of having sunk the RMS Titanic. This iceberg was photographed by the chief steward of the liner Prinz Adalbert on the morning of April 15, 1912, just a few miles south of where the “Titanic” went down. The steward hadn't yet heard about the Titanic. What caught his attention was the smear of red paint along the base of the berg, indication that it had collided with a ship sometime in the previous twelve hours. This photo and information was taken from "UNSINKABLE" The Full Story of RMS Titanic written by Daniel Allen Butler, Stackpole Books 1998. Other accounts indicated that there were several icebergs in the vicinity where the TITANIC collided. Source:http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Titanic_iceberg.jpg
