I made a copy of the IsraelME terrain and modified it so that all Egyptian and Jordanian targets are now neutral in order to make a modern version and rid the mission editor screen of unnecessary targets. It all seems to work fine but when I try to fly a mission the loading screen appears and just stays at 0% forever. Anyone know why this is happening? Could it be a NATIONS.ini issue? I'm stumped currently. Thanks

WOW! The F-15 is definitely not a good low altitude airplane, this must have been a bumpy ride for the pilot.

Yeah I'm not a fan of cold water, even The Bay Area water was way too cold for me. I guess a wet suit would help though. Cold air I have no issue with, just put on a jacket!

I noticed recently that when I create a mission using the mission editor that SAM missiles disappear if I make a copy of the mission to fly a different aircraft. The SAM launchers are there but none of then have missiles on them. I have not noticed this before since I just recently started copying missions that I create. The original mission works fine but if I make a copy I get this very strange issue. Any ideas?

I have the same problem, but only in the IR (Iran/Iraq) terrain. I was told it was a Nations.ini issue but that did not fix the problem. Other terrains have Blue side SAMS but in much smaller quantities than the Red side, even with Air Defense set to "HEAVY" for both sides. But at least they work in other terrains. What terrain are you having the problem in?

These images of MiG-15s still serving as frontline fighters sure aren't helping Kim Jong Un make his country look powerful. I wonder if he even thought of this before sharing them with the world?

Yep you can add NEUTRAL. Simply add "Alignment=NEUTRAL" to all swiss target areas and it will keep those targets out of the game.

I thought it might be the Nations but since AAA is working fine I wasn't sure. Thanks for the info I'll look into all of that.

Not sure why I'm having this problem but I can't get SAMS to appear as ground targets in the IR terrain. AAA and EW Radars appear in abundance but no SAMS. Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks

I'm using windows 7 I used ForceDX9=TRUE in the past but read on the forums that it is not applicable with windows 7. I tried ForceDX10 and DX11 set to TRUE but they also didn't help much. Either way turning off the DX10 shaders with the terraineffect edit makes terrains much more pleasant to look at with the far horizon distance. So Overall I'm pleased with the fixes

Well the Nvidia settings helped some, and then a fellow SF2 gamer friend told me to change the Background material effects shader from terfarterraineffect to just terraineffect and this helped with the fading distance enormously! Buildings and water still shimmer but a lot less than they used to. Thanks everyone

Thanks Fubar I'll try this setting in the Nvidia control panel. Wrench, Thanks for the info I haven't really gone into "mainmenu/options/graphics" in quite a while since I had everything set to unlimited last year, and I forgot that's where the shadow options are. If you still want me to post screenshots I can, but it wont show shimmering since it's a still shot of course. The horizon distances I have look just like the first two photos on this thread (http://combatace.com/topic/78531-may-2013-patch-horizon-distance/?hl=%2Bhorizon+%2Bdistance) and I have yet to figure out this issue as well. I have increased Horizon distance enough in the past, but not comparable to pre-May2013 patch level.

Hey everyone thanks for the replies. Fubar, I am using an Nvidia GT330M. It's an older computer and I know this isn't the best graphics card but everything was fine before the patch last year. Sundowner, How do I turn off shadows? Wrench, It happens in all terrains and what exactly does TOD mean? I'll get some screenshots up tomorrow. Thanks guys
