Ok, my apologies for the bad wording, they are not "in the way" but had higher priority from my point of view. So were sort of "ahead" of that plane. -

The way I saw the Hotfix only effects 2 dll files, namely: GraphicsEngineDX10.dll and DisplayManagerDX10.dll, it is related to some effect statement. Further info here: http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB3w/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9536&start=16 page3 - TKs post and page2 - 3rd from bottom. -

Sorry for your loss. There are few file recovery programs that might able to salvage most of your work from total loss, give a shot to them. I usually use "Active file recovery", does work but most of the time not 100% recoverable the system. And you can recover the files to a selected location, even if some of the files are damaged you will be able to see what lods, inis, etc you had there. -

If the first stays as it is the 2nd value should be fine in the range of 30-40k slug/ft2 and the 3rd value should be range in 200-230k slug/ft2. value of 1million should definitely show up on handling in certain maneuvers. But I'm not an aero engeneer, just a bystander. -

Flogger mostly meant perpendicular to the given surface so the objects look straight, see the attached pic (though it is from a viggen). The angled shots are great for make perfect 3d model but for skinning guys that is not so good. Hope it helps. logan4 -

Strange, the data.ini is set the way that even if you have nothing AHM related in the loadout.ini through the loadout screen you can still select AHM-s for all 6 wing weapon stations. For the ease of work add the bellow to your mig-29_loadout.ini, respectively after the already existing air2air and air2airLongR entries. This will enable auto loading of the missiles. Please note that these missiles are available from 1997 onward not before. [AirToAir_AHM] StartDefaultDate=1997 DefaultFor=CAP,INTERCEPT Loadout[01].WeaponType=Mig-29_CFT Loadout[01].Quantity=1 Loadout[08].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29 Loadout[08].Quantity=1 Loadout[09].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29 Loadout[09].Quantity=1 Loadout[12].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29 Loadout[12].Quantity=1 Loadout[13].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29 Loadout[13].Quantity=1 Loadout[20].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29 Loadout[20].Quantity=1 Loadout[21].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29 Loadout[21].Quantity=1 [AirToAirLongRange_AHM] StartDefaultDate=1997 DefaultFor=SWEEP,ESCORT Loadout[01].WeaponType=Mig-29_CFT Loadout[01].Quantity=1 Loadout[08].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29 Loadout[08].Quantity=1 Loadout[09].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29 Loadout[09].Quantity=1 Loadout[16].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29 Loadout[16].Quantity=1 Loadout[17].WeaponType=R-77 Mig29 Loadout[17].Quantity=1 Loadout[20].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29 Loadout[20].Quantity=1 Loadout[21].WeaponType=R-73 Mig29 Loadout[21].Quantity=1 When you edit loadout files, you have to change also the station id numbers. For example Loadout[08] means stationID08, if you check the normal air2airlong range entry you see that on the same place it says Loadout[04], but station 4 can not use the r77 mig29 specific station code missiles as those are set for R27 so the need for change to station8. In case some loadout file doesn't lists the individual stations and what they carry, then you can find the info in the AC's_data.ini. -
Su-15 Lights

That is done via a text edit of the RadarTrack values in the aircraft's _data.ini and _avionics.ini They seem close to correct for me. The weapons editor does not work on aircraft files. And as Wrench said most released missiles are OK. -

@Skynight. You can fix the black anabs both R98T and R98MT by renaming the bmp files in their respective folders to aa-3.bmp as that is what the .lod is looking for. -

My try at 3D objects

In case you did not find it it is the 3rd button in the toolbar on the top left, called "Select and link" right next to the "redo" button. Select a mesh and with a held down left mouse button pull the cursor over the appropriate mesh you want to link it, if it senses an object that could be linked to then it turns into a (double)square cursor. Depending on if you use wireframe view then over to one of the lines of the given mesh. Then continue with the next, linking goes from child-to-parent object. But you probably knew that already. -
It is hard to say exactly that what caused the problem. Without proper duplicate of the same errors we lose the way to confirm it. A clean install many times helps/helped on problems that can't/couldn't be nailed down. Very possible what paulopanz wrote for you is correct. For me the model worked right out of the box without doing any modification. Sometimes RL come in the way answer right away, patience is a virtue.

If that is the 141, the lod calls for all of the skin files what you have, in sequence -1.bmp,-3.bmp,-2.bmp,-4.bmp,-crystal.tga and -hud.tga. Some mesh must be using the -3.bmp otherwise that would be not listed in the lod. To change which mesh calls for which texture file unfortunately is not known by me, I lack that kind of knowledge since there is no out file with the model. But can be tested by using an even (like red) color skin texture with the same name, that way in game you can see what mesh uses it. Unless someone has that special knowledge or lod coding I'm affraid only the creator of the max model can change it. Edit: OK I see your pain..
