The german MiG-29 pilots used only for a short time the soviet helmet and changed later to the NATO style helmet. Interesstingly the most pilots said, that the soviet helmet was the better one.

Soviet MiG-15 pilots of Korean War told, that they often pulled their MiG's with more than 5g and the americans were easily following them. So a 5g limit is not believeable.

If i remember correctly a stock terrain has the size of 1000x1000km. To skin the terrain you must merge the tilesets of Desert, GermanyCE, IsraelME and VietnamSEA. Its an immensive job. But more terrible will be the tiling. You will not be able to use the autotile function of FE for the entire terrain. Autotile is working by the height level of the terrain. You say to the TE: "all terrain from 0m - 100m get tiles of kind A, from 101 - 500 get tiles kind B, from 501 - 3000 tiles of kind C and 3001- 9000 tiles of kind D" The problem is, that the tiles of kind A in Europe looks different from the tiles of the same height level needed in SEA or desert areas. So you are forced to place all not fitting tiles by hand. And this will be surely some 10.000 or 100.000.

It the german command would had followed the Schlieffenplan by all means the history could have been a different. But they made a version of this plan, a "Schlieffen light" with much to few troops on the right flank, so that an encircling of Paris was impossible from beginning. The main idea of Schlieffenplan was the encircling of the french capital and finaly the encirling of the advancing french troops in south Germany. Schlieffens idea to scrifice Bavaria if neccessary was not loved by the south german Kings and so the plan was changed after Schlieffens dead in that kind, that the defensive flank in the Vogesen mountains was made stronger. This was successfull. The french were unable to reach the Rhine valley. The german forces were able to stop them on the last hills, like Hartmannsweilerkopf. But the troops which now fought in the Vogesen were missed on the offensive right flank. More bad was, that troops were removed from the offensive flank of the Westfront to stop the unexpected early russian offensive operation against Ostpreussen (East Prussia). But finaly this troops came to late to take part to fight the russian invasion in the battle of Tannenberg and in the west they were also not available. Bad missmanagement caused by panic in HQ. This was deciding of the war.

I dont think that it will be taken into the US Army. The reason is the agreement between USAF and Army, that all air vehicles which can reach a certain speed have to be operate by the USAF and not by the Army. The Cheyenne design was more or less similar and was finaly sacrificed, because the resistance of the USAF lobby was to hard.

The game engine does not allowed such wormhole thing.

Do you enjoy long, long, long, boring missions? As bigger the terrain as thinner the target areas are placed. Between them a lot of empty space. Then the problem of terrain warp. This makes the relations of the distances very uncorrect. While areas near the equator are relativly correct the areas near the pol becomes a massive warp. The world is a sphere, but in TE it is a flat thing.

If you live in a country with 200 million or with 50 million inhabitants i will agree with you. But there are a lot of countries which are much smaller. Take the baltic states for instance. For such small countries a heavy loss of young women would have tremendous effects for the development of the population.

That the syrian air defence is worth the money we have seen last year, when they had blown a turkish F-4E from sky. And this Phantom had had a very modern jammer system on board. So the Raptor is the best choice for operations over Syria. More cheaper it would be to make a telephone call to Assad.

In SF2 the terrain is black if you dont has the correct tiles for the terrain. In WoX it is white.

A woman can do nearly all things which a man can do, some things they can do better. Perhaps not pee while standing ;-) But there is only one good reason not to bring women into combat units. Its a biological reason. Young women are biologically to valuable, because they are biologically inefficient. What does it mean? A comparision. How many children will you get if you couple one man and 100 women in one year? If all went good a little bit over 100. But how many children you will get if you couple one women with 100 men? 1 perhaps 2. Thatswhy a people can endure the loss of a lot of young men, but not the loss of a lot of young women without to risk the own future. Its a simple question of reproduction. I know this sounds technically, but this is the only reason to deny women to serve in combat units. We need them to save the future.

The problem is not the money. The problem is a oversized bureaucracy which is closely linked to the industry and is feeding monopolies. EADS can do what it want, delays of years in delivery of planes and helicopters, quality problems, not reaching of performance of weapons systems ... My old plattoon leader had a fine proverb for such situations: "Man kann gar nicht soviel fressen, wie man kotzen möchte!", "You can't eat as much as you want to puke."
