    Bei der Skyhawk setz einfach die Kanonenmunition auf 0. Dann ballert die Skyhawk auch nicht mehr. Sollte in etwa so aussehen: [LeftGun] SystemType=FIXED_GUN GunTypeName=20MM_Mk12 InputName=FIRE_PRIMARY_GUN MuzzlePosition=-0.55,4.08,-0.58 LightPosition= -0.55,4.08,-0.58 MaxAmmo=0 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Die Zeile EjectShells=TRUE EjectPosition=-0.55,2.41,-0.71 EjectVelocity=0.0,0.0,-2.0 MinExtentPosition=-0.41, 1.96,-0.45 MaxExtentPosition=-0.66, 4.11,-0.68 [RightGun] SystemType=FIXED_GUN GunTypeName=20MM_Mk12 InputName=FIRE_PRIMARY_GUN MuzzlePosition=0.55,4.23,-0.58 LightPosition= 0.55,4.23,-0.58 MaxAmmo=0 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Die Zeile EjectShells=TRUE EjectPosition=0.55,2.56,-0.71 EjectVelocity= 0.0,0.0,-2.0 MinExtentPosition= 0.41, 1.96,-0.45 MaxExtentPosition= 0.66, 4.11,-0.68
  3. Quick and dirty solution If you have no desert airfields, then try to use the airfields of WOV. Open the file Battle of Britain_targets.ini with Notepad Editor. press CTRL+H look for DESERT_AIRFIELD and replace it with VIETNAMSEA_AIRFIELD save the file and try it again. Could work.
  4. I agree with your prediction in the most cases. Only in the last row i have a different idea: Belgium : USA i would vote for Belgium.
  5. Free hunt missions, in NATO slang CAP was a very common mission type of the soviet fighter units in WW2. The soviet fighter pilots may not have had the same high scores as the germans, but they had higher scores than the british and american fighter pilots. And even in Korea the soviet top scorers had more kills than the american top scorers. The skin of a MiG-15 is thin aluminium. There is nothing for a bullit to bounce. In contrary, the 12.7mm bullits penetrated easily the skin of a MiG-15, but the damage inside the plane was minimal. So a MiG-15 could easily "eat" 40 or 50 rounds. The most number of survived hits was over 200. The only chance to kill a MiG-15 with one or two bullits was to hit the pilot. Here two pictures which show the different destruction power of the guns Here a F-86F hit by one 23mm shell. Pilot R.J. Dixon 1953 Here a MiG-15bis hit by a couple of shells. I have counted 19. It could be more.
  6. Soviet B-24 seems to be more real than you think.
  7. Big die of favorits. Spain, England, Italy. Who's next?
  8. (source FAZ http://www.faz.net/aktuell/politik/inland/eurofighter-kollidiert-mit-learjet-mindestens-ein-toter-bei-uebung-der-luftwaffe-13005527.html) During an air intercept training mission one of two Eurofighters collided with a private Learjet at an alttitute between 3 and 5 km. The Learjet played the role of a civil jet which had lost of communication and a pilot with no idea where he is. Target of the exercise was to intercept the Learjet, make visuell ID, make visuell contact and guid the civil jet to the next airfield. During the exercise one Eurofighter touched the Learjet. The Learjet crashed, both crew mebmbers died. The Eurofighter is reported to be heavily damaged, but the pilot is unharmed. Its also said, that the pilots in all planes were high skilled with a good training status.
  9. The 10:1 myth was born by journalists who were unable to read a statistic carefully. If you look to the official 792 to 78 kill rate then try to find the dates of the timeframe of data. It starts in March or April 1952 when the best and most successfull soviet fighter units were replaced by second line air defence units. What means that a lot of MiG-15 scores were not counted by the USA statistic. The other fact is the strange kind of kill counting by the US Air Force. A kill was credited if the gun camera showed 6 hits with a 12.7mm machine gun. In the last month of the war the number of "needed hits" to confirm a kill was decreased to 2. A MiG-15 survied easily 6 hits. On the other side a loss was only an air to air loss if the US plane made a crash on battlefield. If a wounded Sabre was lost on way home, so this loss was counted as caused by technical failure. If it run out of fuel because the tanks were ruptured by MiG fire so it was counted not as loss caused by MiG-15, but as lost caused by run out of fuel. The us Forces were very creative to find other solutions for a loss. My favorit is "collision with unknown object".
  10. Nice picture. But i'm afraid that it is photoshoped.
  11. To be a little bit provocative: Would it be truely a problem if the Iraq would break into 3 parts? This state is artificial. It was built by the british on the green table after the Versailles Treaty in 1919 or 1920 or so. Why not have a Kurdish state, a sunni and a shia state?
  12. The 30mm armament of the Me-262 was neccessary to kill heavy bombers. The 20mm guns of this timeframe were not efficient enough to do this job. It happend to often, that german fighters hit US heavies with a lot of 20mm rounds, but the attacked plane survived. IIRC there were 20 to 30 hits with 20mm guns neccessary to kill a B-17 or B-24 in average. With 30mm guns only 3 or 4 kills had done the job. Today the 30mm is the caliber which the most fighter aircraft building nations use. Only the USA are still using 20mm spray and pray guns. Britain, France, Russia, China. All use 30mm guns.
  13. Because their name are Müller, Özil and Götze. The letters ö, ü, ä are not available all over the world. Thatswhy they are replaced by oe, ue and ae. Looks a little bit strange, but is more or less correct.
  14. Yep. Portugal was disappointing. A weak opponent. 4:0.
  15. With patch 9.1 out on european server we have now a new funny game mod for the time of the football worldcup. Its panzer soccer! Crazy, riddiculus, but extremly funny. The developer must have to much of vodka while developing it. Its crazy!
  16. Cool game Netherlands! The "best" argument who will be the next world champion i have heared in a comedy show: It will be England! Why? Because history is repeating. In 1966 Real Madrid won the UEFA cup of Champions (today Championsleague). In 2014 too. In 1966 Austria won the Grand Prix de la Eurovision (today European Song Contest). In 2014 too. And In 1966 England won the World Cup. So it will be in 2014. Its logical?
  17. Samara and Tikrit are retaken by the Iraqi Army. Kirkuk is in the hands of the kurdish Peshmerga. The shia is mobilizing their forces. The advance of ISIS was caused by surprising the enemy. But the first shock is over. ISIS was beaten by Assad and will be beaten by the Iraqi Army. Its only a question of time. Be a little bit more patient. War is no TV show with 45minutes intervalls. It needs time. And by the way, the 30 year war was a religion war on german soil with german troops on both sides, french and swiss on catolic and swedish on evengelic side.
  18. North of Bagdad is sunni land. Bagdad and south of Bagdad is shia land. It will need some days till the shia tribes will have their combat strenght.
  19. For me the ISIS run to Bagdad is i sign of weakness. ISIS troops fought in Syria against Assad and were beaten. Now they try to look for a weaker victim. Their advance is on the first view impressive, But if you look on the map, then their success is limited to sunnitish areas. In the north of Iraq the kurdish Peshmerga is fighting successfully against the sunni ISIS and with every step to the south the shia dominated areas become closer and so the resistance will increase. What we see in the moment is a reload of the 30 year war on german soil between 1618 and1648. Its a religion war between the fractions of islam.
  20. It depends on the targets which are available in a Target area. SAM or Flak (AAA) are set as Targettype in terrain_types.ini as air defence assets and so they become available for SEAD. For instance: [TargetType042] Name=SAMRadar FullName=SAM Site TargetType=SAM_RADAR <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< this line UseGroundObject=TRUE ActiveYear=1965 TargetValue=200 RepairRate=0.555 StartDetectChance=80 StartIdentifiedChance=20 IncreaseDetectChanceKey=10 MaxVisibleDist=8000.0 DestroyedEffect=SmallRocketGroundExplosion SecondaryEffect=VehicleFireEffect SecondaryChance=50 [TargetType043] Name=SAMLauncher FullName=SAM Site TargetType=SAM_LAUNCHER <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< this line. UseGroundObject=TRUE ActiveYear=1965 TargetValue=100 RepairRate=0.555 StartDetectChance=20 StartIdentifiedChance=0 IncreaseDetectChanceKey=0 MaxVisibleDist=8000.0 DestroyedEffect=SmallRocketGroundExplosion SecondaryEffect=VehicleFireEffect SecondaryChance=50

  24. View File MiG-17K and KP carrier borne fighters MiG-17K and MiG-17KP Soviet Navy carrierborne fighters (What if) v1.1 ***************************************************** This mod is made for SF2NA. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. History In 1946 the UK had a lot of major problems. It suffered high losses during WW2 and war damages all over the country were significant. The industry layed down and a lot of war depts pressed the economy further. On the other hand the Royal Navy had a lot of ships which were not neccessary anymore. So it was decided to sell some major ships, including aircraft carriers. So the HMS Colossus was sold to France, the HMS Warrior went to Canada. The Netherlands wanted to buy the Venerable and Australia was interessted in the Venegance. 1946 the Soviet Union showed their wish to buy 3 carriers of the Colossus class and offered a price of 50tons of fine gold. So the last 3 carriers of the Colossus class, the Theseus, Triumph and Perseus were handed over to the Soviet Sea War Fleet and became the names TAKR Odessa, TAKR Kronstadt and TAKR Sewastopol. Odessa and Kronstadt were operated by the Northern Fleet, while the Sewastopol was operated by the Baltic fleet for 6 years. In 1952 all carriers were sent back to Navy wharfs to refit them with an angle deck. the blueprints of this innovative design was stolen by the Cambridge Five. In 1955 the Odessa became operational again The Kronstadt followed one year later and the Sewastopol reentered the service in 1957. All 3 carriers were used till mid 70th. After refit with angle deck the MiG-17 became the core of the Odessa flight group. The MiG-17K was developed from the MiG-17F and was used for daylight operations and in the air to ground role. For bad weather and night operations the MiG-17KP was developed from the MiG-17PF. In 1967 both types were updated to carry the AA-2 Atoll (R-3S) missile. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II.
