Just a thought. How about renaming this thread the Superhornet skins thread so anyone working on a skin or who wants to comment can join in? Then we wont get clogged up with multiple F\A-18F skin threads. -

4 planes and 11 skins! Fantastic work guys. Well done. -
Great stuff Kevin. Now I'm going to have to have a CBI install in addition to my PTO one! (And I'm still trying to put together an Ostfront one in anticipation of the terrains that are being worked on!) BTW - Specific planeset? Is that the list or required planes for Baltika's mod or something else I'm missing in the seldom visited KB?

May be a stupid question
allenjb42 replied to pablo10692's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
If you make the snow camo the first textureset in the list in the plane's .ini file then the game should pick that one as the default. -

allenjb42 replied to Rambler 1-1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Ok - I asked Capun on his forum to advise what needs changing on He-111H2 (and the other versions) to bring them in line with the H5, H6 and P versions he's got out. I took the H6 and P out for a run in my BoB install. Just a two ship test flight, although the game gave us an escort of 109s. While they were partying with a load of Spitfires a flight of Hurricanes engaged us. I kept us straight and level so we would take the maximum damage. They were just Mk1s but they blew the cr*p out of us! There were chunks flying off both planes. My wingie in the He-111P went down in a graceful glide and exploded on impact. I tried to belly land because my undercarraige had been shot away. I bumped for a bit and then blew up too. -

allenjb42 replied to Rambler 1-1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Capun recently updated the He-111H6, on which all of the other Heinkels are based. I've not used it yet, but it's supposed to make that one more destroyable. If someone lets me know what he changed I'll update the other versions here and at his site. I think that there was some discussion on this in the BoB campaign thread a few months ago. -
Never mind just one female pilot. How about a whole squadron of them? It could be In Like Flint. But with planes!

http://entertainment.uk.msn.com/movies/new...umentid=8959156 We've gotta have some casting thoughts for the "cocky new female pilot.".....

View File Mi-24 Uzbekistan Strike Fighters/Wings Over Vietnam/Wings Over Europe etc Mi-24 skins readme All credit for these skins goes to their creators as detailed below. All I've done is to re-format them for SF\WOV\WOE and add a textureSet to each skin. Not all of the countries for which we have skins are included in the standard NATIONS.ini list, so I've left those as Soviet. It doesn't make any difference to the skins' appearance as there are no decals to worry about. If you have the New Nations mod that includes these missing countries then feel free to modify the relevant TextureSet. All you need to do is to extract the skin to your Objects\Aircraft\Mi-24 folder, then go fly and blow up some stuff. Thanks must go to the A Team for making the Mi-24 for SF\WOV\WOE, Tim Conrad for the original Mi-24V, and of course TK for giving us these great sims to play with. This skin is based on Mike Pearson's textures and converted with his kind permission. Enjoy, and good hunting Allen ps You can use these skins in any mods, campaigns etc, but please name check me and the original skinners in your credits as a courtesy.
