  1. Okay does this mean that the Hairdressers cup final is now over ??? And I can come out of my server room without being hounded by Hairdresser fanatics ???
  2. One word Outstanding...!!! :clapping:
  3. To be honest the last thing I usually read is the readme... and if we are all honest we have all done it at some point... Its a Bloke thing... we all have a habit of reading the instructions last...
  4. Sir Winston Churchill provided the right words which even today sound correct...
  5. With the release of TMF´s F-14 Tomcat I thought I would pose this question. Okay I dont mean technical ability and I have not included the Super Bug as to my mind it is not a Teen Series fighter... What I mean is your favourite out of the ones listed as to be honest there are only 4 anyway. For me it has to be and always has been Tom´s Cat... Simply because it looks so damn good even in Turkey mode i.e. Landing on a carrier and it was so technically advanced over anything else just let down by its engines...
  6. That skin does look good...
  7. Happy Birthday
  8. G'day again... 2 Sorties. First the good news Lt Smithson it turns out took an early bath and got out before his jet peeled into the sea... Sortie One. Strike on a Fort 2 A-4G Mk-82 Snakeyes 2 Aim-9B Centre Tank Take off was nice and smooth but far too early in the morning for my liking... But a few snorts of Oxygen cleared the old noggin... Anyway one in the air we settled on our longest flight yet. No approaching across the beach in and out style we went for the enter from inland move. Anyway the flight was so quiet I nearly fell asleep... We even had a flight of Mirages to cover for us!!! Anyway target area came up went in dropped my 6 Snakeye´s and got outta there my wingie dropped shortly after me and we flattened the place!!! Both jets came home successfully to find that Lt Smithson was propping up the bar in medical rather well. Oh I got my promotion to Sub-Lt. Sortie Two. Intercept 2 A-4G 4 Aim-9H (We got a resupply today with these new toys) We got pulled from another strike sortie and placed on Alert 5 expecting nothing but so far nothing is not happening. After waiting 45 minutes we got the launch order so off we went. Take off and join-up in 3 minutes not bad... I thought anyway. GCI direct and we realised that the Indos are using their Sabres for attack now. Anyway we went buster in other words 520knots at 10000ft after them we caught them and they where cruising along at 1500ft or so and nicely painted against the sea so we rocketed down at them and I fired my first sidewinder at a mile and it looked good but the tracking went on it and it went aimless... The Sabre though had a meeting with a quick burst of 20mm and down he went. My wingie at this point was between a rock and a hard place he was chasing a Sabre with one chasing him and too far for me to get with my guns so I advised him I would fire a sidewinder. I got a perfect track and the rear Sabre lost his rear end and the front Sabre had a few problems with 20mm shattering a wing... thats 3 down wheres the last one... OH FECK coming straight at me firing his guns I returned fire and this time he got lucky and I didnt blew the tail off my Jet and down I went managed to eject before the jet went into a flat spin... and Today I took an early bath. The rescue chopper got to me about an hour later only to find that they had another pilot on board they had picked up the Rear Sabre driver... back to the Ship and he went off to the brig and I went to join Lt Smithson in Medical for the medicinal brandy. Apart from leaving work early today I was okay...
  9. My condolences on your loss...

  12. G´day Bruces and Sheilas Well another 2 sorties... First sortie Airfield Strike to take out the control tower. 2 A-4G load with Mk-82 Snakeyes (1 Jet) Mk-20 Rockeyes (1 Jet) 2 AGM-45 (1 Jet) Rocket Pods Briefed that we would be covered by a Flak Suppression flight and they give me a pair of Shrikes do the upper ups know more than they are saying anyway we are 60 miles off shore for this task so fuel will not be a major issue. Both jets are heavy on ordnance. Take off into the clear blue sky was easy enough headed in over land to attack from a different direction from the flak suppressors. Popped of a mountain ridge and was painted by a Radar so I fired a Shrike and got a hit out of it turned out to be a Bar-lock radar. Ordered my wingman to take out the ZSU-57 protecting the tower while I bomb the tower. Wingie takes out the gun with rockets while I place 2 Snakeyes into the building and join the demolition club with some style... we then both go to town on the Airbase as the Flak suppressors turn up and start subduing the guns I fire my last shrike at a ZSU-23 dont want to tangle with a shilka if I can help it. After rocketing, bombing and a strafing we both head for home undamaged... The base was burning fiercly even what looked like a Museum setup of 3 P-51´s... Successful sortie all round. Oh looks like I am now a Member of the British Empire... bloody pommies Sortie 2 for the day... Lt Smithson was shot down ... 4 A-4G 2 Sidewinders each Ordered to intercept a flight of bombers turns out the bombers where 8 T-33´s I managed to bag one with a Sidewinder when 8 Sabres come down out of the Sun no warning but their first pass was a bad one and turns out they lost their leader as one of the Sabres pancaked into the sea at about 700 knots or so!!! Anyway after that it was shoot at anything our advantage was that the T-33 wanted to try and kill us as well !!! Now its getting dangerousmy wingie cleared my tail with a good Sidewinder shot taking a Sabre out of the fight. I latch on and get a quick burst off and hit a T-33 knocking him out of the sky as the fight drags over land and the local Army chaps get in on the act which made it interesting as they fired 2 Bloodhound missiles and each one bagged a T-33!!! The fight went back out to see where I fired my remaining sidewinder which decided it didnt want to explode so it went for a trip elsewhere... My wingie then nailed another Sabre with guns... While I was dealing with another Sabre which dutifully died... It was about this time 3 Sabres had ganged up on Smithson and shot him down... I went after one Sabre got him dead to rights pulled the trigger and all I heard was the dead mans click... I was out of ammo and missiles we forced the Sabres and T-33´s after us over the army base again to give them some more target practice... but they declined and turned for home... So we did the same minus one Lt Smithson ...
  13. The Earth is Flat!!! Depends on how many B-52´s are trying to take off at once...
  14. Thats been on the books for a few years and as they are mounted in a sub it means that no-one is sure if they are off their shores or not...
  15. Okay quick one for you after a rather drawn out debacle with Intel chip sets going back 12 years 7 months 5 days... yeah it was messy... I have always used AMD and ATI video cards as I have found them to be great quality and to be honest a better chipset... I will be replacing my games rig in about 4 months time Chrsitmas present to ME!!! and plan to put in one of the new AMD Xenon chips. I have had no problems playing OFF granted I play with most settings on 4 and one on 5 as per the advice in a sticky and it has always flown marvellous... apart from said pilot is having a bad ground to air interface... or is weighed down by too much kraut lead, you know that stuff is heavy man... Anyway my next rig is AMD and ATI and I will not worry at all about it... Thats my advice also remember that its single clock speed that OFF requires...
  16. I have all mine seperate but thats because of the way I purchased them. But when I build my next PC I will still be going down the seperate install route simply because it makes it easier to mod...
  17. It simple dont do the crime... so you dont do the time... And for the crime all she had to do was not drink alcohol now seriously how hard is that???
  18. I love the third comment down... Did he Sparkle... Whatever next ??? As to the Taxman being a Vampire thats a myth he is the Devils accountant...
  19. Been 3 weeks since any decent flying that I seem to be on fire tonight 2 more sorties... G´day again... Cap 4 A-4G 4 Sidewinders G Models Okay now it gets fun... Those pesky Migs which I had problems with earlier well we got the chance for some payback... we where sent to patrol over some friendly shipping and 4 Mig-21s come cruising out at 5000ft and where up at 15000ft when the Radar guys give us the steers perfect, right onto them. The Migs came up and we went down he went that way I went this way oops no hand signals on the text... Anyway Mig 1 went down in a face to face shoot out he was trying to gun me and me him and I got lucky took his port wing off and out he pops to get a view of the dogfight around him. Number 3 shouts out hes got one... and I clear number 4´s tail so thats 3 the fourth though took some time to take down but he died as I put the last of my gun rounds into his cockpit game over we checked out the ships and headed for home... After we land the boss drags me in again oh sh!t what did I do this time... Turns out I get the Distingushed Service Cross... 3 Sorties in and I have all the medals I will ever need... Sortie 2... Strike 2 A-4Gs Mk-82 Aim-9B Our orders are to hit a runway so off we go again. This time our major threat was ground fire as we had no suppression guys with us... You know the USN sends 60 jets of 1 Carrier and all we have is 18 for everything!!! Anyway I go in to drop and nothing comes off the bird but number 2 drops his bombs across the runway. So I turn back for another run diagonal though and overshoot but I take out a whole bunch of helo´s on the pan so at least they didn´t go to waste... Then it was time to head home for a few cold ones before tomorrow...
  20. My apologies for not updating this unfortunately due to my lovely work sending me abroad... I dont mind its Vienna I will be putting this on hold as I still havn´t mastered modding... but I will hopefully resurrect it in a few months if not early next year... Though she does look nice...
  21. Yes!!!! :drinks: :drinks: :ok: :ok:      Okay I am happy now she is a beauty you can keep your electric jets unless its a Tomcat... There is something about the tin triangle that just looks so right its a crime...
  22. G´day again... 2 A-4G Rockets Rockeyes and 2 Aim-9B´s the last ones why dont ask me... Well after that taster... straight in to do some ground work... me and my wingie where tasked with Flak Suppression... Not my favourite I will admit but hey someone has to do it might as well get on with it and enjoy it... Anyways take off and form up which was nice and smooth nice clear skies with not a lot to worry about. The advantage on the roll in was we had a hill to cover our approach... Climb up and dive over 3 miles downstream hit the guns and out... Oh the best laid plans and all that... coasted in at 500ft staying out of the way of Mr SAM... this was followed by some screaming round the mountains... with my wingie singing "She´ll be coming round the mountains when she comes Yeeehaaaa..." Anyway shortly after this we realised we where now a 4 ship!!! Now how did that happen??? The glint of silver gave them away they where Mig-21s... They where looking good I will say with the red flash down the fuselage... The second of the pair dropped back and fired an Atoll at me which I evaded easily and my wingman took exception by dropping his air to ground ordnance and taking off after the Mig-21 still singing his head off... Thus the Migs distracted allowed me to get back to job in hand and I screamed over the last mountain 500knots 500ft and prepared to drop my rockeyes followed by a follow up with rockets and guns... rockeyes came off silencing a twin 23mm and a large calibre gun all the while there was smaller tracers flying about... away I screamed round another mountain and to attack from a different direction only one problem I was up against 3 multi barrelled guns and a couple of large calibre guns hey ho... in we go... Went in firing my rockets hitting a everything else but the guns who hit me a few times but the jet was still flying no red lights up and over and unleash the last of my rockets killing a big gun and got hit again by the small guns as I silenced one of the smaller guns... My wingman was on his way home so I decided to follow out of ammo and with a shot up bird... when one of the earlier Migs came to play only one thing for it take him on a tour of the mountains at low level and high speed. He got the message and went home, I couldnt turn fast enough to fire a Sidewinder so I brought them back to the boat... 20 holes in my Jet!!! from 14.5mm and 23mm Oh and the boss thought it might be a good idea to get me a medal... One times Distingushed Service Cross and they pay me to do this I am trying to work out who gets the better deal!!!
  23. I think its going to have to be a night of Mel Brooks films at some point in the next week after that... May the Schwarz be with you...
  24. Damn thats the show I really wanted to get to this year... but job of a lifetime and all that has made a mess of a few of my plans... Nice pic though of the Typhoon... Was the Vulcan there ??? If so I hope you took some photos of her...
  25. G´day Bruces and Sheilas, Well its a new campaign now that I have retrograded back to SFG/WOE as my laptop has some problems with SF2 e.g. not enough room on the hard drive... So I have decided on a Campaign with a Difference I am using the rather interesting but nevertheless excellent Timor Mod from A-Team Skunkworks... Pilot is Bruce "Bush" Arnold RAN flying A-4Gs of HMAS Melbourne 805 Squadron 1975. Midshipman Bruce has been welcomed aboard the old Girl. After my first Carrier Quals we had been at see about a week when we where advised that Timor had been invaded and that we along with others of course where to go to her aid. The enemy was Indonesia who had a formidable array of weapons to throw at us from Badger bombers to Mig-21 fighters along with SAM´s. Anyway the Admiral advised that from this date on we would have a 4 ship cap above us at all times. I drew the lunch time slot and dutifully took off about 45 minutes into the flight we where advised that we had 2 inbounds at 25000ft doing 320knots... We where directed to intercept and as you could imagine 100 miles to intercept wondering what you may come up against. Our targets turned out to be a pair of Badger bombers who as soon as we came within one mile opened fire on us which could have ruined my day as I was the unlucky one to do the close inspection and I was just reaching down for my camera to photo them for the int boys!!! Instead I switched the Master Arm on and fired my guns as the 2 sidewinders would have taken too much time to heat up so to speak... I got lucky hitting the lead Badger with 20mm and watching it then tumble from the sky... the other Badger was lucky we all fired at it from long range with Sidewinders as the Badger was spewing out 23mm everywhere... not safe to get within a mile I was thinking... Anyway after the Sidewinders where fired we where ordered back to base as all of us where near bingo fuel. So here I am a shiny thing and I am the only one with a kill!! Turns out the other Badger was intercepted by the RAAF in their go faster jets Mirage III to everyone else... So looks like its going to get warm out here East of Timor...
