  1. I think for the Canberra it was designed to go in at high level at near as not full throttle. Unfortunately the SF series doesnt allow it to be used correctly as it was found like the Vulcan to be almost as manouverable as a fighter at 40000ft+ embarrassed a lot of Hunter pilots Javelin and Lightning fighters up there. Problem is they just fly straight and level and thats it nothing more. I did have a modded campaign on my old PC so that I could fly a campaign as a Canberra though I usually flew alone I normally went up past to 40000ft and if I picked up a fighter I would generally out-manouver him until he ran out of fuel and went home as the Canberra has buckets and buckets of fuel and the fighter would generally burn his fuel just getting up to me. Dealing with Mr SAM was a different proposition I lost a few to SAM's as no ECM or countermeasures onboard I was tempted to mod it to include Chaff at least. If flown correctly it can survive but SF cannot fly it correctly IMHO.
  2. I will think about it when or if it happens... Though from that preview video it doesn't look too bad... But and here's the big one will it work correctly ?
  3. You might need to run in Admin mode or in XP Mode... as sometimes Win7 causes this issue.
  4. http://www.sinn-frei.com/ice-age-4-trailer_14278.htm Laugh I fell out of my seat... I knew that squirrel was responsible...
  5. At least they know how they got their beating now... Reminds me of the old joke... Why has the French Navy got glass bottomed boats ??? To see the rest of their navy... Sorry being an Englishman does that sort of thing...

  7. For all those shot down my Mig-17's you can now do the shooting instead... well thats if you survive the barrage of AAM's coming your way...

  10. Must admit I for one would welcome it as even though I spent 10 years and 30 years studying weapons etc I get confused at times... Age is catching up to me again... its embarassing when you load a training weapon and find yourself in a perfect situation and . dont ask was having a bad day in the virtual office... Smoke rockets against Tanks I was fast fac'ing myself... As to the nukes... we gotta keep them there good for fighting off winter bit of instant sunshine doesn't hurt anyone well not too much...
  11. Sundowner great overhead shot... and as to the Machloop looks so much like it apart from there are no Farmers complaining with shotguns and no hillwalkers ducking... Can tell Ravens a Rhino phreak...
  12. The 500Ltr supersonic tanks on the Mirage are non-droppable as they don't cause problems for the aircraft. So the tanks staying on the aircraft is correct.
  13. Happy Birthday...
  14. Must admit I am still flying the Sopwith Strutter and against the early types I generally get into turning fights which against the Einnie is fairly straightforward for the newer types though it gets more interesting as I have to calculate on if I can take my opponent in one pass but I generally go wagon wheel and hope the rear gunner gets lucky but I seem to be able to turn inside most of the fighters around so thats what I do... other times I will attempt to dive away and hedge hop...
  15. Amazing that they all survived...
  16. There is a traditional Scottish answer to the question "What is a haggis?" This answer suggests that a haggis is a small four legged creature found in the Highlands of Scotland. The legs on one side of the creature are smaller than those on the other, which means that it can run around the side of hills easily at a level altitude: but it does mean that the haggis can easily be caught by running round the hill in the opposite direction, for the creature cannot turn round to escape. If it did so the difference in the length of its legs would cause it to lose stability and roll downhill, with fatal consequences.
  17. Life that thing that screws you up occasionally...

  18. Landing the Harrier I will only say this practice practice practice... then practice some more... gives an idea
  19. With the nukes as above they are impressive I rarely take screenies so I cannot help you but the effect is you drop a nuke on an airbase and no more airbase... you get the flash and mushroom cloud etc...
  20. Must admit I have been using the site for nearl 10 years... and I have only had one corrupted file and that was due to my one fault. Did you follow the advice which is provided when you go to download a file?
  21. Incorrect the Swordfish attack was successful and only 5 where damaged but they all made it back to the Ark Royal... The attack your thinking of Uncleal was the attack on Scharnhorst Gneisenau and Prinz Eugen when 6 Swordfish attacked them in the English channel and all where shot down.
  22. Happy Birthday
  23. Okay who brought up the pointy eared green goblin... Star wars is much more fun because its dirty... And me I want simulation no arcade I want the balance between the 2 instead of something that looks drop dead gorgeous... Its like a girlfriend I want an attractive one with the brains not the drop dead gorgeous one with the airhead... The airhead is fun for a quick night out but the attractive one is the one you keep...
  24. Maybe we should pool together and buy the land... build a WW1 Airfield and cause havoc...
