1/72... probably the best scale ever. I vote for the Warhawk as the first one.

I had tried to look here before, trying to avoid annoying peoples. In fact, the RCLR was installed on a tripod directly in the cabin, it must surely be a transport to the battlefield, the danger of these weapons in this kind of space does not permit this kind of use... unless someone wants to make a big jump out. Anyway thank you for the answer.

Hi all, In a documentary about the Huey, a brief shot left to see a small size "tube" seemed mounted on the right side of the chopper. It looked like a 57mm or 75mm recoilless rifle, however, the gaz ejection area in the back of the tube would normally be dangerous in an enclosure as small as the cabin of the UH-1. Has anybody ever seen or heard about a combination like that ? Thanks in advance.

				Soviet Constant X/Have X aircraft?
B52STRATO replied to thodouras95's topic in Military and General Aviation
There is also the story of an F-51 who landed in North-Korea, but at this time the Soviets shurely know much about this aircraft. -

Six F-6A-NA (later designated P-51-2-NA) "Apache" with K24 recon cameras were sent to the 154th Observation Squadron (of the XII Air Support Command) in Tunisia on April 2 1943. The next day one the pilots, the 2nd Lieutnant Kenner lost his life aboard one of them, and the first operational mission was on the April 9. Some weeks after they were sent to the 111th Reconnaissance Squadron, they were the only P-51 "Mustang/Apache" in operations over North Africa. They were made on base of original R.A.F "Mustang" Mk. IA with 4x20mm cannons. Hope it help you -
It makes you want to come here, only to hear the screaming from the Dragonfly or the Magister ! Alas what will become of these wonders had once retired, will they let civilians be able to buy and fly them ? Or the air forces will let them become relics, preserved in museums (although it's always better than see them get dismantled and scrap) ? There are still an old M.S Paris who fly in France, the only problem is these commentators who still have to open their big mouths, restricting us from listening to the music of heaven.

Uh uh uh, may this founds will be used to relaunch some ex-"homemade" projects. -
Like these ones. I'm aware that an ex-U.S.M.C AV-8A and B pilot is now flying a Harrier FRS.2 at some airshows. There is also a two seats F-100 who is still airborn, some A-4 and F-4, but it seems hard to find any fifty to forthy years old planes... like A-6, A-7 or even F-8...

Hi to everyones. Is there still some "special" aircraft decommissioned but having their approved flight licence ? Does these Intruder wonders still got a legal clearance to fly ? Even uncommon aircraft such as the Alizée are now grounded, and probably for the rest of their life, considered as asbestos flying bricks.

Strangely the White color is often associated to the Royalty and obedience. Perhaps it rejoins one of the numerous common concepts from the worldwide Navies ?

				Microwave owen that changes warfare?
B52STRATO replied to hrc's topic in Military and General Aviation
Does CHAMP can also cooking chicken ? Interesting micro-wave application, but the amount of pulse may be lethal (after years) for the people inside the target. It really looks like to be a Neutron Bomb, but non-nuclear. -
Exemplary. Besides, I would like to take this article an umpteenth time to greet the brave men who helped us during various hurricanes that struck us. Whether the American pilots who landed in storm with their C-130 and C-17 the day after The 1995 hurricane has hit us, civilian worldwide pilots on various aircrafts from IL-76 to the Cessna Caravan, and ,of course, every French Air Force Transall, Alouette III and Ecureuil crew.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/JustPlaneWrong "In reality, a plane that loses power retains its aerodynamic properties and momentum and can be guided down to an emergency landing if the pilot doesn't manage to restart the engines. In fiction, a plane that loses power instantly slows to zero speed and plummets." Partially right. The C-172 lift-to-drag max ratio or even the 747 (which got a better one) is the perfect exemple of what they said, but some models, especially military, get some of the worst gliding ratio when their engines are shut off.

Good luck. The larger islands have again been hit. Hoping that this does not happen on densely populated areas.

Whaa these poor guys must have done in their clothes !!! Looks like, from the beginning of the video, the supply would be conducted in a turbulence area.

I personnaly always give a top place to this one...
