ok as said i took a look at the Arnie Phantom in NF5 and it would be the most upto date for patches and what have you. still has some ini editing to do IMHO but did not see anything amiss. awaiting screenies before further comment/assistance.

which version of the E_79 are you using? just went to look at the one in NF5 and the inboard pylons look fine to me. decalling is another matter given i dont remember the 480th TFS's tailcode being CE.......

Viggen i just have the rudder checkerboard in the White folder for my decal pack. nothing in the Euro 1 or Hill grey as they did not fly in those schemes. they also changed up their layout alot of times, while most units in my pack stayed relatively the same throughout the years after 73. @ macelena, you know i honestly forgot bout the J_74 i released! working on skins and decals or a newer one. lod with DECM built in provided by Sundowner, skins orig by the same but adjusted to be decal friendly by yours truly. and decal setup similar to the USAF pack. due to a couple other projects and schoolwork will be abit longer two weeks than most. to all working this...... on the shorter two weeks side got C-130E serials done for SEA and Euro 1 skins on Dels Hercs.......

there are some excellent skins for the 57th FIS in the Gen 2 DL section that you should be able to use. also i know a guy that made a decal pack for all USAF tactical users (non ADC tasked units) as well. (ok so i'm tootin my own horn there...........). finally theres been alot of conversation in macelana's NA improvement thread lately about USMC units that were there around 79.

yes they were. went to ADC Grey only a few months before the E's arrived. first checkerboard on the rudder then in a similar pattern to the stock decal.

ah that was the other reason i got SF2V. full merged but all other titles are to support my SF2E and Phantoms!

i would love to help out but 1. you cant usually port to an older edition of the software and 2. i'm taking a class learning how to use it right now. FastCargo has mentioned that using Blender then transferring to Max 2009 has the least amount of screwiness in translation. when i get better at it i want to make a C-23 Sherpa (good simply place to start i think) then eventually work on the Midway class if WhiteBoySamurai hasnt gotten to there. but the Sherpa or even rocket pods ar more two months off than two weeks. skinning i could defineatly help with now though once they're mapped.

morteza there is a Fencer in the NF5 mod. you would have to d/l the whole thing to get it but then you can skin it to your liking for the IRIAF. @ cocas wish i could help but i only have Max2012 right now. looks awesome though, esp the aircraft you cant get any way on this site

nice but Navy/Marine Phantoms didnt fly with PGMs. never wired to carry the designator pods and the mission more typically went to the Intruder and SLUF units. some of the pilots pushed for the capability but it was never approved. more likley for a B to use Mk 82s or task a D or E model on it to get early gen LGBs on the bridge.

cant think of a tool off hand to just draw a dotted line. could make a selection box following the path you want it to go then clone the original dash or erase off of a solid line........ hopefully someone else has a better ide for Gimp. btw do you have any way to declare yourself a student or teacher? yes the question is somewhat related.....

VMFA-115 had J's til 83. deployed on Forrestal 80-81 while VF-11 was transitioning to the tomcat. i know made a tga for them...... can lookk up the others for what model tho i believe most were J or S. straight B's phased out by 78. however who exactly is VMFA-501? aint any Phantom phlyers i've read about. did you mean 531?

Take a bit for specifics. for most part would say in '79 go fer F-4J/N, A-4s, A-6s. EA-6 and AV-8A in the mix as well. damn shame is the rotors are on other sites that dont share with us. Would need AH-1J, UH-1N, CH-53 and Ch-46.

Thanks Diego. will need to print that and go over it on paper me thinks, but since i only run Gen 2 no worries bout converting to Gen 1. the LAPES model i currently have is w/o chute. the crater info is good to have tho as it also sinks into the ground. think i need to study paratroopers abit more to see how they deploy chutes AFTER exiting the aircraft and see what need applied. that is my hang up now is the lack of chutes.

For anyone that can finagle their way into it, Creative Cloud is being offered at the student/ teacher rate of 19.99 for a one year subscription right now. slightly irks me as my wife found out start the trial run of it herself AFTER i signed up at 29.99. still breaks it down semi manageable to utilize CS6. question to any other established users: how useful wouldAdobe Illustrator be for modding? looking thru another site at blueprints and several have vector files that open with Illustrator.

two questions here really. first is: shouldn't the LAPES weapon to load on the C-130 have a parachute on the back end? as i have it (believe from Gunnys wep pack) it comes out the back end just as a pallet. second question (heres the request) is: would anyone want to knock out a few vehicles for LAPES delivery? yes i know the game doesnt really support resupply missions but we do have player flyable trash haulers and things for them to deliver (paratroopers, jeeps etc) would add to the variety to have some Sheridans, Hummvee's and jeeps to go out the back end. its a thought. whatchyou guys think?
