i had same issue with the original SA341 Gazelle. did that until power was applied then boom! the new version in the SF2 download section works like a charm tho. maybe look at the two and see whats goin on.

oooooh on skids. as to rotor diameter i've been dealin mostly in Mil helos and some european ones. the diameters are usually 17-18 and i had to reduce em to around 7-8. of course results may vary. at least marcfighters Mil-8 works fine in Gen2. even kept the UN skin after bein buzzed by one on the perimeter road in kandahar!

i don't know about YAP but with certain other helos i had to drastically reduce the rotor diameter to get them to rotate at a proper speed. now they make great targets(red side) and traffic(blue side) for GermanyCE. sink in the ramlp wouldnt that be reducing the landing gear wheel diameter or are you askin somethin completely different?

the following was explaned to me by a CWO3 in iraq back in 05. a DOD directive comes down to all four branches to secure a particular building. here is what happens............ A Sailor walks up to the building, and locks all doors and windows. Bldg secured. A team of Airmen negotiate a contract for the use of the building, utilities and furnishings for the next year. Bldg secured. A Soldier finds himself as part of a team forming a perimeter around the building, observing and reporting to higher headquarters. Bldg secured. The Marine............... the Marine is part of a rifle company assaulting the building with air and fires support. Building Secured.

my two cents on the Gen1/ Gen2 debate: those that can afford it should get Gen2. I describe it best as Strike Fighters in HD. that said i also understand that there are those out there who cannot afford or do not want to upgrade their systems. for them Gen1 is as alive as ever. there are some things also that one can find (not including multi-player) in Gen1 that aren't in Gen2. (Euro1 scheme for Phantoms comes to mind) to those who put in the time to downgrade new mods, thank you. to those who don't we need to get offa our butts and utilize the KB.

we could wait and see but that would be totally boring. instead we shall follow our fearless leaders example and speculate.
