or release it as a 707-310 or -321 or such. the -3xx number was different for alot of airframes with Boeings customer codes for the original airframes
-
hey i was out that way. but you mightve been lookin the wrong direction.... wakey wakey, snoozin Navy
-
oooooorrrr (and im just spitballin here) use this for real aircraft tga base liveries, El Al is on there for all eras that they flew big Boeings. if you want to use as a static, take the tga from the above, and adjust it onto the skin itself

again, findin things while lookin for other things. this was the best pic i could get of this tail it dont look too bad given the p*** poor ref pics i had to work with. just a little tweaking maybe, but not bad for mostly scratch made ignore the numbers, i just plugged into an empty ODS slot to do the artwork

yeah, fonts can be a b.....

what, you dont wanna work with the batshit crazy, schizophrenic skins tends to make me amazed when i do work with one thats well laid out

MiGBuster beat me to the punch, contact on some of the public forums (FB, Twitter etc) . you should get a fast response if for no other reason to get the bad news off the feed

in Adobe (maya or max) its a transparent material. a blinn in maya. not sure if its texture in Blender (what im guessing toot is using) and yes you have to actively add it. you could just select the faces that are the windows, although it would be better for them to be seperate objects. if htey arent, consider detaching them from the nose somehow also, i suggest taking a look at a few completed aircraft in Mue's lodviewer to see how things are laid out in general. looking at the main objects and their child objects. it should help as you are setting up your own models

you say to yourself, "its fine, i've got everything that was there" then you read some other article looking for something completely different more Desert Storm tail arts

wondering if anyone has heard from FastCargo outside of here? i know he hasnt been around these parts in several years little tribute, after reading the original thread on the Bones from even longer ago

most of us are reasonable. show us a problem, give details to get our eyes directly to the issue and we will fix it even if its a mod we wrapped along time ago. many dont have folks look at their work before release, and even those that do, stuff gets missed. i did redownload and take a peek due to this arguement though. plus Alconbury seemed a better place to set up a loading screen than Aviano. @Sundowner, got another airfield issue for you. I know its in Scotland and all, but pretty sure the hills shouldnt be overrunning the pavement did have an amusing hop from the grassy EOR onto the proper runway tho
-
well it was meant to be humorous, obviously you didnt take as such but it does stand that there are several airfields. if its a noticable enough to take a screenie and post, then go back and see where you were. when i have an issue, i do try to help and mention where i was flying out of. since i havent flown in the UK terrain in years, i have obviously have no interest in seeing which of dozens it is. Sundowner worked this years ago; despite it being his terrain he most likely doesnt remember every airfield by sight. so to recap, if something bothers you enough to mention publicly, then at least give more details as well as the screenshot. terrains have alot more parts than aircraft or ground objects and giving both will help the modder to fix the issue.

(puts on retired NCO cap) really? how can he unfuck the problem if you cant even give him directions to the problem?!?!?!? theres multiple airbases in the terrain, and its not like he's being paid for tech support on it. only slight defense is that it did take him almost 3 years to reply to the original problem.... (NCO cap back off, walk into the kitchen for more coffee)

What Cat are A-4B cockpit textures in?
daddyairplanes replied to dtmdragon's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
i doubt that, i've never had issue with your English but your post was sufficient at "CAT001". all the rest and the pic distract from the actual information requested and while you did provide a list that had the information itself, some people like to do their own reading nothing wrong either way. -
ini edits and brain farts....
daddyairplanes replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
scrooled through 60 pages of the modding and skinning section looking at about a dozen that looked like they had an answer. the few with examples all said "(meshname)_ok" really it works either way, i tried Coupis way fully at first(without), then went back and added the _ok. that wasnt the issue after all. now i just wait on a fellow coyote to check messages. pivot points i cannot change axis of in ini! -

daddyairplanes replied to daddyairplanes's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
thank you, that did it. it was truly a brainfart moment. i was calling the destroyed model name, rather than the node name. the "(modelName)_ok" was shown in all the other examples i did find on here, several from the esteemed other Kevin (Wrench) your answer did get my eyes on it and fixed though! -
trying to do the old antennae blade removal trick, but getting stuck somewhere. cant find the original thread on it, but caught a few that reference. what i have is Component[010]=Move1 ... the immediately below taht ... [Move1] ParentComponentName=Radar ------------------- i have also tried ParentComponentName=Fuselage ModelNodeName=Radar_ok DestroyedModelName=Radar DetachWhenDestroyed=TRUE HasAeroCoefficients=FALSE but damn thing still shows in game. what am i missing here?

i agree that they should be given a fair shot while it remains freeware. between many of the allegations against the original combined with being payware, YAP didnt have a good rep. the only thing i ever saw going for them was the availability of some models like the F-100F. looking at some of their paid skins even made me feel better about my abilities when similar products got compared. YAP-RW is doing something that i very much dig though: taking the older stuff in the archives, dusting it off and making it as close to new as possible. that they are doing it with content that was previously off limits to many is cooler still. the only turn off for me still is that im not that into Vietnam era topics! but "Ralph" has been doing good with whats there (and i do need to ask him for his C-17s in the near future)

gotcha didnt read as far up as i should have i guess. advice stands for you and the viewers at home for the future tho...
