The Sukhoi Su-17 (NATO reporting name: Fitter) is a Soviet variable-sweep wing fighter-bomber developed from the Sukhoi Su-7. It enjoyed a long career in Soviet, later Russian, service and was widely exported to Eastern Bloc, Arab air forces, Angola and Peru as the Su-20 and Su-22. It is the first variable-sweep wing of Soviet origin. These are earlier models. As the model was good I asked only for deleting dorsal antenna. All things stopped when someone told me a bigger project was started about ALL Sukhois family. In fact I saw a lot of fantastic pictures about it, but years went by and no Sukhoi was realised. So I lost any hope about it and decided to finish up my very ancient skinpack using Y. Gordon book. This plane has the same dorsal antenna I wanted to delete, but I think is quite good, now in a far better dressing than original one and this is the only one Sukhoi we have to fit in all comunity scenarios. The Sukhoi Su-25 (NATO reporting name: "Frogfoot") is a single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft developed in the Soviet Union by the Sukhoi Design Bureau. It was designed to provide close air support for the Soviet Ground Forces. The first prototype made its maiden flight on 22 February 1975. After testing, the aircraft went into series production in 1978 at Tbilisi in the Soviet Republic of Georgia. Russian air and ground forces nicknamed it "Grach" ("Rook"). F-5E - The F-5 was also adopted as an opposing forces (OPFOR) "aggressor" for dissimilar training role because of its small size and performance similarities to the Soviet MiG-21. The F-5E served with the US Air Force from 1975 until 1990, in the 64th Aggressor Squadron and 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, and with the 527th Aggressor Squadron at RAF Alconbury in the UK and the 26th Aggressor Squadron at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. F-5N - Ex-Swiss Air Force F-5Es used by the US Navy as an "aggressor" aircraft, with AN/APG-69 replacing the original AN/APQ-159. Intended to replace high-time USN/USMC F-5Es in the adversary role, and saw service through 2015. This is a complete overhaul/update/fixing of great Dave original package, an handmade reskin using Lod viewer and no templates. The job was started several years ago and finished after downloaded last Kevin's effort. So you'll find, jpg textures, SM files, fixed camo, lines and right shaped stripes and some missing parts added to originals. As I always dislike redoing someone's else work pratice without a valid reason, this job started only for personal use, but when became a complete overhaul, I decided to share. As a bonus a Defence Systems Evaluation skin made by myself using TW silver skin as template (EB-57B) and a second AVON 1 skin for 13 BS. Decals are taken from Dave's package and some are brand new. South Africa was one of the The largest export customers for Mirage IIICs built in France as the Mirage IIICZ (16). Some export customers obtained the Mirage IIIB, Mirage IIIBZ (3) and Mirage IIIDZ (3) and Mirage IIID2Z (11) were for South Africa. A good number of IIIEs were built for export as well, South Africa had the Mirage IIIEZ (17) too. Export versions of the Mirage IIIR were built for South Africa as the Mirage IIIRZ (4), and Mirage IIIR2Z (4) with an Atar 9K-50 jet engine. You will have ALL those SAAF Mirages (58) by numbers and letters in a single pack, designed for long waited south african scenery. The IIIC/RZ served with 2nd squadron from 1963-4 till 1990 The IIIEZ served with 2nd squadron from 1966 till 1970, then with 3rd attack squadron untill 1975, when that unit was equpped with Mirage F.1. So they went to 85th Combat Flying School squadron and were retired in 1986. The IIIDZ served with 3rd attack squadron and then 85th Combat Flying School, alongside IIIEZ from 1970 until 1986. South African Air Force (SAAF) used Mirage III operationally to great effect in Angola. In 1979 a SAAF Mirage IIIRZ was shot down near Ongiva, in Angola. The wreckage of the aircraft was recovered by the Angolans. Built as a successor to the PBM Mariner, it had better engines, an improved hull, and a single vertical fin tail. The P5M-1 was followed by 116 P5M-2 planes. These had a T-tail to put the tail surfaces out of the spray, an AN/ASQ-8 MAD boom at the rear of the tail-tip, no tail guns (the gun position replaced by he antenna for the AN/APN-122 Doppler Navigation Set), better crew accommodation, and an improved bow to reduce spray during takeoff and landing.
