  1. You're in deep do-do when the Algerian AF rejects your jet for lack of performance.................
  2. Hi-speed pass duly noted below tail. My guess just about to go off...................POW!
  3. At least until another Bakke case hits the Supreme Court. Prejudice goes two ways.
  4. Hey, if you don't have kids, can I be one? How do you ever get out of the house to work?
  5. Wow! Can Robinho dance or what? I do admit that this is common among Brazilians. It's in their blood......................que coaisa!!
  6. Boy, that's a first. A politically correct Fast Cargo. What's the world coming to? For those watching...IT'S A JOKE!

    Happy Birthday Jug

Thanks for the kind wishes from all. Life is great when there is CA to go to after work. Don't know what I would do without this community. Not sure how old I am since I stopped counting about 155 years ago. I do remember walking to school with Methusala............
  8. You know, Dave, I have been an active member on this forum and this web site for years and plan to continue and contriubute. I, for one, cannot imagine who would jump you guys for details! My response to them is, "What have you done here (contributed) that makes you other than a bitcher and moaner?" I guess in any crowd of world wide participants (all greatly appreciated) there is always the "cup-half-empty" crowd (negative attitude about everything). From what I have read on these forums, fortunately, those are in a minority. To those who write constructive criticism and offer their hand with what they can do if nothing more that praise the modders here, keep above the fray and keep your eyes on the prize (hours of fun-filled enjoyment). To the other crowd, "Bite me!" seems appropriate. You're too much of a gentleman to say it, but I'm not.
  9. A lot of effort and heart went into this project and I want you to know that it is greatly appreciated. My hero for lots of years was this mild-mannered Wisconsin farm boy and my first model was a P-38 with "Marge" and 40 Jap flags on the front. He is certainly not forgotten by anyone in the US military aviation community. He is legend.

    England shuts down

When I was stationed at RAF Alconbury I chanced on the most lovely of weather incidents, a snow thunderstorm, lightning and all. It was gorgeous. Big puffy flakes of snow and soft flashes of brilliant lightning to set it all off. Actually made Brampton appear quite nice!
  11. My priorities are to fly and fight, to attack until there is nothing left to attack with, and to kill MiGs........................anything less is.........well.............less.
  12. Well said and I join in. Thanks to you all.
  13. Anybody over there heard of Texas? They still are the leading state over here in sending the meritorious and worthy to meet their maker. Love to see the pious UK judge review the "lads" when the victim is his own daughter. Gives turning the other cheek a whole new meaning. Racin, my heart goes out to your neice and to your family.
  14. Welcome new members. You will find a very moderate group of moderators here and, I think, they do an exemplary job of keeping the threads on focus. This is THE flight sim site.
  15. GWAR, I'm with you on your soapbox. Left far too many unaccounted for in that distant land a long time ago. Not far enough nor too long ago to forget!
  16. One each grand ATTABOY to the dev team. Terrific job and wonderful addition to our environment. Thanks to all.
  17. Hear, Hear to that. My heartiest congratulations to all who contributed to this marvelous campaign. Thank you all.
  18. The pilot survived with a neck abrasion and a sea-water soaked flight suit....................downright scary!!!! cv42f8eject.wmv
  19. Just gets better and better. Thanks in advance to all participants. Gonna be a party on the big beach.....................
  20. No way! Case 1: Emergency procedures for single engine drivers engine loss. 1. Check altitude (if low go to 3.) 2. Try restart 3. Jettison aircraft Emergency procedures for multi-engine drivers engine loss. 1 thru 718, repeat for second engine, repeat for third engine, etc. etc. Case 2: More engines, more cost per jet. Go with Russian philosophy: Buy many cheap jets with same amount of rubles for half as many expensive jets. Overwhelm bad guys with numbers. That was the starting philosophy for the F-16 until General Dynamics upped the ante. Still, how many updated F-16s can the military buy for the same $$ that 100 F-22s cost? How did the Allies win WWII? Numbers, boys and girls, numbers! Sorry, Dave, got carried away. Wrong thread again.
  21. Ed, I hope your birthday brings many happy returns. I, for one, want to celebrate this momentous occasion by thanking you for the huge contributions you have made to this sim and to CA. Since I cannot serve you up with a cold one on your birthday, let me drink it for you in your honor. Thanks, Jug
  22. I am available to help with the lighting. I can research and fix the .INI files for lighting on any aircraft. Not much to offer, but it may save a modder with a model near completion some painful hours. Probably the wrong thread to mention this, so sue me. (I've left the comment post in, as Jug's work with lighting is a critical to the enjoyment of night flying )
  23. The first battle of the War of Northern Aggression (1860-1865) did not turn out so well for the sons of the South, and, to tell the truth, I am glad of that. There are some things to remember from the old South that are good, but embracing that also embraces the bad stuff and that sorta puts you on the other side of the fence from this native son. Driving the BUFF as a SAC crew commander / cold warrior was for America. All of it.
