Interestingly it looks like a Eurocopter may have managed to land on the Everest summit in a publicity stunt! I know which method I would prefer - that's right flying right over it in a jet and ignoring that pointless piece of snowy rock.

Interesting article - good find!

Just a case of putting files into the correct folders - you should find readmes in some mods also. There should be info in here http://combatace.com/forum/99-thirdwire-woewoiwovsf-1-knowledge-base/

A very happy Birthday to you all :drinks:

From what i remember - the YAP carriers were setup with planes spread accross either the landing or catapults - this was because in scripted missions they used 1 carrier for take off and a second carrier for landing on. The downside of this was you cant take off AND land on a single carrier without removing the planes in the way. To do this you need the original 3D model files. I was hoping they would release a few of them with a usable configuration.

crikey - theres a sight to behold

According to TK SF2 had support for dual/multi core CPUs from the go - although only in certain areas of the coding - and these have been increased slowly to what we have now.
-
Are they not showing at all? - have you tried increasing the size limits for the bays?
-
Basically you want more body movement to allow for looking around seats etc - would be really handy in the F-102 where I cant even look around the frame to shoot straight! First Eagles 2 feels like you can move your head sideways further - although not sure if this is the really the case without further investigation.

Sounds like you have the wrong version of the editor! Nothing should be lost if you still have the weapondata.ini. All it does is create a weapondata.dat from the weapondata.ini when you click save. make sure you are opening weapondata.ini from inside the weapons folder only. The editor may need to be set to win 98 compat mode. if that doesnt work you will need to state the version of the editor and the patch level of the SF1 game

Mine is installed to a secondary partition and works fine from there - although probably anywhere other than the program files folders should work.

by default yes its IAS unless you change it or load in pit settings. Get to 500kts IAS, dip the nose down 30 degrees or so then see what return you get in a slice - dont assume you have to stay at 20k. If an enemy jet is at 20k, find out about it at least 20 miles away and use AIM-120s The only situations I might turn like that at that altitude is in dogfight mode guns only or if I see a SAM coming up - but depends on the situation really.
-
You go into a different radar modes depending on what mode you are currently in - the differences are in chapter 4 and 21 STT mode will give you the best lock and best chance of success because its only concentrating on that one target. Bugged is SAM mode - not as good as STT but shows other jets.
-
Probably not a bug - its just physics - When you were at 20kft were you at 440 Indicated AS or 440 True AS? You will probably find it will do it at over 500kTAS at a guess - but its not the same - you get less thrust and less lift at 20kft.

Sad to hear - RIP leslie - thanks for the great films and the many laughs

You can bring up the notice by going to one http://icqshoes.com/ There is nothing to say where those sites actually were now the names all point back to the same server - so not much to go on. Bottom line is - whoever is in control of the Internet infrastructure will want to excert some level of control over it (now they know what it is)! Moving to a decentralised structure where countries own governments control it means more or less control (look at Chinas efforts for example) - people might have a lot more to moan about. The extra control was inevitable especially due to the amount of trade and commerce now done over it - the days where people can do what they like regardless of morals or values could be on their way out - particularly where it interferes with economic or security interests. As for the future of the net - its up to them it seems.

Hi Corktip - everyone needs a break at times

Is there nothing in the SF2 section? The white parts just mean you are missing files it needs - worth checking to see if there is an old thread with the files required listed

Tears as last Harrier jets leave Ark Royal
MigBuster posted a topic in Military and General Aviation
from (Has Video) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11830094 A formation of Harrier jump jets has made its final journey from HMS Ark Royal - the last such flight from a UK aircraft carrier for about 10 years. The four GR9 jets marked the end of an era when they roared off the deck near North Shields, North Tyneside. Both the Ark Royal and the Harriers are being scrapped under cost-saving plans. The Harriers, heading to RAF Cottesmore in Rutland, will be decommissioned in 2011 and replaced by the F35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft. The Ark Royal was sailing across the North Sea to Hamburg in Germany. Lt Cdr James Blackmore, who was the last Harrier pilot to leave, said he was immensely proud. 'Emotional moment' "It is amazing. I watched a Harrier hovering over Chatham dockyard when I was eight years old and I am now fortunate enough to be flying the Harrier today," he said. "It's an amazing aircraft, superb to fly and just very enjoyable." HMS Ark Royal is like the girlfriend you hate and you only realise you loved her when she has binned you” PO Andrew Collins The crew of the 22,000-tonne Ark Royal, which has seen active service in the Balkans and 2003 invasion of Iraq, lined the decks to watch the historic departure. Captain Jerry Kyd said there was a tear in his eye when the last Harrier left. "It was an emotional moment and also one of real pride as we look back over 25 years service to Queen and country," he said. "No naval officer wants to see any ship decommissioned early and she is a fine vessel and she has a fine history. "She is at the peak of her efficiency but one understands that very difficult decisions have to be made across government." One senior officer described the decision to scrap both the jets and carrier as "madness". Petty Officer Andrew Collins, 26, from Glasgow, said: "HMS Ark Royal is like the girlfriend you hate and you only realise you loved her when she has binned you." And Petty Officer David Terracciano, 31, from Portsmouth, added he was "gutted". The Ark Royal - the Royal Navy's flagship - will eventually head back to her Portsmouth base on 3 December. It will be replaced by the Queen Elizabeth class of aircraft carrier at the end of the decade, which will carry F35 Joint Strike Fighter aircraft. A group of former Royal Navy admirals have suggested scrapping the Harrier force and HMS Ark Royal could leave the Falklands open to attack - a claim denied by ministers who insist the UK will still be able to defend the islands. retards -
Yeah I wish the best NK could muster was some old MiG-29s in that ! One factor in this is that South Korea has a lot more to lose - like a good economy - NK have pretty much nothing to lose - apart from the knowledge that they can push SK pretty far as we are seeing!

What mods do you have? the more SAMs, AAA firing the more it will hit the FR. If you have Green Hell with lots of trees that will also bring things down. In Linebacker II you get massive strike packages with loads of SAM/AAA - you need a very good rig to run that with high gfx settings. You need to compromise your in-game and card settings until you hit a happy medium for you.
